@@KC-lg8qf I feel as if they a a good long distance marathon type shoe but I usually run cross country so its hard for me to say exactly. I do like them for training cardio though
Usually sprinters get track shoes/spikes but for interval training were you sprint then jog over and over would be fine. The phantoms are more of a distance shoe however.
Personally I dont use map my run. I use phone apps like Strava as it has community leader boards and all these extra bells and whistles. Have you used map my run in the past and like it more than other things out there?
@@CollyW The actual point I've wanted to address was that the shoes don't have bluetooth device in the mid sole as the previous model. I have used map my run and liked because it worked well with iPhone and apple watch. Haven't tried other apps.
the phantom series is a runner and does get pretty narrow as well but its not as narrow as the phantom 2 so you could be ok. the different nike models also have different fits so if an air force 1 is narrow for you then this shoe will be way to narrow but if a running model is narrow it might fit similar.

Is the sizing the same as Nike? I’m between sizes, but the larger size was sold out so I ordered the half size smaller. I hear Nike runs small so these may fit me tight.
So for my foot many nikes I wear a size 11 but in all my under armour 11 is too big and a size 10.5 is much better. Main thing I find you have to do is always tie you shoe with your heel locked right to the back and you will have the correct fit.
@@CollyW I tried the hovr phantom 2’s and they were way too small in my true size so I returned them. Now I ordered the phantom 3’s in my true size so hopefully they fit me this time around.
@@CollyW Update. I received them and yup way too small, I could feel all the stitching in the front. Under armour seems to run 1/2 a size smaller than my Nikes and I have a lot of Nike shoes.
I find they stay decently locked in. It is a mesh upper shoe so if you just wear it all day not just for an exercise the laces would come loose over time but you would just need to re tie them
@@CollyW just one more query... Does the sole get creased after first usage? Mine got slightly creased on first wear after doing some light outdoor activities. I own phantom 3 hovr storm Thank you
I assume maybe you have flat foot? The raised arch is for arch support as this is a long distance running shoe meant for a runners stride. So many people purchase this shoe for every day just for looks or to walk around in but its really not meant as a walking shoe.
@@CollyW Indeed, there are better comfortable options, but this shoe looks insane, especially the black with gold. I think I will sacrifice some comfort. Thank you for your recommendations and sharing your experiences with us.
Very responsive and comfortable id say 8/10 were the phantom 2 id give 8.5/10 I have yet to put it to a run test so thats just on foot feeling and not a performance review.

majority of running shoes are pretty narrow to start and begin to mold to your feet over time. If you have flat feet a lot of running shoes unfortunately arnt designer for people with flat feet. I agree. I've got the Storm version and there is indeed a sharp ridge inside both shoes at the foot arch, from which I have to protect myself by using orthotic insoles. I think it's where the outsole edge rises above the footbed to create a hard ridge. It's a lovely shoe otherwise, but that issue could be a deal-breaker for some. In my experience, the shoe also runs slightly short even without the orthotic inserts, so I had to size up half a size from my usual size to get a comfortable fit.
Love these shoes. They lock in my ankle really well. Much better for agility days than ultra boost. . It's like wearing an athletic slipper.
The design looks so surreal, innovative. definitely gonna pick up a pair even if just for walking
