@Pokeli Yea, Rose's theme is amazing. Can you do Leon's theme next or the Gym Leader Final Pokemon (Tourney Edition) next. If you don't know what the Gym Leader Final Pokemon (Tourney Edition) is its on Tapu's channel. They have a timestamp in the comments for it.
From a story perspective, that's the one thing I don't like about Chairman Rose. If he thought awakening Eternatus was such a good idea, why not insist that "everything's under control" to keep the large crowd from panicking? It would seem less like political kamikaze that way.
The way he adjusts his tie and gives an unamused stare, looks down at the Ultra Ball in his grasp, and *especially* the variety of expressions in his face as he finally tosses it. Combined with this battle theme, I think it's clear there was suppose to be so much more to Rose's character. Had this been explored, Rose could have been such a bad ass villain.
I see someone noticed that as well. That look he gave when he finally threw his pokeball was a intimidating. That's when I finally let Flareon be useful.
Their handling of his plot was so disappointing. Plus his motivation was pretty unconvincing. "There will be a power shortage in 1000 years!" Me: *laughs in IRL impending climate apocalypse due to current energy and pollution handling*
There’s significance to his team’s typing, and to that extent Macro Cosmos. They all use primarily steel types. Eternatus is a *poison* dragon type. Steel being immune to poison, clearly the purpose of Macro Cosmos is simply to control the beast, and bring power to the region.
@@leonardofarias8843 how is he not the villain? I would love if the reason Rose started the Darkest Day was because he was horribly sleep deprived and it just seemed like a good idea at the time. See Sword Art Online Abridged.
This needs more likes damn it because that does feel like how rose would be. Running on coffee fumes, 5-hours, and a racing mind that is constantly calculating the numbers, the possibilities, overly focused on the problems when something crops up not in his favor and tries to deal with it asap. It'd be interesting if rose had undiagnosed ADHD with OCD tendacies. But due to how smart he is and how much his measures usually help, no one would openly question it. But long term sleep deprivation can do it's damage too and mimic some disorders.
More like Bill Gates interrupting the Champions League final to say he's starting the armageddon. The Champions League final is a way bigger game, you see. In the modern games, certain types of pokeballs are used to either represent the trainer's Pokémon or their skill. That's why Gym Leaders use Ultra Balls and Ace Trainers use Great Balls. Rose's theme is dark, intense, and sounds like you're fighting the embodiment of pure evil. However, you're only fighting a man who was misguided in his attempts to prevent a crisis far into the future, and who's own hubris and impatience got the better of him, accidentally almost dooming Galar. Then Peony's theme is just jazz.
In pokemon Journey's they do a way better job of showing his unhinged side as im going to call it . Which I appreciate because when I got to this part in the game I was like. Seriously ?!? Just now your gonna be the villain .
I feel like Rose has the makings of a really great antagonist. Even at his worst, he's not evil; he's a neurotic futurist who devoted his life to Galar's greatness. He believes he is the savior of the region, the only person, now or ever, who can prevent calamity, and he's willing to do anything, even if it means some people get hurt, to make sure the future is bright. It's too bad he just barely shows up in the games before the climax and disappears entirely after his battle.
What are you talking about? Someone can be evil while being well intentioned. He’s a megalomaniacal billionaire whose god/ savior complex led him to view the very real people he interacted with as “disposable” for his perceived greater good. He’s Lysandre, but lying to himself about it.
fun fact his league card literally says that he is crazy Do you know how to solve this lack of not being in the game? Make that card the first you get and make a tutorial to see it How hard was that
A friendly reminder that Eternatus has Flamethrower in it's base moveset. This dude was gonna get his salad tossed regardless of what your giant rabbit had to say.
"Leon, surely you must understand why your assistance is needed, yes? Please, do it for the future of Galar" "Bro I'm sorry but this wasn't in the job description"
i love rose's calm demeanor. he isnt over the top like ghetsis or maxie/archie. he always stays calm. thats what i like about him. this also makes him seem kinda unpredictable at times.
I remember when he lost, Rose was just like "Ok this trainer is definitely is going to be on my case if I continue this, so I'm just going to give up and get back to my company.. Minus Eternatus"
It almost feels like they had an entire story planned with this character and they scrapped most of it but kept the epic conclusion that it all had built to.
Apparently in the anime, Rose grew up in a time where Galar's energy was constantly at risk and undetectable, so his father had to work in the mines yo salvage that power. His father died in one of those mines, along with many others when it collapsed.
The fact that people are hearing the mondegreen “Go Rose, save everyone” may not be a coincidence. It highlights his belief that bringing on The Darkest Day will save the Galar region, when in reality it’s saying “Rose’s thorned creed” in Latin, since his plan is flawed and likely to not go well. In short: Rose is misguided by the voices, thinking they’re telling him to go forth with his plan when in reality they’re warning him, trying to dissuade him.
You are probably very right. It was how Rose was like in the games. He kept quiet with his plans at first but he wouldn't take no as an answer. Especially with Leon. All of his followers did believe in him but when it went through (and even before at times) even his followers including Oleinia or however you spell it wanted him to stop. But he still thought he had their backing cause he was driven with power until you beat him. That's when he felt like a trainer again and realised the words everyone was saying to him.
The lyrics are Latin. "Rosa Seda Credo." Roughly translated, it means, "The thorned rose's beliefs." Another interpretation is "Rose's thorned creed." Both are quite valid.
That's a mondegreen. It's Latin. I sent my linguistics professor from university the link to this video. She could clearly make out intelligible Latin, and gave those two interpretations.
I love how every other theme in this game is like “Woo-hoo! let’s have some nice, fun, pokémon battles!” And this theme is *DEAR LORD IT’S THE END OF THE WORLD*
Agreed. He wasn't doing evil deeds he really believed he was doing what was best for the region. He didn't awaken Eternatus to start the end of the world he awakened it then realised he couldn't control it like he thought. Once Eternatus was awakened it was acting in its own and when we defeated it rose turned himself in peacefully.
@@katonnor Not just he wasn't doing evil things, he belived he was doing the right thing. He was trying to help Galar with a fucked up plan which of course backfired. But he is a good man.
He’s more of a sympathetic villain. The reason why he wants to awaken Eternatus is understandable- he wants to prevent an energy crisis. Although the crisis is 100 years away and at a time where Rose is going to be long gone, he feels as if the Galar region rests on his shoulders. After all, what’s stopping the crisis from happening when he’s still alive and still the chairman? It would be *his* fault if Galar is left without power! However, how he goes about preventing that crisis is inherently wrong.
A comment I once saw pointed out something interesting about this song. The chorus keeps chanting “Rosa seta credo” over and over which roughly translates to “Roses thorned belief”. However if you listen to it, you could almost mistake it for “Go rose, save everyone”. Which Is a neat detail, reinforcing the fact Rose is under the false impression that this is what will save Galar from energy shortage, even though thats far from what will happen. While we hear “Roses thorned belief”, he hears people cheering for him, “Go rose, save everyone”.
@Diotato Brandomato in the context of the story he is the "villain" but it doesn't seem very believable. if he was the leader of team yell and the "I must start the darkest day for galar's future" didn't come out of nowhere he might have been an actually good character. but nope, game freak is done with actually evil evil teams and now just they are somewhat likable goons/roadblocks and instead for the villain we have an obvious twist villain in the last 10 minutes of the game
@@Bird_in_a_Trenchcoat I mean they intentionally literred the game with red flags, with his passionate talks about the future and all the shit bede did as his sponsored contender (which he probably orchestrated and just punished bede for getting caught). This is probably the most intimidating main antagonist battle theme since Ghetsis's from Black and white, which feels a bit weird because Rose is significantly more benevolent than Ghetsis was (but then again it's really easy to be more benevolent than Ghetsis was)
Maybe that benevolent look makes him more evil, he think he is right, he think he is the hero, and when someone makes bad things Unaware of them is really scary

I personally believe that the theme is the way it is because of how dire the situation is. Rose stands between you and Eternatus. You have to get past him in order to stop the Darkest Day.
Here's how I would've had Rose say to Leon. "Wait until after tomorrow's championship battle, Leon? Before you say another word, here's something you should know about me. I hate that mentality. You say "It's a thousand years away. We can do it after tomorrow's battle. Later. Later. Later." We'll keep telling ourselves that. "Tomorrow." We'll put it off until tomorrow for a thousand years until there are no tomorrows left. Humans are creatures of habit. I am no different. I have a morning routine that I stick to every morning. If something disrupts this routine I may spill something on my clothes, burn my breakfast, style my hair wrong, or even arrive late for work, all of which are bad for my mental health and negatively affect the way the public and my business partners perceive me. I also have business habits. The way I speak at a meeting between me and the other chairmen is practiced and professional. When I get fan mail or calls to my office, my responses are chiefly stock and seldom vary from person to person. It is all automatic and when I have to change the way I speak for a particular client I have trouble figuring out what to say. In other words, I have trouble diverging from my habits. If I let you wait until after tomorrow's game you'll get into bad habits. "I'm sorry, Chairman. I've been replaced as Champion. Can we give it a few days until the new Champ knows what they're doing?" "Rose, Sonia asked me out for a date. Can we wait until after that date?" "Chairman, Hop's sleeping. Can we wait until tomorrow, when he wakes up?" Leon, the new champion is less important than Galar's future. You and Sonia have had many missed opportunities to go on dates. Hop can sleep as soon as the Darkest Day is over. But I can finally secure the future of Galar, and I cannot wait. I can contain Eternatus. The Darkest Day will not harm Galar as it did so long ago. I may be a creature of habit, but I have a habit of doing things that must be done right then and there, and I would prefer to do this as soon as possible. But you are the Champion, so I will give you this one tomorrow. I do hope you will rise to the occasion and fulfill your responsibilities.
Despite Rose being such an easy battle, I absolutely love his fight. The reason is because when the battle starts, the way he looks at his pokemon shows that he knows he is going to lose this fight, as he stated multiple times during the battle. However, despite these circumstances, he's stays determined and keeps fighting as shown by how he throws the pokeball at the beginning of his battle. He really cares for his pokemon and loves them. It's such a powerful little detail that I love about this battle, and I hope Gamefreak does more stuff like it.
He was actually pretty difficult without a good fire or ground type. Its funny that without type advantages, things can go south fast, they should nerf supereffective moves to make the games more difficult.
@@ashy3604 Or just give end bosses a more varied team. Mono type teams are usually pathetically easy to beat for a reason. Cynthia is one of the hardest and most memorable battles because of her actually good Pokemon with good IVs and most importantly her team balance. Having a whole team of Steel types, which aren't even that good, is asking for an easy boss fight. Which is why people like Oleana's fight better, because she's not mono type.
I really like the hesitation right before he throws out his Pokemon. As if he's doubting his decision, having to fight a small child for the sake of his dreams, unsure of whether or not he's even making a good choice, but rather the choice he deems most beneficial for Galar. It's stuff like that that makes me like him so much.
That doesn't make any sense, his battle against you was purely malicious. He called you to the power plant for no other reason than to trap you while Eternatus was destroying Galar. If he actually needed your help he wouldn't have battled you. His goal was to stop you from helping Leon contain Eternatus, he directly says that in his dialogue before the battle.
@@machina5 I'm aware of it, but the look on his face makes it look like he does indeed regret how this has to end, at least in his mind. I mean, he did seem to at least be regretful that he ruined the gym challenge for you while enacting his plan.
It's quite an interesting detail how he looks at the pokeball in his hand at the start, as if questioning himself for a moment before steeling his resolve to see it through to the end.
I'm gonna put this here because I have no idea where else to put it but I need to share it with the world: I had a dream last night that Rose's entire backstory for why he did all the stuff that he did was because he found out that a tomato was a fruit and felt like his whole life was a lie
Oh is that so? The Qataris are quite late to that as air can be converted into electricity within the right temperatures! I might need to make some trademarks soon..... Filthy rich dog leadership!
That small animation in the beginning, it's so simple but that single action gives him so much personality. He just needed more moments like this and a bigger presence in the story and I think he'd be a great villain.
What I personally loved about Rose is that he genuinely thinks he's a hero. He's a man with a saviour complex that believes nobody but him can, or ever could, keep Galar safe. He subconsciously thinks of himself as stronger than the force of nature he tries to control, and pays the ultimate price.
Exactly, his personality is just what I would expect from a person who is largely responsible for Galar being the technologically advanced nation that it is. He believes that," If there is something that can be done for the good of the people ,then you should not hesitate to do it,even if it means being shunned by the rest of the world ." I find it silly that people always joke about," why couldn't he just wait a few days?? " because if Rose could have heard what they were saying (which he probably did , sitting in a Galar Prison cell reading the daily newspaper) he would have probably laughed .
Sad thing is, his story is good, and he has good reasons. They just mishandled it so poorly. Like, here's 3 small things that would fix it. 1: set up a few cutscenes detailing Rose struggling to, and failing to, find new energy sources. A good way to convey motivation. 2: discover a lab run by macro cosmos where we learn about the Darkest Day, and how they're trying to use it to create power. 3: when we rush to stop Rose, fight him BEFORE Eternatus wakes up. You want to stop him, but the Dynamax energy your fight created wakes the boy up. Leon jumps in to stop it, with Rose acting chill. "Don't worry. The Undefeated Champion of Galar can do it, easy." And when Leon loses, THATS when Rose begins to worry/panic. "Wait... no, Leon cannot lose..! We're doomed..." and bam, you and Hop step in to save the day. Easy fix. -_-
I think that not fighting eternatus before he awaken is for a reason tho. Tbh I feel that these is a reason to it for it all except for the lab (that would be nice like in usum) l. I feel like the point was to convey like it has throughout the story that the adults keep trying to resolve the situation, that they are doing good and fighting eternatus later is the result of, like when the random Pokémon was dynamaxing, the adults trying to keep the children out of it and failing. Unlike other Pokémon games you never go after macro cosmos because of Leon and Sonia trying to do it first so there would be no warning of eternatus because of their stubbornness. I feel like that is the plot of the overall story
Man this game had really good story potential and set up so many interesting things that just get glossed by and rushed by in the finale. They should have shown Rose trying to talk with Leon and getting ignored more, Leon not giving a care about the energy crisis and being so carefree to the point of ignoring Rose could have made his rash actions a bit more justified, by Leon coming off entirely as if he didn't care. Would have been a good way to point out how Leon's carelessness/not paying attention actually gives him faults and makes him a more rounded character too. Man I loved this cast, I wouldn't be mad if they pull a USUM to fix it (hopefully with an upgrade from base game discount this time around plz)
Point two reminds me of the Ultra beasts and Type: Null. Sun and moon executed that one perfectly and its a really good guess you mentioned it. That seriously would turn this battle even more intense.
Lysandre: The world will continue to turn ugly if humans and Pokémon exist. *Creates Deathstar* Rose: Eventually we will be on the brink of an energy crisis 400 years from now. *Summons Cthulu*

Bastiodon isn’t in the game. He can’t have Stakataka. Empoleon isn’t in the game. He really can’t have any step type that isn’t weak to fire, except Duraludon, and I think they wanted Raihan to have that one.
(I’m glad some people like my headcanon! I’ll keep it up here for now :D) Given of how Rose’s team is made up of a ton of Unova pokemon, I personally headcanon that he came from Unova itself before going through to to Galar. In my eyes, his paranoia may have come from BW2, when Plasma was literally using science and harnessing kyreum to freeze Opeluid city, which, in any other person except the player, must have been terrifying. Seeing how a legendary can destroy a town easily, somehow Rose came up with this sort of....hero complex to save everyone from the future, before eventually turning to Eternatus to attempt to save everyone. Overall, Rose is a nice man, just kinda misplaced and misguided. It’s just a headcanon though so!! Who knows kdkdkd
What’s really interesting about your theory is that Unova and Galar have a history of being rivals. Maybe this is Rose’s way of one-upping his past life in Unova to demonstrate how he’s grown.
This is a hard one to work out. According to the league cards ,Rose was once a runner-up in the Galar Championship League as a young up and coming trainer himself. So the idea that he was once a resident of Unova seems unlikely. I've always felt that the reason he felt it was ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to begin the darkest day as soon as possible was because as the chairman, all of the residents of Galar rely on him one way or another and let's be honest ,at some point after receiving praise day after day about how wonderful of a Chairman you are , you're gonna feel like it's your personal responsibility to the people to take care of any problems that may arise. Why couldn't he wait a couple of days to summon Eternatus?? Because that would would go against his moral ethics which is,"If something needs to be done for the good of the people, then you should waste no time in doing it,even if it means being shunned by the rest of the world." This is why when you defeat him he's not mad at all ,he just claps for you,as if he was applauding a little child who is very happy about achieving something small ,when he ,the adult ,has bigger things to accomplish.

To me, the best parts of both the music and the fight steal the show. The music is haunting and ominous, but also has a tinge of sorrow. Rose IS a good man trying to do the right thing; his plan is just misguided. The beginning animation too is brilliant. The only time he shows that he himself really doesnt wanna do it. He appears sad. Wondering if it will all be worth. Then he clutches the ultra ball and begins the fight. Truly brilliant
Regieleki dex entry: "Its entire body is made up of an single organ that generates electrical energy. Regieleki is capable of creating all of Galar's electricity". Rose: Well, poop
Sword and Shield's story would have been a lot more relatable if the energy crisis was arriving in 10 years or even 100 years instead of 1,000. Because then Rose's reaction makes a lot of sense. Yes, you can delay it one more day, but how many times are we just going to delay it "one more day" and act like everything's okay when there's an emergency approaching? It would be much more comparable to the real world existential horror that global warming brings. But instead it's 1000 years in the future so Rose's urgency seems bizarre and very divorced from the real world example that probably influenced Gamefreak.
Yeah with 10 years people who arent advocating for doing something about it rn feel unreasonable. But I feel like with 1000 years rose felt that if he doesnt do something about it no one will so in his eyes its urgent without the greater context. A 100 would still be very urgent and Rose's feeling of him doing something or noone would make more sense to me
@@plowo3021 With 10 years, let's say that Rose used his influence as the Region's chairman to hide this fact from citizens of the Galar region so that nobody has to worry about anything at all. Kept secret between Himself, His entire research facility, and the Current Champion. Sure it would sound unbelievable but it would turn out to be a good plot twist for the entire "I have to do something to save this town" story arc Rose had. The reveal could use buildups like overhearing Oleanna or Rose talking on his phone, or random blackouts happening in the city (something that wouldn't work if the event was to happen 1000 years in the future since it means that there's is still little to no effect happening in Galar as of now), or even those Dynamax pokemons suddenly going rampage on the open areas for a story battle scene.
Exactly. Plus if it was 10 years, it would imply Galar was actually doing something wrong by using too much energy. I mean, what, is Galar just going to forget to fix the energy crisis for 365,000 days straight? It would at least make a little more sense if Rose was the only one who knew how to cause the Darkest Day, or if he made a point of not putting it off just because it would shut down society for a while because it would have to happen sooner or later.
I've met way more difficult Steel specialists than this guy. Don't diss all Steel specialists because this guy was dumb. And even on the only team of his anyone thinks of half aren't Steel at all... Ironically he's arguably the most difficult Steel specialist)
Personally I was livid when he said this. Like no bro, I EARNED it. You’ve been sitting behind a desk, I’ve been out in the wilds battling for my life.
Like I don't think people necessarily saw gameplay and were like "he's evil" but like... In ANY form of media has there ever been a CHAIRMAN who's been a good person?
The only reason I found him possibly evil was his position and the fact he basically owns everything in the region. Like, if something were going to affect Galar on a massive scale, it would be through the person who has control over everything. So it was down to him and Oleana, a possible control from the shadows.
After seeing Rose again, he's actually an interesting antagonist, when ironically, he's not even an antagonist. I'd say his goals are a mix of Archie/Maxie and Lysandre. He's actually a good guy, and have good intentions. If you take his plan, which is 'having an unlimited source of energy' at face value, what's wrong with that? What's bad about it? Isn't that beneficial for everyone? Rose is just frustrated that no one supports his goal, even Oleana arguably only helps because he's her boss and because she owes him. That made him act, perhaps rashly, and that might've costed him Eternatus escaping. Also, consider his battle intro when he clenches his pokeball with a solemn look. The way I interpret that, it seems that he doesn't want to battle you. It's like his cry of 'Please understand!' to you, someone who he respects, and knows to be powerful. Heck, he applauds you when he loses.
He is really hesitant to fight you, if I remember if you idle during the battle, the camera zoom at him and with a doubt in his face. Also during Gigantamax scene as he throws the Gmx ball, at a second, you can see his smile changed into a frown
I mean, everybody saw the player destroy every gym leaders on live tv, and you're about to battle against the champion in the Finals. Of course he is reluctant to fight you, he knows you are a powerful trainer.
That's right, I got the Archie and Maxie vibe from him. Less lysandre cause he wanted to help the world by destroying everything but more Lusamine in USUM where she wanted to stop Necrozma but she was still horrible to how she would do things. He wanted to help, but he couldn't get people to see it his way. He's a kind man that cares, but couldn't stop caring. Because of this, he didn't want to see the bad that could change his plans. The good thing as a player, you beat him showing you care to help him understand. In a way from my long message, you don't just save the world with Hop (twice so far) you helped Rose remember being a trainer and helping him understand even if it is too late.
Like I always say Villains don't have to be that evil. There are certain types of villains 1. The one who wants to take over the world. 2. The one who wants power. 3. The insane one who desperately wants to help people by doing something that would probably harm people. 4. Anti-Villains.
I mean the Team Star weren't the real villains despite being a "Team" much like Team Yell in SwSh If you compare Rose with Professor Sada/Turo More or less they were Technically Villains but had good intentions

They could’ve done so much with the “good intentions, bad actions” villain trope. I didn’t think Chairman Rose was executed poorly but given how I see him in the twilight wings series and in game, they could’ve built a much stronger character. On another note, I do think it was really good to finally get fresh air from an evil villain group in the game (team yell isn’t a villain team it’s just a bunch of groupies which actually fits the uk so well). Also note. The motivations of Chairman Rose to summon the darkest day to save Galar’s future was actually a really cool plot. I feel like they should’ve exercised that a lot more. Show the pokémon that are randomly dymaxning in the cities and power outages all over Galar from what rose was is doing. Ultimately that creates the idea what Rose is currently doing is what he envisioned Galar in the future.
Rose is kinda like Lysander, albeit Rose is MUCH more sympathetic and likable. They both have the same storytelling problem where they're concerned about a resource crisis that doesn't actually seem to exist in the Pokemon world. It makes them both look really stupid even though they're supposed to be intelligent visionaries.
The thing is, the blackout he expectis is going to happen 1000 years in the future. If it was to happen sooner, than his whole motivation would seem more valid since it's near and he's the only one everyone can rely on as of that time. "It hasn't happened yet but it will." His whole story could be so much better if the he had more screentime/development throughout the game instead of encountering Team Yell simping over Marnie every step you take. Imagine going to take on one of the Galar Gym Leaders and then suddenly overhearing about Rose's plan in the background when you're preparing to enter the stadium. Could be Rose himself speaking over his cellphone or some of his workers who were around the area to watch is talking to each other.
The lyrics are saying « Go Rose Save Everyone ». Fun Fact EDIT/ it also may says : « Save your/the kingdom » or « Rosa seta credo », maybe it’s a mix between all of these lyrics
Some other Pokemon antagonists that mean well, have an idiotic side to their master plans, like Aqua and Magma not expecting what they unleashed, or Flare's idea of chosen ones being those who can shell out a million or whatever Pokedollars. But man, this takes the cake. If he waited a couple of days it would have been fine and Leon and player would have been cooperative. But no, he had to interrupt the fight that everyone in the region was waiting for, making him look like some lunatic villain to everyone instead of just being someone that means well.
Ollie Haze it’s almost like they wrote the story for the game and realized halfway through they didn’t have an actual villain and had to ret-con one in... lazy as fuck writing
@@HS-mn6jc You know what's lazy? They took so many elements from the villainous teams of Sun/Moon. They already copied the fake out black-themed team turning to be just some lowly troublemakers. They copied the team leaders and their dislike of the generation's gimmick. But they also had to copy that this leader of the benevolent organization turning out to be some crazed lunatic, and the final villainous boss.
@@kentsalcedo2524 Ok, I will try to explain, in the first I didn't understood so onto the next one. The dislike of piers of the mechanic was because there wasn't the thing that allowed dynamax and I think he eventually prefered battling like that, and the last point, he isn't a lunatic, he just wanted the best for his region, but ended up almost destroying the region.
Just the thought of full grown adults with goals that can literally end the world by awakening some kind of legendary creature and then get beaten by a 10-14 year old in a Pokemon battle. Bruh.
I mean, his team was built solely to counter the thing he released upon the world. He just wasn't prepared to fight it like he had hoped. But he did have the best intentions at heart. He just went about it wrong.
Thats actually something that kinda irked me about these games is how Rose is the first 'main villain' of the games to not really feel like a villain. Guzma is a red herring for Lusamine who was actually twisted and Ghetsis had a whole front with his organization to make themselves appear to be do gooders, but Rose just didn't actually feel evil. His intentions were good, just went about a twisted way of doing them yet at the same time came prepared to defeat what he had unleashed upon the world which tells me he didn't plan on doing anyone any harm, especially considering how much he cares for the Galar region and it's people
Really the only sort of bad thing that I can think of is the manipulation of Bede, but that's really it. It seems that his final intention was good. He wanted to give Galar an endless stream of energy to keep his beloved nation alive forever, but he got too cocky and underestimated Eternatus which gives him the bad rep in the end. I hope to see more lore on him.

Can we give it a few days until the new Champ knows what they're doing?"
"Rose, Sonia asked me out for a date. Can we wait until after that date?"
"Chairman, Hop's sleeping. Can we wait until tomorrow, when he wakes up?"
Leon, the new champion is less important than Galar's future.
This deserves way more likes,I liked this

That's top shelf dialogue.

It look like handsome Jack
Exactly, his personality is just what I would expect from a person who is largely responsible for Galar being the technologically advanced nation that it is.
He believes that," If there is something that can be done for the good of the people ,then you should not hesitate to do it,even if it means being shunned by the rest of the world ."
I find it silly that people always joke about," why couldn't he just wait a few days??
If it were that easy of a fix then the multi billion dollar corporation would have done it.
@@aquaarmour4924 It is though, but they're just lazy. They could've just replaced the whole elevator with a little lab at least
Point two reminds me of the Ultra beasts and Type: Null. Sun and moon executed that one perfectly and its a really good guess you mentioned it. That seriously would turn this battle even more intense.
Lysandre: The world will continue to turn ugly if humans and Pokémon exist. *Creates Deathstar*
Rose: Eventually we will be on the brink of an energy crisis 400 years from now.
*Summons Cthulu*
Not even 400 years, it wouldn't be until another 1000 years!
Now that you mention it, a cosmic horror or lovecraftian inspired Pokémon (probably a legendary) would sound pretty dope

Given of how Rose’s team is made up of a ton of Unova pokemon, I personally headcanon that he came from Unova itself before going through to to Galar.
_Headcannon accepted_
Looks like he didn't _delete this 'later'_
Edit: Ey nice he didnt :D

Lol, even in the real world the energy crisis could happen before 1000 years, and more so this is a game.
Rose has anxiety confirmed
This is the most epic music for a man who's entire team was flammable and one of the starters in every game is made of fire.
Rose: "You're tough. Yes, entirely too tough. Don't you think that's unfair?"
Me: "Well, I'm not the one who made my entire team out of steel types."
Rose: But I’m Steel type specialist
the battle was so hard for me because i had all fairies but my cinderace backed me up gladly
I've met way more difficult Steel specialists than this guy. Don't diss all Steel specialists because this guy was dumb. (One of them is less of a Steel specialist and more like the Lance of Steel specialists. He's even worse than Lance, considering that he's actually overall used more non-Steel pokemon than Steel Pokemon, just not all on one team. And even on the only team of his anyone thinks of half aren't Steel at all... Ironically he's arguably the most difficult Steel specialist)
@@artisiole325 and what did we learn? ALWAYS have a type diverse team unless it’s a challenge for a video.
Captain Treeko does Filthy Rich from MLP count?
The only reason I found him possibly evil was his position and the fact he basically owns everything in the region. Like, if something were going to affect Galar on a massive scale, it would be through the person who has control over everything. So it was down to him and Oleana, a possible control from the shadows.
If I've learned anything from p5
BIG NAMES ARE NOT TO BW TRUSTED
As a WWE fan, I can agree (Vince McMahon)
No.
*Laughs in Bana*
Damn that made me feel bad for him even gosh I love this game 😆
There are certain types of villains
1. The one who wants to take over the world.
2. The one who wants power.
3. The insane one who desperately wants to help people by doing something that would probably harm people.
4. Anti-Villains.
Arguably has the most evil theme.
Arguably the least evil villain.
fr
I mean the Team Star weren't the real villains despite being a "Team" much like Team Yell in SwSh
If you compare Rose with Professor Sada/Turo
More or less they were Technically Villains but had good intentions
“Least evil villain”

The fact that his copperjah is the same pokemon he had in the intro shows loyalty
The lyrics are saying « Go Rose Save Everyone ».
Fun Fact
EDIT/ it also may says : « Save your/the kingdom » or « Rosa seta credo », maybe it’s a mix between all of these lyrics
WHAT THE HELL
*Great!*

GodOfScorpius HOHO SATAN REPLY
That’s actually weird. I don’t like it
I low-key thought it was saying: Deus Santa requiem
(god of holy death or something)
But they also had to copy that this
leader of the benevolent organization turning out to be some crazed lunatic, and the final villainous boss.
Bruh.
@@SantiagoCR17 and that why its a terrible plot
Is this guy even evil? It seemed like he was just doubling down on a mistake he made
Nah, looks like an anti-villian for me.
I mean, his team was built solely to counter the thing he released upon the world. He just wasn't prepared to fight it like he had hoped. But he did have the best intentions at heart. He just went about it wrong.
Leftists in a nutshell
Its hilarious how fighting a business man who's slightly misguided sounds like Satan himself has come to claim your soul. It cracks me lmao
