The opener feels so much smoother and impactful when you have that 24 insanity prepull. I’m okay with every other change they made, but this one really bothers me, it feels so awkward trying to get that first DP out.
Even with having the insanity pre pull it was still annoying to have to cast divine star especially on raszageth because you would end up pulling the boss. I agree with the idea of passively generating insanity to 24 because like you said in the video classes already have these baked into their class. Another great video thanks Publik!
I wanna enjoy SP again, but idk if I ever will after Legion launch, can it ever get better than that? Most fun I have ever had on any class in WoW mechanically. Like, take the cast time off void eruption and make it drain faster while you fight to stay insane.

Hello Mr. Lik I believe your weakaura for Devastation evokers is bugged. It always displays the "off cd" text on Fire Breath, even though the ability is still very much on cooldown. There's also something fucky going on with the essence tracker in said aura. Thank you for all the work you do on these weakauras, they have made my years of WoW so much better.
Can you give me the talent build you are using? Unfortunately there are some bugs on blizzard side with their api so I have to do some weird workaround for the breath spells. I thought I covered it all by maybe missed something
Just tested devastation and augmentation on the latest version of my set with and without Font of Magic and both sets of Hero Talents and wasnt able to reproduce the issue. I know what youre talking about though I just thought I already fixed it. If you could update to the latest version and give me a talent string i will take a look!
Maybe a talent where every 1 minute your next VT also applies DP to the target ? And perhaps give us a spell that would make your target splash its active devouring plague. Spreading it to all adds in a radius around it. It would get the ball rolling nice and quick for an opening burst.
Killing DS openers really suck, and it's not like you can't go into a fight with pooled insanity they still just reset it to a baseline amount on pull so why not revert it or put the final nail in the coffin and reset insanity to 0 on pull? all these specs that have a similar resource should auto increase up to 50 out of combat. Shadow and elemental are so annoying having to ramp up the resource
It seems that if we press halo we get 10 insanity, however, if we use SC on cd, even tho the 6 insanity is refunded, the original 10 gained through halo doesnt start to go down. So technically if you have a lot of time you CAN get to 30 insanity before pull haha. Rotation would look something like [ Halo > SC > SC > Halo > SC > SC > SC > Halo}
blizz should give us a talent that when we are out of combabt every few seconds we gets stacks on mind blast were the first time we use it it will generate 24 or how ever much insanity we need its just a idea not sure if its good just wanted to give my thoughts :)
Eh prepull shenanigans are gutter design in IMO. I won’t miss them if they get removed. There are better ways to address a slow opener but those can be done by the designers in combat or passive insanity generation as you brought up. Glad to see that for now archon is viable for those of us who hate dark ascension’s lazy and flavorless game design. We’re here to play a game with cooldowns that have real gameplay implications not just look at numbers pop up on a screen.
Let’s keep bringing it up on the forums! If we ran around with baseline of some amount of insanity out of combat would be simple to implement and an easy fix.
Balance druid is interesting as it is a full talent that goes all the way to 50 out of combat and then passive regen during combat. Would definitely be cool but also we don't need that much to solve the immediate issue. Our talent tree is already bloated point-wise so i would be worried about just adding this to the tree without shuffling things around.
hmm after watching Max tierlist discussion, seeing both shadow specs in C Tier and totally dead Tier.....maybe I should play something else, I mean, that looks horrible no?I mean that sounds pretty deppresing, dont wanna be doing 98th percentile dps in raid and get out dpsed by 40 percentile enha shaman.....like thats not fun
Final tuning is still very much not done, dont read too much into the tierlist. That opinion I gave was more about the state of the spec overall including design and not simply strength.

Entropic Rift is already a busy short window, whereas Void Eruption adds a new button (Void Bolt) and does damage over a long period. On top of that Voidweaver's tree interacts with Mindbender/Inescapable Torment gameplay which aligns with Dark Ascension's timer. Also for some reason Entropic Rift ticks are buffed by Dark Ascension so it kind of has an unfair advantage imo

Make mind blast generate double insanity when we're sub 20 insanity. It won't fix the issue but would certainly help the opener and maybe DP spam sessions in aoe.
If shadow wasnt dead already, this really kills it. Imo even in M+, where a boss without 100/150 insanity pre pull feels (and in numbers is) some kind of a fight with only 70-80% participation. RIP my love.
As you go up in higher keys shadow does really well in AoE and that is still true in the war within. Lower keys should feel better with voidweaver as well
Mind spike ruined the class fantasy aspect of spriest. Honestly, Spike in season 1 DF was good. It was only used when you proc'd it. Proc'd abilities or just proc'd mind blast was able to be cast without interrupting flay's channel. Season 1 DF was the best build spriests had.
before bfa launch they openly admitted they ran out of time and promised to fix shadow by .1 patch, which they never really did imo, i remember leveling as disc cuz it did more damage and could survive if i accidentally pulled more than one mob as the same time, it was a complete shitshow, wasn't it?

Honestly, it sucks to have to do it but race change to Belf for the extra 15 on pull is a decent bridge

they could just make the first plague free upon entering combat via VT or something or other, via a new talent if they prune a 2-pointer /shrug

We had something similar but it was called Damnation, was never used in PvE content and just felt a little out of place IMO

We're still playing Shadow after multiple re-works and changes every major patch, we are most definitely a bit insane.

The tentacle keeps damaging mobs out of combat, Even in dj, when packs were far away.
So I play other classes for Now, hope it will be fixed for tww
I think the bug seems specifically for mobs that are far away but yeah definitely not great

why does voidweaver is a better pairing with Dark Ascension and not so much void eruption?
Short answer: shorter burst windows with Entropic Rift (via Void Torrent) and hard hitting Void Blasts.

Only issue i had playing Spriest was lack of aoe. Do they have better aoe now?
