Excellent, loved the pixel metaphor explanation, that’s a great way to put it in contemporary terms. That cochineal color pop is so incredible after all this time.
I love your videos on Andean textiles, the textiles are so complex and sophisticated and despite time they still look so striking. Hopefully, more Andean videos will come soon
This was fascinating - another great candidate for the "how its made" playlist. 😉 I'd love to see someone wear this and the "not 100% human, otherworldly" effect it has.
We do have a section called creating and conserving, it's not all videos and many of the videos were made by museums rather than us but there is some good content in there. You might want to start with the section called the "Conservator's Eye" smarthistory.org/creating-and-conserving/
The mountains and the sea rather look like crossed hands and the torso if you take into the account that upper triangle represents a head. Together combined you get a stack of people in tunics, perhaps wearing the very same one you are talking about in this video. ;)
Absolutely Stunning Textile Achievement 🌐🌿🌐
Always love it when you explore non european cultures. Just lovely 😍
Very beautiful!!
Breathtakingly BEAUTIFUL…..I will be playing it…stopping to examine and appreciate your glorious account….over and over
It doesn't look its age at all. Amazing.

Fantastic. Concise and clear explanation of the technology and techniques used.
Thanks for the information. Very interesting 🧐
id be interested in seeing a recreation of this
The fact that those tunics represent the chaos-order of the World is amazing. Is a very cosmological perspective and its what gets me when I see it.

Wow!
Eccezionale, WARI primo impero Andino, dell'antico Perú.
