We have the curved Andersen levelers and have never had any problems and LOVE them! They are way easier to use than guessing how many blocks to use. We have never driven over them, always backed off of them.
Before we used our levelers for the first time, we watched videos on the company’s UA-cam channel. They advised pulling straight forward off the blocks.. I agree that it would probably be less stressful just to back off of them.
I have a hitch grip for 6-7 years and love it. It saves my back because I don't have to bend over as far to pick up the hitch and it really helps me lining up the hitch to the receiver. I consider it a must have.
You have been producing great content for years and it is still top notch. Your balls jokes had me rolling on the floor. We have certainly been guilty of buying some useless junk. You all have been an inspiration over the years and have influenced us to try UA-cam as a creator. We started a YT channel about 2 years ago and posted our first video about 3 weeks ago (A Channel Trailer). We hope to eventually approach the levels that you have already achieved. Merry Christmas and safe travels!
One note on the curved levelers: The smaller curved piece should be placed underneath the curved leveler once you have your camper positioned over them. This keeps the tire from rolling further over the leveler and likely decreases the chance that the leveler will eventually break under the weight of the camper. We then place a regular chock on the other side of the tire. This is a much more secure arrangement. Thanks for your videos. We always enjoy them.
Have used Anderson levelers for 7 years (same ones) and have worked well for us. I pair that with the Levelmate Pro, makes it easier for us to level up. As always......great channel, great content.
We. Use curved levelers on tandem axle trailers for 3 years. Works great when used correctly ( not like this video) and have never broke@@ValleyCustoms
FWIW, my $30 "Rophor" curved levelers came with mats, chocks, and a storage bag. They work great. They claim 35,000 lbs capacity. My RV is just under 10,000 lbs. My interlocking Lego-style levelers have always been a giant pain, and two packs of Legos didn't get me as high as the Rophors, but they took up almost twice the storage space as the Rophor curved levelers.
I have used Anderson Levelers for 8 years, I like using them and had good luck with them. they have broken but Anderson replaces them for free. The rubber pad really helps. I always roll back of them vs driving over them, so they don't break that way.
Andersen lever blocks are made in Idaho Falls, Idaho, my home town. They had a batch of bad blocks about 5 years ago, they would have replaced the broken items and paid for the shipping to you. My son had some of the duds, replaced with no questions asked. I have used the Andersen levering blocks for years, great product.
Thanks, that is interesting to learn about the bad batch. First time I have heard of the issue! Yes, maybe ours came from that batch. Overall, I’ve heard many positive reports about these levelers and of course we were surprised that they failed on the first use. Thank you for the information.
We use the Beech Lane levelers and LOVE them! They have never cracked, but we never pull off of them the way you did!! In fact Jim & I both yelled out NOOOO!! When we watched you do that. Your jokes are so immature. LOL! 🤣We know you are funny, but now we see you're nuts. Hahahaha! Which is one of the reasons we love watching!! -Jim & Michelle
Great video! You answered a question I had with the curved leveling blocks I didn't think they would hold up to weight and many sites are gravel and would not even have a smooth even surface that would cause a better chance of failing.
Have used most of those over 40 years of trailer towing. After breaking a bunch of the yellow/orange stackable squares of uneven ground I now use 1" horse stall matts cut into 7x11 pads. Made for horses they will take anything you put under or on them. You can't break them, they have a coarse finish and won't slide. They are a bit heavier than the plastic junk but and will last forever.
Thanks for the heads up on some of this stuff!! We use the hitch grip every time, keeps my hands and jeans clean and I just love it. Easy to throw in the back of the truck after. Loloho
I'm in my 70's and found hitch grip. Awesome. What I could barely do using 2 hands & my back + at least 1 grease stain on my clothes, I can now do with 1 arm. It's easy to register the grip on the ball, if you're intentional about it. I then gave my 78 year old buddy one and he said I extended their RVing life by several years! Just store it in a milk crate right inside your tailgate, or in a forward cubby with other hitch-up tools. Tip: if you don't see a need for the one you have, save till you're in your 60s. You'll be glad you did!. Check out Beech Lane version of the curved lifters...less $, more features like rubber mat and 2 wedges for under the curves. Also, great customer service!
For leveling, I just screwed a T-style bubble level (round would work, too) on my floor where I can see it from the driver's seat, but it's still out of the way (right behind the passenger seat). Then I just drive back and forth in the campsite to find the best level. They use my curved levelers, if still needed. With the curved levelers, I just watch the T-bubble levels and drive forward until level. I'm pretty pleased with the system.
Use the Anderson levelers and love them. I use then on my tandem axle trailer with no problem. I do have texture on mine at the bottom. I have never had them slip on my driveway or camp site. Typically campsites we use are crushed limestone gravel or concrete. Have used on asphalt also never had them slip. If my site is less that 5” out of level these are the ticket. They have never not worked on my camper. Paired with the Level Mate Pro set us is super quick and easy.
Like one of your followers said, they have had there set of Anderson levelers for 7 years and I have had my set for 3 years with not a problem. Mine are an off brand KGDJS. I bought mine for my bumper pull and now am using them on my 5th wheel. I like the simplicity of this system...
We are Anderson leveler lovers also. Never had a problem. Of course, we have a smaller trailer than you, a fiberglass 15 foot camper. And... we've never pulled forward or backward off the higher end of the levelers - it looked risky to us. We just back off the lower lift end when leaving the site. And we've never had a sliding issue.
We used the camco version of the curved levelers. Two issues for us: they tend to slide on hard smooth surfaces ( i think a rubber surface would prevent that), and the higher you drive onto the leveler, the more pressure you put on the surface below. If its on gravel or dirt, they dig in, which leasens their effectiveness. We switched back the lego style like you did.
The "Hitch Grip" is a back saver for me - - inserting and removing the solid bar hitch is much simpler for me - - and once your back "goes out" your will appreciate the relief this little unit offers when you need to remove/replace your 40# hitcher
Long time, first time. Love you guys. I have used the Anderson levelers for decades with nary a problem. Sounds like you got a bad batch. (27' twin axle airstream.)

I took my broken curved leveler, (like yours it broke on the first use) and put it in one of my plastic totes in the truck bed to use as an organizer. It holds WD 40 cans, hitch ball covers. Hitch pins, and other small paraphernalia making it easier to find.
Sean I must say I've seen more use out of those orange flat stacksbles then the Anderson level system. I like the light up leveler that Mark uses on KYD thst he uses to level with. Thanks for the info
I love my hitch grip. It allows me to handle my Blue Ox hitch with the rock tamers by myself. I also have a set of curved levelers and have used them religiously without any issues.
The honest answer is that I tend to keep this RV clutter around for use in videos. It's useful to have the item in hand when discussing it, even if it is junk. I'm tempted to do a deep clean of my entire garage. I would love to toss it all out. Hope you are well!

I was shocked to see them break on the first use because I had heard so many good reports about them. I do think the company seems like a good operation. Many people say the company sent them replacement levelers. Glad to hear they have worked well for you!
The first levelers are great for teardrop and single axle trailers. I’ve seen a few marriages almost come to an end when trying to use them on double axle trailers. Especially when it’s wet out. 😂

lol. Yep pretty much all junk. I do have a set of those Anderson levelers, but rarely used them as they just don't have enough friction. 🤣 I always loved that shot at the end but it's the first time I saw the part of you retrieving the camera. That little cloud that was directly above was so perfect that it made me think it was staged. Great topic for videos. I have that leveling system too and it is very iffy at best. Maybe if it was made in America? I've also had those waffle-type levelers but mine broke with first use, like your curved ones did. It makes you wonder if they even test these products before selling them. Don't see how they stand to make money that way. Merry Christmas, honeymooners. 🎄❄🥂🕊
Thanks, I love that you watched to the end and caught that Easter egg. Not staged... sometimes the universe cooperates and we get a little magic. Appreciate you noticing. Merry Christmas to you too
@LongLongHoneymoon Not the first time a company incorrectly demonstrated its own product. It only makes sense to back onto the low end and then pull forward off the same low end. They do this in the second demonstration. They should replace them for you and correct their video and instructions.
I've had Anderson leveler blocks for 5 years with no issues. Not sure why your directions said to drive off of the blocks the way they did, but you NEVER drive over the thick ends.
Seems like a dumb idea to drive off the end of the levelers even if that’s what the instructions say. Mine lasted about 7 years before cracking, but not fully through. I have the taller version now and have been fine.
That was the official instruction from the company, so I thought they were designed for it. I think they both had already cracked, but that finished them off.
Those leveler blocks look cheap to begin with_ specially with the big holes thru the material. Those are designed much lighter trailers; maybe single axles. That hitch grip is just dumb, IMO; clean off the ball and move it,; you need to keep it clean anyways.
Our curved levelers are great! Never had a problem with breaking or sliding-our travel trailer probably isn’t as big as yours though. The double entendres were hilarious!
We’ve used the Anderson levelers with single axle trailer and it worked great. Maybe there’s some weight limit your Airstream has exceeded? (not saying it fat… just weight challenged 🫣)

You always make me laugh! Thank you!
Great review of the hitch grip! 😂
Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed it!
I think the levelers should face the other way then back on and pull forward off. You drove over them the wrong way😂😂😂
What about this...ua-cam.com/video/b4JQV15VzBc/v-deo.html
@LongLongHoneymoon Not the first time a company incorrectly demonstrated its own product. It only makes sense to back onto the low end and then pull forward off the same low end. They do this in the second demonstration. They should replace them for you and correct their video and instructions.
Good information
I've had Anderson leveler blocks for 5 years with no issues. Not sure why your directions said to drive off of the blocks the way they did, but you NEVER drive over the thick ends.
Our Anderson levelers broke also.
Merry Christmas
see those holes ontop of your hitch put a pipe clamp on it simple
It goes on the bottom step
I never bought any of them. As an engineer. I found them to be cheesy gadgets not worth spending money on.
I just use a 6 inch bubble level .
Electric ice maker is the way to go. Easy to use and makes a shit load of ice in about 10 minutes.
Those leveler blocks look cheap to begin with_ specially with the big holes thru the material. Those are designed much lighter trailers; maybe single axles.
That hitch grip is just dumb, IMO; clean off the ball and move it,; you need to keep it clean anyways.
Great video👍still funny Sean🤣
Good video
Could just show where the manufacturer told you to roll over the top of plastic

@LongLongHoneymoon Yeah he went backwards
@@sgtwrench69 No, he clearly went forwards and the narration states, "when you're done, you can simply drive off." Case closed. 😂
I never invested in the items that he showed in this video. Thank you for your honest review. Best wishes.
Our curved levelers are great! Never had a problem with breaking or sliding-our travel trailer probably isn’t as big as yours though.
The double entendres were hilarious!
You are FUNNY!!
We’ve used the Anderson levelers with single axle trailer and it worked great. Maybe there’s some weight limit your Airstream has exceeded? (not saying it fat… just weight challenged 🫣)
Our Airstream is not fat, it is full figured!
