- This play when you are challenging Chairman Rose in Pokémon Sword and Shield.
To check out their battle, just click on the video cards ("!")
---
Main goal of these video concept ideas:
My main goal for these kind of videos is to be as creative as possible!
Let me explain:
- Firstly, my very first channel Mixeli (But also my latest one Volipok) post tons of Gameplays from Every Generation (Which once again was played and recorded by myself in it's entirety. It took me many years of works.)
My video have Educational Value and let me explain why: It does provide help to the user who watch the video. One of the few example for that is which musics is played from my gameplays. It could easily be found on video cards (The exclamation mark "!" you see on the video above at the right) and vice versa. (This mean that on this video for example, you could also find my actual battle gameplays of where this music is played)
- Secondly, My video are transformative enough, I took the time to play the game and recording the musics. I took the time to improve it's original quality using Vegas Pro. Thanks to a program called "Track EQ" that you can find on Vegas Pro.
This program allow the user to enhance it's original quality and further improving it. This need concentration as each version has different audio quality.
- Thirdly and as you have noticed: On each Generation, I use different background that I bought on a website called Shutterstock. (Which I have bought at least 336 pictures background, just so I can become as creative as possible and also work on a lot of different style using those background)
This kind of concept was created by myself since 2011. Today it has become one of the main concept of my channel that I personally created.
- Lastly is to bring the community together. I have noticed that so many people are commenting and giving their opinions on the video, sharing their experience about characters from the game, confirming theory, saying funny stuff and I find this extremely amazing and interesting! I don't want their comment to be unnoticed so I have plan for the future of my content about commenting and sharing their experience on videos that I will produce one day!
I think I explained everything now. Enjoy and have a great day!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All musics, gameplay and content included within this video are transformative, creative, have educational value and this recording are from my own gameplay. I'm also the one that created that concept video ideas. No copyright infringement is intended.

Woddles I agree honestly, tho I enjoyed the games, it would’ve felt more urgent if the the disaster would be in 10 years. Or heck even a 100 since he probably wouldn’t be around to “save the day” ,But 1000 is just too far out to give urgency imo
I feel like Rose has the makings of a really great antagonist. Even at his worst, he's not evil; he's a neurotic futurist who devoted his life to Galar's greatness. He believes he is the savior of the region, the only person, now or ever, who can prevent calamity, and he's willing to do anything, even if it means some people get hurt, to make sure the future is bright.
It's too bad he just barely shows up in the games before the climax and disappears entirely after his battle.
And he somehow is still doing a better job than Boris Johnson is with the British energy crisis.
He turned himself in. He recognized what he did and decided to reap what he had sown.
Yup he is very evil and yet he is very good
What are you talking about? Someone can be evil while being well intentioned. He’s a megalomaniacal billionaire whose god/ savior complex led him to view the very real people he interacted with as “disposable” for his perceived greater good. He’s Lysandre, but lying to himself about it.

Imagine being this guy level of rich and not using luxury balls
In the modern games, certain types of pokeballs are used to either represent the trainer's Pokémon or their skill. That's why Gym Leaders use Ultra Balls and Ace Trainers use Great Balls. Rose, while rich, is also a high level trainer. Therefore, he uses Ultra Balls.

The surprise wasn’t that he was the villain, it was that he’d have an evil choir in his battle theme.
But he isn't the villain
@@leonardofarias8843 how is he not the villain? He literally tried to start an Armageddon to harvest it as a power source to stop an energy crisis he wouldn't even witness since it would happen 1,000 years in the future. You might be able to sympathize with him, but you can also sympathize with half the other pokémon villain team leaders, and they were villains.
He's not villainous is what the guy is trying to say.
@@derekstapleton3396 The dialogue suggests that Eternatus was going to show up again eventually
@@leonardofarias8843 he is have you played the game? Lemme tell you: he used bede to gather the wishing stars to give to Eternatus which would be Illegal to own if you don't have the professor's permission and if your not on the league challenge. And in some point in the game rose disqualified bede because he used Copperajah to destroy a traditional miral (revealing Zacian and Zamazenta statue). The reason why he disqualified bede because rose told him one simple thing not to get caught. Since your Player and Sonia where witnesses rose wants no witnesses. So rose thought that bede wasn't worthy of this task. He's like Ghetsis fostering a kid and teaching him bad things. So rose be like, "you see these, these are wishing stars. If you find these bring them to me"
A comment I once saw pointed out something interesting about this song. The chorus keeps chanting “Rosa seta credo” over and over which roughly translates to “Roses thorned belief”. However if you listen to it, you could almost mistake it for “Go rose, save everyone”. Which Is a neat detail, reinforcing the fact Rose is under the false impression that this is what will save Galar from energy shortage, even though thats far from what will happen. While we hear “Roses thorned belief”, he hears people cheering for him, “Go rose, save everyone”.

Despite Rose being such an easy battle, I absolutely love his fight. The reason is because when the battle starts, the way he looks at his pokemon shows that he knows he is going to lose this fight, as he stated multiple times during the battle. However, despite these circumstances, he's stays determined and keeps fighting as shown by how he throws the pokeball at the beginning of his battle. He really cares for his pokemon and loves them. It's such a powerful little detail that I love about this battle, and I hope Gamefreak does more stuff like it.
He was actually pretty difficult without a good fire or ground type. Its funny that without type advantages, things can go south fast, they should nerf supereffective moves to make the games more difficult.
I had a hard time because most of my team was weak to steel
@@ashy3604 making stuff weaker sucks
@@ashy3604 or buff the Pokemon...
@@ashy3604 Or just give end bosses a more varied team. Mono type teams are usually pathetically easy to beat for a reason. Cynthia is one of the hardest and most memorable battles because of her actually good Pokemon with good IVs and most importantly her team balance. Having a whole team of Steel types, which aren't even that good, is asking for an easy boss fight. Which is why people like Oleana's fight better, because she's not mono type.
The way he adjusts his tie and gives an unamused stare, looks down at the Ultra Ball in his grasp, and *especially* the variety of expressions in his face as he finally tosses it. Combined with this battle theme, I think it's clear there was suppose to be so much more to Rose's character. Had this been explored, Rose could have been such a bad ass villain.
I see someone noticed that as well. That look he gave when he finally threw his pokeball was a intimidating. That's when I finally let Flareon be useful.
I guess the “evil business man” trope works well, but his haircut, earring, and beer belly make me not take him too seriously as a villain

There’s significance to his team’s typing, and to that extent Macro Cosmos. They all use primarily steel types. Eternatus is a *poison* dragon type. Steel being immune to poison, clearly the purpose of Macro Cosmos is simply to control the beast, and bring power to the region.

I feel like it's a moment of deep regret that it's come to this and why don't people just listen.
Probably THE most underrated battle theme in all of Pokémon. I absolutely love the choir singing, (but that’s just an aspect that makes any song amazing) it just makes this song sound so threatening, like this is the battle that truly determines Galar’s future.
I honestly don’t think it’s underrated, it’s just… misused. Sure, this theme is amazing, but considering how Rose isn’t shown to be a threat aside from unleashing Eternatus, it just seemed wasted in a way.
@@TameHook128 yes, the theme is sinister and very dark souls vibes but rose is not like that, after eternatus is captured the guy gets arrested for his crimes in a completely calm way
Rose's theme is dark, intense, and sounds like you're fighting the embodiment of pure evil. However, you're only fighting a man who was misguided in his attempts to prevent a crisis far into the future, and who's own hubris and impatience got the better of him, accidentally almost dooming Galar.

The fact that people are hearing the mondegreen “Go Rose, save everyone” may not be a coincidence. It highlights his belief that bringing on The Darkest Day will save the Galar region, when in reality it’s saying “Rose’s thorned creed” in Latin, since his plan is flawed and likely to not go well. In short: Rose is misguided by the voices, thinking they’re telling him to go forth with his plan when in reality they’re warning him, trying to dissuade him.

You are probably very right. It was how Rose was like in the games. He kept quiet with his plans at first but he wouldn't take no as an answer. Especially with Leon. All of his followers did believe in him but when it went through (and even before at times) even his followers including Oleinia or however you spell it wanted him to stop. But he still thought he had their backing cause he was driven with power until you beat him. That's when he felt like a trainer again and realised the words everyone was saying to him.

How to make Chairman Rose a more understanding villain:
Make the power shortages happening _now._ DynaMaxing takes an insane amount of power, which is causing city-wide blackouts and unsafe conditions. Spikemuth is a city devoid of power because of this, making Piers not using DynaMax understandable too. And that’s why Chairman Rose is putting everything on the line to ensure Galar’s future.
The amount of writing improvements people have mentioned for all this makes me think the story was rushed in development or smthn how did they not think about this
This is the most epic music for a man who's entire team was flammable and one of the starters in every game is made of fire.
Me at the beginning: Yep, that's the antagonist
Me somewhere in the middle: Actually... He's really nice.
Me towards the end: This guy seems evil, but he hasn't done anything yet, and his reasoning seems good.
Me at the end: This guy is insane! I like his theme though.
CanonBro05 yeah, like somewhere halfway through the game i thought that oleana, his assistent, was the bad guy and thought that she was controlling rose or something like that
how is he insane? his plan made a lot of sense, the only thing he fucked up was that he got impatient
@@regionfuego6 It's my reaction, not me telling you facts.
@@regionfuego6 nah even if he waited for Leon to help him it's no use because Leon is not strong enough to defeaf Eternatus.
@@regionfuego6 imagine trump reenacting the holocaust to solve overpopulation. That's essentially what rose is doing just with darkest day and energy problems respectively
This is probably the most intimidating main antagonist battle theme since Ghetsis's from Black and white, which feels a bit weird because Rose is significantly more benevolent than Ghetsis was (but then again it's really easy to be more benevolent than Ghetsis was)
Maybe that benevolent look makes him more evil, he think he is right, he think he is the hero, and when someone makes bad things Unaware of them is really scary
To be fair I have diagnosed Ghetsis with 2 mental disorders: megalomania and narcissistic personality disorder.
Rose, he's just oblivious to what he's doing

The lyrics are Latin.
"Rosa Seda Credo." Roughly translated, it means, "The thorned rose's beliefs." Another interpretation is "Rose's thorned creed." Both are quite valid.
Pretty sure it says "Go Rose save everyone"
That's a mondegreen. It's Latin. I sent my linguistics professor from university the link to this video. She could clearly make out intelligible Latin, and gave those two interpretations.

I really wish there was an active energy crisis. Then rose would actually be a pretty cool character.
Or it could be somehow established that Rose has some form of anxiety, or the pressure of being a Chairman caused him to buckle under it and seek immediate solutions without rhyme or reason.
or maybe have eternatus be brought up more with rose
and make it clear the darkest day wasnt a day but eternatus itself as confirmed in the anime

Biggest surprise, surprises absolutely no one.

I might agree, but I love Marnie's theme too much. Easily my favorite theme in this game
Base game, yes. But the DLC has such a ripe selection
People are talking about rose being a “villain” but I think the better word for this is that he is the “antagonist”.
Agreed. He wasn't doing evil deeds he really believed he was doing what was best for the region. He didn't awaken Eternatus to start the end of the world he awakened it then realised he couldn't control it like he thought. Once Eternatus was awakened it was acting in its own and when we defeated it rose turned himself in peacefully.
@@katonnor Not just he wasn't doing evil things, he belived he was doing the right thing. He was trying to help Galar with a fucked up plan which of course backfired. But he is a good man.
@@xeronylloyd21 which is further proven by turning himself in. He knows he made a big mistake
Not evil
Just a man that needs to be stopped
He’s more of a sympathetic villain. The reason why he wants to awaken Eternatus is understandable- he wants to prevent an energy crisis. Although the crisis is 100 years away and at a time where Rose is going to be long gone, he feels as if the Galar region rests on his shoulders. After all, what’s stopping the crisis from happening when he’s still alive and still the chairman? It would be *his* fault if Galar is left without power! However, how he goes about preventing that crisis is inherently wrong.
This man turned evil in the last 5 minutes just because this game need an antagonist. How considerate of him
@Diotato Brandomato in the context of the story he is the "villain" but it doesn't seem very believable. if he was the leader of team yell and the "I must start the darkest day for galar's future" didn't come out of nowhere he might have been an actually good character. but nope, game freak is done with actually evil evil teams and now just they are somewhat likable goons/roadblocks and instead for the villain we have an obvious twist villain in the last 10 minutes of the game
Everyone in Galar: *Hyped to see the player face off against Champion Leon*
Chairman Rose at the last second: Lemme stop you right there.
@@Bird_in_a_Trenchcoat I mean they intentionally literred the game with red flags, with his passionate talks about the future and all the shit bede did as his sponsored contender (which he probably orchestrated and just punished bede for getting caught). Hell, his league card even subtley mentions how fuckin unstable this guy is. IMO they made a very intriguing villain, but they just ran out of time to develop him because of deadlines.
@@ck11032 ^^ yea i agree, i think the base concept of him being driven out of fear of an energy crisis is cool, its just not built up well enough, because galar as it is seems totally fine. i wish gf got more time to work on this game because a lot of the stories base ideas are cool, and would be great if they were more fleshed out
@@ck11032 he still just out of nowhere starts the darkest day for basically no reason other than the game needed a plot. they could have easily had him set up more as a villain and given him more time to be evil

I really like the hesitation right before he throws out his Pokemon. As if he's doubting his decision, having to fight a small child for the sake of his dreams, unsure of whether or not he's even making a good choice, but rather the choice he deems most beneficial for Galar. It's stuff like that that makes me like him so much.
That doesn't make any sense, his battle against you was purely malicious. He called you to the power plant for no other reason than to trap you while Eternatus was destroying Galar. If he actually needed your help he wouldn't have battled you. His goal was to stop you from helping Leon contain Eternatus, he directly says that in his dialogue before the battle.

When I first heard this theme, I was like, 'what in the Final Fantasy is this?!?' This track is fire.
Behold!
*The Capitalist.*
Here's how I would've had Rose say to Leon.
"Wait until after tomorrow's championship battle, Leon? Before you say another word, here's something you should know about me. I hate that mentality. You say "It's a thousand years away. We can do it after tomorrow's battle. Later. Later. Later." We'll keep telling ourselves that. "Tomorrow." We'll put it off until tomorrow for a thousand years until there are no tomorrows left.
Humans are creatures of habit. I am no different. I have a morning routine that I stick to every morning. If something disrupts this routine I may spill something on my clothes, burn my breakfast, style my hair wrong, or even arrive late for work, all of which are bad for my mental health and negatively affect the way the public and my business partners perceive me.
I also have business habits. The way I speak at a meeting between me and the other chairmen is practiced and professional. When I get fan mail or calls to my office, my responses are chiefly stock and seldom vary from person to person. It is all automatic and when I have to change the way I speak for a particular client I have trouble figuring out what to say. In other words, I have trouble diverging from my habits.
If I let you wait until after tomorrow's game you'll get into bad habits.
"I'm sorry, Chairman. I've been replaced as Champion. Can we give it a few days until the new Champ knows what they're doing?"
"Rose, Sonia asked me out for a date. Can we wait until after that date?"
"Chairman, Hop's sleeping. Can we wait until tomorrow, when he wakes up?"
Leon, the new champion is less important than Galar's future. You and Sonia have had many missed opportunities to go on dates. Hop can sleep as soon as the Darkest Day is over. But I can finally secure the future of Galar, and I cannot wait. I can contain Eternatus. The Darkest Day will not harm Galar as it did so long ago. I may be a creature of habit, but I have a habit of doing things that must be done right then and there, and I would prefer to do this as soon as possible.
But you are the Champion, so I will give you this one tomorrow. I do hope you will rise to the occasion and fulfill your responsibilities.
This deserves way more likes,I liked this

What I personally loved about Rose is that he genuinely thinks he's a hero. He's a man with a saviour complex that believes nobody but him can, or ever could, keep Galar safe. He subconsciously thinks of himself as stronger than the force of nature he tries to control, and pays the ultimate price.

Exactly, his personality is just what I would expect from a person who is largely responsible for Galar being the technologically advanced nation that it is.
He believes that," If there is something that can be done for the good of the people ,then you should not hesitate to do it,even if it means being shunned by the rest of the world ."
I find it silly that people always joke about," why couldn't he just wait a few days?? " because if Rose could have heard what they were saying (which he probably did , sitting in a Galar Prison cell reading the daily newspaper) he would have probably laughed .
