Decals are a nice solution. It would be great if you could have an image with a transparent background and automatically use that as a mask instead of having to create an additional asset that takes up space and requires updating as well every time a decal needs to change.
Thank you for the video. excellent as always. My Question is about the cup, it looks low poly, but renders differently. My lack of modeling trainingg is becoming evident to me. How is the cup modeled? Thanks Phil
In 3Ds Max there is something called modifiers that can apply different effects to the model. The modifiers can stack like layers, where the bottom one is affected by the one above it. One of the modifier is called Turbosmooth, which smooths out the model (or selected parts of it). In the video, we can see that the object is either a proxy with simple preview, or a low-poly model that has turbosmooth (or a similar modifier) applied to it. Hope it helps! :)
@@BossToastMaker Thank you , I have been modeling for years and using max and vray and corona for years too, and I thought it was a new tool that i had missed, But I know what ytour refering too. Thank you. You know yourself there is always 4 ways to model something. Appreciate the reply.
Can you do more videos for SKetchup and vray? And please can you do an official course for everyone? It’s impossible spent so much money for this softwere and no one course. I don’t want to spent money in the training center and I know that a lot of people think like me! Thank you
