Got the course. Thank you for your efforts. Alone one of the first sessions regarding the stance is so helpful. Like Robby Naish said: „time on water“... Practise is key. Hope my wife can take the kids today 😎
I just got my surfskate today, I tried a few run and I found it veryuch different from cruiser board. I been watching and following your channel and it made me decide to try surfskate I was encouraged by your video and hope to learn how to ride it properly
Got the course! And my cruising board is arriving tomorrow, so excited. The plan is to take my board to Rhodes in a suitcase hah wish me luck, their sidewalks and roads thoroughly suck.
I've been doing yoga every day for the past month or so. And it's making a HUGE difference for me. I don't have any particular stretching routine when I skate, though.
@@facundooliver3851 it's easy to get a Z-Flex surfskate across Europe - these are great - they use the Waterborne adapter at the front - I learned on one of these. After a couple of months I wanted to see what other brands felt like, but still couldn't find any - so I got a Yow V4 S5 adapter from Blue Tomato and swapped that on - the ride is nearly identical, with the same motion, but just a little more rebound from the Yow spring than the Waterborne bushing. Then finally a couple of weeks ago some Yows arrived, and I got a Teahupoo with a Meraki truck - this is lovely and a better fit for me as it's a little longer than the Z-Flex, but I still like the Z-Flex. Surfdome has a few Yows left, loads of suppliers have Z-Flex.
I would say it's very helpful to at least be able to balance on a board. But it's not necessary. In that case, start with a stable truck, such as the Carver CX or the Slide.
@@SurfskateLove I will work a little bit more on my skating and then make the change to surfskate. Thanks for making your videos, they are such an inspiration for beginners. I'll check out your course when I'm ready.
Steve As I like your videos I dont understand why you are trying to replicate “surf” movements if you are not a real (water) surfer. IMHO may be you have yet to discover Long Distance pushing/pumping. Lets put it this way: you learned to walk, now you need to learn to run for hours faster and spending less energy. Then you could mix both techs (surfy ldp efficient) Regards!

Thanks, Andre! Great to have you. Much appreciated.
Hey Steve, I'm new at this and tour videos help to improve A LOT, they're so easy to understand and put it to practice. So, thanks for that:)

Hi, would you be able to recommend a good and affordable surfboard for beginners with no skating experience?
I’ve been surfskating for a few weeks now. Do you have a stretching routine? My core is sore from carving!!

is this course still available somewhere? I would love to get it!
Yep! surfskate.love/learn-surfskate/
@@SurfskateLove oh yet great! I wanted to start so bad but UA-cam can be overwhelming with options, thanks!
Love this initiation! I been trying to start surfskating for like a month, but i cant buy any board anyway in Europe!
Yow and slide are based in Spain! It’s pretty easy to get those in Europe.
@@tillkraatz624 Even right now? Seriously?
Same situation everywhere in the world now, my friend. Companies can't keep up with demand.
@@tillkraatz624 Do you know if there any store that have them in stock?

Do yo need to know how to skate before learning how to surfskate?

Keep going bra
The only question is do I want a carver board or a loaded poke with carver trucks? Decisions, decisions
I would say to start with a Carver board. IMO they make the best decks.
Дорогой курс 😢 Придется учится так.
