I love Banu. Sort of trade inclined Salarians. And we really need Tevarin npcs in the verse as soon as possible, given they literally are a part of UEE.
I hope we will see elite Tevarin commando members of the UEE military, could be so freaking cool, they are more and more accepted in the empire in recent lore after all, they even have one senator if I remember correctly
Did the Imperator succeed in that, or am I thinking about a failed attempt to get a member of another race to be the Ambassador to that race for the UEE? Too much lore to keep in order. I love it! 😁👍
I love the Tevarin. Alien bird samurai. What's not to love? I hope that we'll be able to get Tevarin crew members at some point. Also let's not forget that there is a community of Tevarin living outside the empire, and not every Tevarin is forced to stay in the empire. That means that a not insignificant number of them _chooses_ to live as members of the UEE. In my opinion, every Tevarin who had the chance to move to Branaugh and choose to stay in the UEE instead is a patriot.
Thank you Lore-Master Paul. Despite the Banu's focus on trade, their contacts, access to all race's technology and their unpredictable nature make them a sleeping dragon that should not be awakened or underestimated. The Xian are the obvious shady race to keep close, but not too close, out of dagger's reach for certain. The Tevarin are painful to think about.: Not Humanity's best chapter in the 'verse of SC, although if they reclaim some of their identity and meld it with the best Humanity has to offer, the UEE Tevarin would become a shining light. Sadly I don't see this as likely. The Vanduul are extremely primitive in their attitude but, as you pointed out, some clans are developing beyond that of their accepted nature. Could they develop to the point of sparking an all out Vanduul civil war? Honestly, I have no idea. My lore knowledge is insufficient for this conversation really, but it's fun to be a part of it. Thanks @TheAstroHistorian
Love these videos where you pull lots of info together. There is so much lore and its very dispersed but compiling it like this put it in a whole new perspective and gives the Verse a broader scope than might have been missing before.
I believe the Vanduul society have borrowed quite a bit from the Hirogen of the Star Trek universe, albeit they seem much more centralized than the Vanduul.
Well done as always! I love your channel. It makes sense that the Banu have “good” trade relations with the Tevarin and the Vanduul. Warrior cultures especially those who engage in raiding need somewhere to sell their loot.
I love how humans have caught up to all this within the past few centuries so based on the current course of development humans will most likely technologically evolve way passed all of the other races
How is it that the Tevarin seem to best the Vanduul, humanity defeated and nearly annihilated the Tevarin, and the Vanduul have become a major threat to humanity? Why aren't we seeing a simple hierarchy of martial ability?
It's important to remember that Humanity nearly lost to the Tevarin in both wars. It's not like humanity entirely smoked the Tevarin, both times humanity was on the verge of defeat when a decisive battle managed to turn the tide. Since then the Tevarin are a shell of their former selves those Tevarin that have beat the Vanduul have only ever faced small clans. Humanity can and has beat the Vanduul in one on one engagements. The issue is the Vanduul don't have a central command, they are decentralized and scattered. Their culture is based on conflict and war, so if a survivor of a clan escapes they bring more Vanduul back. So raids turn into pitched battles. It's only very recently that Humanity has had the proper intelligence to know how to counter the Vanduul, something that the Tevarin have likely done in their own engagements with the Vanduul, which is total annihilation of the attacking clan. If you wipe out a clan to the individual member then they can't go back and tell the other clans that a good fight can be had in this system. TL;DR Tevarin kill every single combatant which makes them good at keeping Vanduul off their lawn, something Humanity has just learned to do.
In SC: Nobody knows. One of the problems is, that the next few StarSystems are all not alien systems so if they keep it lore-accurate as I understand it there shouldn't be too many alien encounters. Of course, there is also the tech-aspect where I personally hope that they wait at least until the AI Systems are performant enough that your human AI (and creatures) are already working well before they start working on aliens SQ42 however: When it launches. - We of course know that we will fight Vanduul in that game and therefore "interact" with them. - We know that in 2017 the vertical slice mission is centred around human smugglers who smuggle humans into the Banu Slave-Market so there are some connections to Banu in that story, though we obviously don't know how far this connection is explored in the story. Could very well be that we stop at the human part of that story - At the latest since the "I Held the Line" Trailer we however also know that there will be some connections to Xi'an in that game. We don't know if we will ever interact with them but we do know that one of the storylines (missions) is centred around a Xi'an Hauler. We also know that in this case we will at least go far enough as to explore that ship (so alien ships from Xi'an are included) since we also see that in "I Held the Line"
What a bullshit is that. You're kwekking bullshit, man All Alien stuff, they belong to the verse. When flight ready you should try them out, it's just a part of the universe and that's how it roles to the real backers who "are testing and reporting issues and bugs". And if you can't handle a Alien vessel yourself, that doesn't mean others can't handle them too when that's a reason to remove them all in your opinion. To n00bs who think that Star Citizen is a game, they just don't understand the goal of Star Citizen. Star Citizen is a Universe, like Chris says at the beginning! Backers who are there since the beginning like myself, we all understand the way the cookie crumbles.

I don't want to merely see Tevarin in the verse. I want to play as one too. I hope at least one of them are part of the Squadron 42 cast.
Unfortunately for this comment, CIG have stated that there will be no playable alien races. @@Hylanvahr

I can't wait for the Tevarin to be fleshed out more. They are my favorite race so far.

Thank you for taking the time to put these together!
I was quite curious how each one viewed humanity too. I was wondering if there are any vandul clans which tolerate humanity
I want to know more!! More individual in depth history of the races. Good stuff!
Thanks for the review, bud

Great video always enjoy this stuff 😊
Where are the Kilrathi?
Great video, Sir! Any ideas on how the different species view Humans? Keep producing the fantastic content!👍
I kind of talked about that in the different factions video I did a while back but I could do one again.
@@TheAstroHistorian Yes, I have most of your videos saved in my reference folder! Thanks again, Sir!
I really dig the lore in this game.
Didn't even know this game had aliens. lol

I kinda want a rouge tevarin nation.
I think CIG have that covered.
what about the Kilrathi??

@@TheAstroHistorian Great reply, thank you. Love your vids!
My question is, when will these aliens be in game?
Sometime between tomorrow and the heat death of the universe.
@TheAstroHistorian yea, that might be true. They said that's the same day they give us the release date of this game.

Nothing but picture, where are they ingame?
Not in game yet
I see the Banu as today's Romani people.
thanks for these vids... adds depth to the game that doesnt get told in game
Im assuming all of them would see eachother with there eyes. Unless they have psychic abilities or somethin...
they should remove all aliens all together imo...game is still in alpha, remove em before release.
Why?

How would we know? I've never seen an "Alien" in SC... Let alone talked to one.
I have during xenothreat and the vandull swarm.
