Screw the walkthrough that told me to trade for the machine gun and then later said, "If you chose to skip the machine you can now upgrade to the best weapon in the game."
I got to the second part of the boss fight of the final final boss and I'm too afraid to go ooonnnn each run takes around 15 minutes just to get to the boss
Misery did live since she told Balrog to get them and since she was in the credits. What was up with the Graveyard scene in the credits? I wish they would put some Save Points in the Sacred Ground and Last Cave since i keep dying in the Last Cave! Dx
This playthrough of Hell is actually comprised of multiple playthroughs spliced together--due to issues with footage being recorded. Looking back I'd have just played more to get a complete run, as this was quite lazy and confusing, but oh well lol.
My save is stuck with 35 Health, the Blade (didn't like the way the Nemesis felt), and no pots. This place is unbelievably hard, and not having any reliable source of healing is just absolute misery, no pun intended. I think I might just have to go all the way back through the game. :(
Davie Jones If you're playing the original version of Cave Story look through this page here www.cavestory.org/download/saves.php and download a save game, there should be one for you. There's also a tool to convert them to a Cave Story + compatible save if you're playing that version. Should save you from having to replay the entire game. :)
Now it's just a matter of getting the method down and seeing how fast you can do it. I beat this level in 3:26.11, but I haven't been able to do it any faster so far.
Ballos' story seems gross and inconsistent because the information presented to the player during level progression and information told by Ballos himself differ so drastically. Probably Pixel just wanted to present an "ultimate boss" out of nowhere like many other Japanese games do and wrote the story really hastily. Does no good to the general storytelling I have to say.
In my opinion, I really like how they wrote Ballos. In an earlier part of the game, if you have already initiated a possible best ending, the first passage appears in a dream. This builds a mysterious air to the character and the game's mystery. I also believe the disgusting nature of Ballos's backstory can be attributed to its inspiration, Greek and Roman mythology, which often tell grizzly tales of benevolent people falling from grace. Also, the stories told from the Narrator's and Ballos's perspectives are the same, just from exactly that; different perspectives. The Narrator focused more strictly on the deeds of the man and what caused them, while Ballos tells the story through a more emotional and retrospective standpoint. Ballos also seems to not know what he wants either, as he seems to be remorseful for his sins and wants his eternal power to end, while at the same time desiring that power and choosing to attempt to murder those who will end his suffering. This emphasises the unreliability and madness that he has gained from his torture, his atrocities, and his eternal life. I also believe that his story did contribute to the plot as a whole, as it explains the origins of everything that happened on the island. It explains why the island exists, why there is magic in a presumably post-modern era, and why the helmet exists. It makes the entire plot feel more connected and explained, rather then just being "And there are now witches just because." However, this was just my two cents about this. Thank you for your points, it's an interesting opinion!
My lost memory of this game has finally been stitched back together by this playthrough :)

More famous
hell no! if it got as famous as that, then we have to deal with more cancerous fans!

How many tries did this take you in reality? There had to be other deaths that you cut out, right?

Thanks for the walkthrough! Great game
FireVasilisk No problem. :)
I just want to know whats mozgus doing here?? Guts already killed him.
Just looked at your profile pic. I always thought they looked suspiciously similar.
Ballos reminds me heavily of Father Mozgus from Berserk...
This game is to hard at the end
True about the 3rd one.
do you have to change the statchues, or is it just something cool you can choose to do?
+Bugman It's optional, I always do it for the EXP and hearts.
ok cool.

Me when I have a migraine:
How did you get 2 life bottles?
Pots*
he spliced clips of different runs, if you look closely when he enters the seal chamber his time changes and so does his HP
Wait never mind, I saw the annotation
I was hoping to get a second life pot from Hajime but I geuss that would be cheap
Can you go into the plantation after defeating the heavy press?
No the door stays locked
This is due to reasons that i am to young to understand
@@Fenyx_Birbdo you understand now?
He is nice gamer
how to end the credits
It's possible "win" with the sword and not whit the nemesis?
Yeah, you can beat the game with the Blade instead. I just find it easier with the Nemesis.
The nemisis just gives better range and faster bullet speed but isn't the strongest weapon
It's the spur
is it possible to get the best ending on free version or is it plus only?
Naw, it's possible on the free version as well.
This game reminds me of Celeste and undertale.
you are beast man game on
this dude seems to have hacked in a second life pot.
nvm he just spliced clips
