This! Realize that not only it affects regular guys wanting cool trucks but it makes it more expensive for every business to run. These emissions systems are so complex and almost designed to kill your motor. Only the largest companies can afford to buy and keep new trucks. This raises costs for everyone for an unknown "climate change" benefit. This is criminal what the left has done to this country. Hope that people who support this get theirs when shit hits the fan. Problem is this guy on the podcast thinks he can comply his way out of this. It wont happen.

All part of NWO, or as the ruling clan refers to it "Tikkun Olam". Look at daily, massive, sky spraying (aka chemtrails). Ruling clan members hold patents for the spray. It is happening, and it is deliberate. The rulers control $$, governments, and media (a lot more, including weather) but these are their most strategic control elements of modern society. It's all about controlling, and eliminating non-clan people. The EPA (like the CDC and every other executive branch agency, Congress, Presidents, the court system) is completely fraudulent. Sure, the EPA, and the rest of the federal "government" employs non-clan slaves. The genius of their control system is knowing how fool-proof employing slaves to be part of the control is. People do not bite the hand that feeds (particularly cops and other brainwashed rules enforcers). "Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the fields of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something, they know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they condemn it." - Woodrow Wilson (the U.S. President who privatized U.S. currency). "There will be in the next generation or so, a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude, and producing dictatorship without tears, so to speak.....Producing a kind of painless concentration camp for entire socities, so that people, will in fact, have their liberties taken away from them, but will rather enjoy it, because they will be distracted from any desire to rebel, by propaganda, or brainwashing enhanced by pharmacological methods.....And this seems to be the final revolution." - Aldous Huxley (purported author of Brave New World the "fictional" tale of toltalitarian ruled future society).

For the owners that leave their emissions intact then there needs to be some kind of tax incentive when we have to replace a emission component when it fails. These manufacturers and dealers are taking advantage of this.

Yes, or the EPA needs to warranty it for the life of the truck. And if there's any engine failures due to the emissions systems, they pay for a new one as well for life.
They make plenty of government funds and fines from shops....they got plenty of $$.
Once they see how much failure and it's on their dime, they may figure it out. But it's the government so I doubt it

This is hands down the best Diesel Podcast to date. What Mr Milliken is saying about 1980's gas vehicles vs todays gas vehicles and comparing to modern diesel emission controls is spot on. We are seeing history in progress and it will work out for diesel just like it has for gasoline vehicles. I retired from a 30 year career as a mechanic in 2010. I was licensed in CA to do Emission testing and repairs. I saw up close and personal what cars and light trucks went through in the 70's, 80's, and 90's. My 2021 L5P produces 445hp and 910 ft lbs of torque emission intact. That is so much higher torque and hp as compared to a 2002 Duramax with very little emission equipment. Mr Milliken is smart and willing to play by the rules. He is going to change the industry for the better and do it correctly. Look at Gale Banks for example. I would like to see some insight on what goes into passing the 49 state tests. What are they testing or measuring and what parameters do you have to stay in to pass. To me even 49 state emissions tuning or hard parts is going against the epa if you aren't supposed to go beyond factory parameters because you are burning more fuel to make more power even if the emissions are the same. And if the epa is only worried about emissions what does it matter how you get there in regards to making sure you can't turn off check engine lights or have all systems running like he was talking about. Why can't you just put a sensor on the tailpipe to get the final reading and be done with it. Any shop with a advanced enough scanner or state emissions test facility could pass or fail a truck after its been modified.

Banks stuff is great and Gale is smart as they come.
But their tunes on emissions trucks is weak. Like 60hp on the hot tune and maybe a little more for some platforms.
Others like Calibrated are already taunting compliant tunes for trucks that's 120hp or so on the tow or hot tune.
I have recently got a Super Gauge from Banks and like it a lot. Despite small screen. I have a Derringer but have not installed yet. I want the throttle Monster to take care of the lag. The prior 2 I got 2nd hand for a deal. The latter I am looking for the best deal. I'd say what I would have paid new for snappier throttle, 60hp and some viewed information, I would probably buy an BDX and custom compliant tune for a little more or close to the same and be much happier.
In the end I'd be way more happy to get tuned the old way with more power and less problem prone 'systems' hanging off the truck.

Unless you can't buy the parts direct or they are exclusive for the one particular diesel shop/tuner/business, a package won't save the business. At the end of the day, all your doing is providing a tune that can be put on a cloud and dropped to a truck anywhere. A guy can buy the parts over time when the deals are available and then just buy the tune later. And the only other benefit is installing for the customer in which they would be local or close enough to drive. To even make up profit that doesn't exist would mean your shop rates at $200+/hr and the tune fee of at least $500.

Hello, I have been watching several of your podcast’s on the EPA overreach and enforcement of laws. As a son of a drag racer and mechanic for over 40 years it is very upsetting that the EPA puts all these rules and laws that have been enforced on the Automotive Industry since the 1970’s and no proof that it actually does anything to improve or reduce emissions the costs that are passed on to the consumer over the years and continue to deploy rules and regulations all WITH OUT having to provide any proof that it actually does anything at all to reduce anything except fuel mileage.
Now they are going after cattle ranchers because some scientist have proven that cow’s farting actually produce way more emissions than vehicles or power plants… This should absolutely wake people up but it hasn’t so I don’t know if people are really paying attention to what is actually going on.
As far as it involves the diesel community and the current fuel (crisis and cost) wouldn’t it be better to have a trucks or cars that use LESS fuel per mile and doesn’t pollute more than a few cows passing gas in a field? If the EPA would be required to show end results for their suggested changes then they wouldn’t have a leg to stand on with enforcement.
NOW it’s all put on the consumer to pay for all the damage that the enforced emissions does to their $80,000 truck that they need to work with. I personally believe that the government is involved in this to cycle vehicles every 5 years because after that it will be rusted out so bad by the brine they put on the roads or having to put $10,000 worth of emissions parts or worse a whole motor due to emissions damage.
My 20 year old Dodge won’t pass inspection due to the frame rotted out so bad from the brine on the roadway. Believe me I take care of my stuff and it was garage kept and washed once a week so it wasn’t due to negligence on my part.
IF people don’t wake up soon it’s going to get way worse!!

A competition vehicle is also subject to all emission laws, completely. Law: as long as this engine was certified by a manufacturer at any time, it is subject to emissions laws. The only engine not subject to emissions laws is a custom machined block. That's the law. Trust me, I worked in compliance and emissions at a major manufacturer. I scrapped my Audi racecar, couldn't use it or sell it.

Yet 10 years ago he would swear up and down that the parts he sells or installs is the latest and greatest to get your $$, steer you towards a delete and tune package, input that Brand X is great and how great Y Brand exhaust sounds, and so-on.

He could very well go on front of a judge and jury stating all the reasons deletes, tunes and such are better but also say he will stop by the rules of law. The judge and jury aren't gonna censor him for his opinion.

Accepting that is no different than eliminating the FDA and stating we will use whatever standards Canada creates. There's no way that's constitutional. We have no way to elect officials in Canada or California. That's not how it works. Just like all EPA rulemaking is based on laws created by officials we choose by election. We cannot comment, dispute, or effect CARB regulations. it's a dictatorship for the other 49 States. Not lawful.

So the same guy lining his pockets with intact tuning is now screaming that once he was fined that it is just as good as not having an EGR and DPF in place when years ago he created a business on good tuning, removed egr and dpf because they were and still are more efficient, have less components able to fail and leave you stranded, and aren't recirculating oil and soot back into your intake making brownie batter throughout the intake system. Explain to me how these old issues are now suddenly alleviated with carb approved tuning?
Appears to be more of a sales pitch. It's unfortunate some of us are at the bended knee point to the over-reaching-government and have not found the solution to fight this or reach a compromise so we can all still enjoy some meaty diesel exhaust notes. This administration has shown its cards though, there never will be a compromise or a solution with this giant EV push, but that's a whole other topic...

Emissions tuning just wont take off. The whole point of tuning was to improve the drivability, economy, power of the trucks, nice tow tunes with better shifting.
Now your lucky to get 30 HP, no more fuel economy while likely overworking the already pitiful emissions equipment.
There is only so many idiots willing to buy a power pack for a 2020 that will leave emissions intact, which will lead to constant regens or failures. There is no play left unless your talking about a pure farm truck red dye and all, or legit race truck. and with both those cases your new tuning will not impact.
Feels like time would be better spent fighting back the government over-react, via elections etc.
Always thought the "more black smoke" crowd was going to cause a reaction.
