- Garmin Forerunner 735XT multisport watch review. I give you my opinion on the watch 1 year after wearing it. I upgraded from the 920XT and I give you my thoughts. This is a watch I use for my triathlon events and races and can't go a day without it now.

I've had mine for 5 years, very happy with it. There are two features in newer models that are getting tempting, NFC and Wrist based Pulse rate during swimming.

Thank you, very helpful! How's the altitude measurement in your opinion? I've read the GPS only is not that accurate, which is why I'm considering the 935 (much more expensive tho)
Olá... tenho garmin 735xt. Ao selecionar a atividade caminhada ele fica como caminhada trilha. Toda vez preciso entrar no app garmim connect e atualizar para caminhada normal. Tem alguma forma de padronizar?
I’m late to the game, but I’m a beginning runner and there’s a 620 near me (no strap) on Marketplace for $75 and there’s a VivoActive 3 for $50 and I can’t decide if I’m gonna get $25 additional benefit from an older watch as a beginner. There’s also a 735xt with straps for $125, but, again, I’m a beginner so I don’t know if it’s overkill at this point and if age of the watch matters. Will it last for me to “grow into” the benefits of the straps? I need some training help, e.g., Garmin Coach and I think all of these will help with that, but there’s so much out there!! Thoughts?
Hi Ed, if your only a runner and don’t cycle or swim and take your running fairly seriously I’d go for the 620. I think it’ll be more run focused compared to the vivo3 and have a x6 greater battery life. The 735xt is more for multi sport, so won’t get as much value if you just run. As a future investment it would be worth getting a strap to track your run progress.

Hey there, I am hoping you can answer a question. I received a polar m200 as a
gift 2 yrs ago which got me hooked on HRM. However, I am in search of a
new watch which has a stop watch function. Reason being is I am
returning to coaching and it would be great to have a stopwatch on my
wrist rather then have to carry a stop watch around when they do
intervals. I also have a timex triathlon watch which is a phenomenal
watch for coaching but does not have HRM. I have been wearing both
watches which is kind of annoying :). Does the 735xt have a stopwatch
feature that I can simple turn on and off as needed. Also, does the
watch have a countdown timer that can be set to repeat? thankyou very
much
Doesn’t have a stopwatch feature I’m afraid. If I need to time something I use one of the indoor workout modes but have to keep resetting every time. Not ideal but okay if I need it. I’d say not ideal if your coaching and need it often.
@@JacobsBadminton I bought the watch as it was on sale. I am happy to say that I was able to download a stopwatch app. So cool. It isn’t as easy to get to as the timed triathlon watch but it will be useful.

Hey Kevin, you can't download music onto the watch but I believe you can use it to control the music applications on your phone.
hi all-- what heart rate monitor (chest strap) pairs well with this watch?
Hi, I only use the standard Garmin HR strap. I believe you get other metrics with this when your uploading your data to connect. Not sure if you'd get this with other straps. Sorry I can't be of more help.

@@rickysanchez5539 yes it is water proof but wont work. You'll need to get the bundle with the swim HR strap.
