Thanks for the video. At that price, I would have expected the full version of Dirac. Also, there is no phone input. Ok, what I didn't understand is the additional amplification with 7.1.4 via chinch. So, do I have to have additional power amplifiers? Then that would be a no go for me. How do I realize a 5.0 or 5.1 with Atmos? Thank you!
Can you help me as to why the avr does not respond to the remote control? I connected my HTPC to HDMI 1. Then HDMI eARC to my LG OLED eARC HDMI. The picture is on the TV. But the AVR: No signal. And nothing respond to my remote control. I try AMP/AV button several times, the green led light on some second, then nothing happen. Thank you
Primare´s engineer Bent Nielsen, and his unique industry leading experience and sound signature, is what you should pay for in Primare products. I can extend that to also including built-in DACs and/or other analogue components/peripherals that are for the immediate and integrated crucial 2-channel listening. As soon as Primare need to need to keep up with all the AV-format updates in the industry, including audio-streaming platforms, they quickly tend to fall back in the line feature/pricewise.
Hey Man, Excellent work on the video. LOVE the minimalist aesthetic of the front panel. It looks like one could amp out the center channel along with the mains? I have some awesome three channel amps! 😎
$6500 with HDMI 2.0b and limited bandwidth Dirac? No thanks. This is like buying a Lamborghini Huracán with carburetors. The Onkyo RZ-50 at full retail is $1500 and the RZ-70 is $2700, both include Full Bandwidth Dirac Live, the 70 has Dirac bass control available as a paid upgrade, and they both have HDMI 2.1 with all the bells and whistles that come with that. To each their own, but I have serious doubts that it sounds ~$3k to $5k better than the RZ-70 and RZ-50 respectively.
Your review was great with a lot of details and specifications on this receiver so I thankyou for that but sorry I will not pay 6,000 dollars in a receiver that even is not a processor , doesn't have Auro-3D, DTS:X-PRO , IMAX Enhanced, not in built own calibration software , for 4,600 dollars you can get instead the Denon AVR-X8500HA 13.2 Ch. 150W 8K AV Receiver or the Marantz Cinema 30 11.4 channels , sorry but this product lack of too many features to justify his high price
Hi, thanks for watching! It does have built in Dirac which is very good. This is the list of formats: o Dolby Atmos o Dolby Digital o Dolby Plus o Dolby Prologic IIx o Dolby Surround o Dolby TrueHD o DTS X o DTS o DTS ES o DTS Neo:6 o DTS HDMaster Audio o DTS HD High-Res Audio o MULTI/2 CH PCM/LPCM DTSX Pro is mostly useful for channel counts above 11, so it doesn't make a ton of sense for this AVR. Auro 3D would be a good add, but it is used very very little in practical application. The unit did a wonderful job of powering my 7.2.4 theater. I was very impressed. Please click the subscribe button if you have a chance!
@@JilesMcCoy thanks Already subscribe , if you like it and the performance justify the 6000 us dollars you paid you're more than welcome to enjoy this receiver but even the ONKYO 11.2-Channel AV Receiver TX-RZ70 brand new on Amazon for just 1999 is a monster receiver and also have Dirac Live in built for free 😎
Very good review thanks, this make me confortable to buy this equipment for my next set up
They did an excellent job with this unit. The only thing I would change is the addition of 2 more channels of amplification.

Hi, you can see in my set up I added 2 additional channels of amplification to max the unit out.

Remote worked fine on my unit. You do have to make sure you have it set correctly though.

Their gear is so nice!

You could for sure! This is a really cool AVR!
@@JilesMcCoy That is awesome! The LCR is what I like to amp out. You have been covering some awesome gear. Thank You!
How would you rate the SQ of the primare vs Marantz Cinema 30?
They are both excellent.

@@JilesMcCoy Hey! Thank you for your review! How do you feel Onkyo RZ70 compare SPA25? My primary is stereo music, secondary 5.1. Thank you!
Only $6000? Give me two! However, I have no spa to use this in.
Spa is extra.
