But on the other hand, he was dangerous to everyone and everything in any universe. Mark was stuck with the impossible task of stopping and containing a man who could not be stopped and could not be contained.
Tbh, I actually do think even if Angstrom killed Mark, the way he talked to Debbje made it sound like even if he got the satisfaction of killing Mark, he'd turn his anger towards Debbie and hurt her/kill Oliver. There was genuinely nothing I think Mark could realistically do or say that would sway Angstrom.
In the comics, he wanted to do more than just kill her. And he doesn't want to stop there. He wants to travel the multiverse and do it over and over again, until he's just too old to do it.
This episode was wild! To be fair, Mark didn't have too much else choice. He DID try to talk it out a few times but in Angstrom's defense, if he has 100+ memories of this guy killing his family, it'll be justified. His life’s been so depressing realizing he can’t be a normal person losing his gf and everyone in his life is attacked.
