The same thing applies to Peacemaker series, but James Gunn said that all of the events in Peacemaker will be canon, just not exactly how it plays out in the show because the show is technically still tied to the DCU. I really have high hopes for Gunn's DCU, but it is off to pretty confusing start already with how Gunn keeps certain actors as certain characters as canon, and certain events as canon for his universe, while also erasing 99.9% of everything else.

I really enjoy this movie. Seeing Xolo again was already a treat since I’m a huge CK fan, but this was the perfect way to start this new DC Cinematic Universe. Maybe a little predictable but it’s an origin story, you see enough of those, you can kinda see most things coming. However the characters were likeable, the story is solid, the action is fun and inventive. Personally, I have no issues with this movie.
I just want to give some context for the opening scene. First, yes. In Mexico and America there is very little government oversight for the housing market so a landlord can just arbitrarily set the rent. Second, he gave a 25% tip even though they're broke because like America people who work jobs that have tips usually are paid less than minimum wage because the tips are supposed to make up for the difference. So even though they're broke by him giving 25% instead of 10% or less it shows the audience that he's a good person to everyone not just his family.....also j is pronounced like h in Spanish so Jamie becomes Hamie
should’ve released this for spanish heritage month ngl the reason this did so bad was because it was in the middle of the DCU crisis and cinemas being low originally this was supposed to be a HBO max film
the blue beetle movie was fun but it felt too predictable, the villains were weak, and the pacing was off. some of the cgi looked rough too but ig it was like a 6/10 i expect nothing less
How was this any different than iron man 1. Well aside from it having better pacing it also suffered from a weak villain but what do you expect for the hero first time out fight a thanos level threat

I really liked this movie. It deserved way more credit that it got. It's no masterpiece, but was overall a solid comic book adaptation.
Facts, it just has so much heart put into it. You can feel the love for the character through the screen its amazing.
I feel like it only got hate because of how DC and WB handled the previous DC films and people went into this one already pessimistic.
