I've seen III a few times and each show was among my favorite shows. He'd start with the traditional contry, go into punk, and end up in doom metal. If you stayed to the end he'd take pictures and all that. Recently met IV and he seems cut from a similar cloth. Love Hank III and look forward to seeing what becomes of IV.
Love this Song and some Hank 3. He may never get in too the Country music Hall of Fame like his Grandpa n his Dad Junior but Fuck the Hall of Fame! They waited to his Father Hank Jr was 70 years old until they let him in. Hank Sr was fired from the Opry in Tennessee. Great Tribute to Real Country Legends.
Dave and I both love this song and it's on our regular playlist. Hank's music is just so catchy and I find his unique voice endearing! I had Dave on plumber duty today with multiple projects so he was tuckered out and didn't get around to commenting!
Another great reaction. Hank lll is a very interesting guy, his musical style seems to be more akin to his fathers. In that he can do kick-a** southern rock and traditional country. However his voice is straight from his grandpappy. Also Don have you considered doing a live stream? I am sure a great deal of effort would have to go into it and maybe that is something that isn't really feasible for you but it would be great to react with you and your subscribers in real time.
@Mike Barnett Thanks for the encouragement, Mike. I have considered it and it's on my bucket list, so to speak. I just have so many projects I'm working on right now that I have to get done first before diving into learning how to set up a live stream and how to make it work well. But it's always floating in the background of my mind, so we'll see if I can pull it off sooner rather than later. Thanks again. :-)
He actually spans quite a range. A fair bit of his music is hardcore metal and punk, but he does that stuff under different band names (which I can't remember at the moment)
I'm liking Hank 3 as well ... I liked Hank I, not so much Hank II, and frankly never listened to much by III. But thanks to you I'm going to find some more of him ... really liked this one!
Need to listen to his Straight To Hell album start to finish. Some tracks to react to: Straight To Hell Pills I Took Crazed Country Rebel Low Down Dick in Dixie Damn Right, Rebel Proud is another amazing album: 3 Shades of Black PFF (heavy on the punk for this one) H8 Line Close Calls and Long Hauls
Honestly i'm more into psychedelic and space rock but somehow i'm enjoying Hank III... There's something special about his outlaw rebel style that i really miss in modern country music. Great reaction by the way.
@@thejeriii Yeah i love it, thank you. I love stoner/doom in general. I think ADD was recorded using guitar cabinets Hank bought from Matt Pike (Sleep, High on Fire). Good stuff.
He sounds like Hank, Sr. He doesn’t have as much grit in his voice, but I really like him. When Hank sang the blues, he had a mournful tone that was unique. Hank III is close. I recommend Hank Sr. MOANING THE BLUES. It has it all. The grit, the mournful tone and the unique catch in his voice.
That album is brilliant. You are pretty close on the theme. It's a F Nashville album. It has a little of this and some stuff that's a bit faster. He's losing his mind because Nashville sucks. Most of it feels like some sort of fever dream. I reccommend "Pills I Took". It's a cover, but fits the album really well.
Why don't you go back and do some early/mid 70's Hank Jr. He had some good stuff then too. My favorite is Eleven Roses, but there is also his 1st #1 All For the Love of Sunshine, Pride's Not Hard to Swallow, Ain't That a Shame, and a tribute to his dad simply called Hank
@Gary Goodman Funny you should mention "Hank," as yesterday I uploaded my reaction to it and scheduled it for this Sunday. Tomorrow is Alan Jackson, Monday is Carly Pearce. :-)
This is the start of the next generation of punk rock...so much respect for Hank 3rd
In the early 00’s Hank was the F•CKIN MAN!!! I met him 3 times & he is the real deal…super cool dude 🖤
A voice like his grandfather, a killer band and a rebel heart. Hank lll rocks country. ....The Clint Eastwood comment was right on.
It's different. The Western flair is low and sorrowful. His voice is the perfect companion to the musicians. This is so dang good. 💞💞💞
If he isn’t the spitting image of his grandpa and I can 💯 hear Hank Sr in his sound.

Thanks Don for taken the time to react to my request . Btw "Mudd" is my nickname. Love your reactions. Keep em coming my friend.

We need more of you 3! I'd kill to get to see you live just once in my life! skate or die!!!!!
This man is AMAZING I keep saying it I don’t know why I haven’t seen these reactions!! I’ve seen him live and he played and sang 4 hours straight.
Don't forget Hank recorded this album and all the players on this and many other records on his own being the player and producer

There is a video of the three hanks, not sure how they did it but it's a MUST WATCH
He does country punk and metal.
Great to hear Hank 3. Try "Getting drunk and falling down" and "Lonesome for You"
Hank 3 Workin man!
Wow Don I never really liked Hank 3 until you're last reaction if his. Now I'm starting to get into his music
I saw him on the Grand Oprie
Dave and I both love this song and it's on our regular playlist. Hank's music is just so catchy and I find his unique voice endearing! I had Dave on plumber duty today with multiple projects so he was tuckered out and didn't get around to commenting!
@Christine Ems I have just the remedy for him (and perhaps you) about fixing things around the house. It’s in its way. :-)
He sounds almost just like his granpa
Road dog member & Tennessee hellbilly.🇺🇸

I hadn't heard his music until now and that was my first thought a bar or two in. Wow, throw back voice from his granddad.
I'm liking Hank 3 as well ... I liked Hank I, not so much Hank II, and frankly never listened to much by III. But thanks to you I'm going to find some more of him ... really liked this one!
I think this is his best song.
Or maybe County Rebel
You need to react to Hank 3 some more
Need to listen to his Straight To Hell album start to finish.
Some tracks to react to:
Straight To Hell
Pills I Took
Crazed Country Rebel
Low Down
Dick in Dixie
Damn Right, Rebel Proud is another amazing album:
3 Shades of Black
PFF (heavy on the punk for this one)
H8 Line
Close Calls and Long Hauls
Honestly i'm more into psychedelic and space rock but somehow i'm enjoying Hank III... There's something special about his outlaw rebel style that i really miss in modern country music.
Great reaction by the way.
And yeah he can also do more traditional stuff very well haha
Have you listened to Attention Deficit Disorder? You might like that.
@@thejeriii Yeah i love it, thank you. I love stoner/doom in general. I think ADD was recorded using guitar cabinets Hank bought from Matt Pike (Sleep, High on Fire).
Good stuff.
Find his punk rock stuff.

Listen to thunderstorms and neon signs by him. Then say he doesn't have the girt of his grand father.

Please do The Grand Ole Opry by Hank 3

He looks and sounds like his PawPaw
He sounded better there. But he sounds like his Grandfather.
I have a reaction request if teardrop were pennies by Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton thank you very much
Most talented of all 3.
C'mon lmao
Hey Don do the live version of possum in a tree on the marty Stuart show with Leroy troy.
I love The Three Hanks album.
Only person that should have talked about was pattie cline
I really like Hank 111. I have about 5 cd's of his. One of them I do not like because it is so weird.
Which album is that? I wanna check it out
@@wolfmanscott8669 that’s the second cd of “Straight to Hell “ it’s kinda weird but has some good songs mixed in.
the country heros he mentioned are all dead. So that maybe why they are there.
This song is spa decade old, he's up to nothing
