For some reason the yarn mop reminds me of koi carp I absolutely love it and the other yarns are a super soft version, thanks for sharing this with us rebecca ❤️
Oh! This is so beautiful! I have got to try it soon. ❤️❤️❤️. And I loved the yarn mop so much that I dashed over to your Etsy site and bought it! I can hardly wait to knit it!
Like a circus! This would knit or crochet up into some stunning baby stuff-a blanket or even a layette. (Although worsted is a little heavy for that...)
I love it soooo much, Rebecca! This was such a fun experiment to watch, and I adore the colors you picked! The final yarn looks like a sunset and I'm so excited to play with it! Thank you so much 🥰
I really like this technique a lot. The peachy color where the orange and pink/red blended is gorgeous! Do you find that neons have less pigment at 1% dos compared to others? I wonder if the blue is just...stronger. I think trying this with just two dark colors, like burgundy and navy would be interesting. put no dye powder in the middle 6 inches or so and see how the colors move when you add water. With Dark colors, I suspect parts of it would turn out a bit more tonal. Fun colorway!
I can't share the name/brand of the Fluorescent Red yet. Hopefully soon! (I've been beta testing some new colors from a few different companies. Once these are released I'll update the video descriptions of relevant videos with brand & shade names. I do have a "first impressions" video I'm saving for later, too.)
No I don't. This isn't a bad idea, but the amount of time it would take isn't really worth it in my opinion. Some skeins (like KnitPIcks Felici) are shorter and so might fit non-scrunched in the pan.
Hi! I cannot share the dye brand or names right now as I'm beta testing them, but I will try to update the video with the brand/color names once they're released (hopefully soon!)
By the way, could you share the name of the fluorescent red dye? I looked on the Dharma website and didn't see a florescent red dye on their list of acid dyes.
I can't at the moment, I was testing out some new dyes and so I left the brand/shade names off of the video. I hope that they will be released in not too long (and then I'll go back and update the video descriptions where I used them.)
I love the soft colors you created! they look beautiful together!!
Thank you so much!
That yarn has serious Miami vibes!
Oh yes!
Woof 10.50 I am having a Lady Lovey Locks flashback to the 80s :D Loving the colors on that yarn mop!!

These are beautiful, I love that neon pastel, but I also love that yarn mop!
Thank you so much!
Both colour ways are stunning!

That is beautiful yarn, soft but no dull.

I love how the yarn turned out! What is the name of the Fluorescent Red? Thank you.

Thank you. I am intrigued to know about it. My grandson loves the fluorescent colors. He would love to have a fluorescent red item made.
Do you ever re-skein the yarn so it fits your dye pan rather than scrunching it up?
No I don't. This isn't a bad idea, but the amount of time it would take isn't really worth it in my opinion. Some skeins (like KnitPIcks Felici) are shorter and so might fit non-scrunched in the pan.
Which dyes are these? Dharma? Jacquard? I'd really love to know which ones specifically. Thank you!
