my mum and dad -r.i.p-starting taking me there 1n 1956----------have a photo of me in water in 56-still going there religously to this day------changed times-=filmed obviously on a beauiful day-sadly this year weather wise has not been kind to Bundoran so far---great footage lovely to watch ad brings back some wonderfull memories of days gone bye
No mobile phones... No video games... Kids out enjoying the beach ... A far more simpler healthy way of life... How times have changed... Although the Rougey hadn't changed at all! Absolutely brilliant find! Thanks for sharing 👍👍
The yellow " amusement" boat is an old ( not then ) WW2 DUKW, an amphibious landing craft that also had 6 wheels capable of land travel. My father rode about in one of those in the Pacific War. Manufactured by various companies, General Motors being one of them. There are still quite a few around.
oh gosh. I was born in 1957 and even though this is slightly before my time it brings back so many memories. I grew up in Bundoran. I vaguely remember the duck/ boat thing. I think it only went for a few years in my time.
