Episode 5 in Series: Structure
Thank you 😊
As a German I think your pronounciation of the ranks was good and this is a good video.
Extra fact: The ranks of Maat and Obermaat do have shoulder Epaulette, but only the shore troops wore them.
Thank you! Very interesting on the epaulettes as well.
His pronunciation of Gefreiter is wrong though.
As a Austrian I agree that his pronunciation is good, but certain things still sound weird to me such as "gefreiter" or "bootsmann".
Overall I'd say this is a well put together video, I enjoyed it
🤣 You're not a clever German if you think his pronunciation was good! I'm English and his pronunciation of German was not even close! He pronounced the ranks as a typical, ignorant Englishman would do without any respect for foreign languages... "Matroce", "Gefreeter", etc. And not knowing that those first two badges were actually Petty Officer ranks showed that this kid knew little about the WW2 Kriegsmarine and had created a video out of his depth. Why go to the trouble of pronouncing poor German and presenting incorrect information? What, because it's UA-cam and viewers either don't care or simple don't know?
@@johnny_pilot What do you know about WW2?
Backsong =
"When Jhonny Comes Marching Home"
Video =
Kriegsmarine (NS-Staat Navy)
What a mix!
I use that song for my intro in every video.
Yo love this keep it up.
Thanks for the explication
I Love the Video :-) But about your pronounciation: You pronounce Gefreiter Ge-free-ter but its pronounced Ge-fry-ter.
Bootsmann is Not pronounced Like english "Boots" but more Like "Boats-Mann"
Ja... sehr gut! 👍
