Gamaliel said if the Christians are not from God it won’t withstand, if they are from God we will be combating God itself as you have mentioned. So, two thousand years have passed since...
There is a pretty convincing argument which says that Josephus got the date of the census wrong and that Luke got it right. It's kind of complicated, and was put forth in an academic paper. Seems pretty convincing from my view.
"If you ever meet Yeshua, you will know him. While he is nothing but a man, there is something about him that distinguishes him from every other man. He is tall & his shoulders are a little drooped. His visage is thin & of a swarthy complexion, though this is from exposure. His eyes are large & a soft blue - rather dull & heavy... This Nazarite is convinced that he is the Messiah of the world." (-Gamaliel).
simon/Judas of Gemala = st. Peter = Pilate = Quirinius = Seneca Jr. (minor). If there was a gemaliel the elder then logically this was : Seneca Sr. (maior). Simon bar jonah = simon successor of john (the baptizer) = Hud = Harun = Aaron = Jair = Cephas = Caiaphas. Hilel = John the baptist = theudas = bar kamtza = nero julius ceasar = junias = barnabbas = ben pandera. (John & James are sons of zebedee = Paul) Shammai the younger = James the less = Stephanos = drusus j.c.= andronicus = silas. Shammai = James the Just = Paul = Germanicus = Cornelius = Kamtza = dhul qarnain = saleh = Imran = zachery barachai = Klopas = Benedictus = Calimero = Helios (Heli) = Elias = Elymas = the egyptian = agabus = augustus = aga khan = pandera = deceiver/pander.

Where can I find Gamileal views and teachings on the law?
They are scattered throughout the Mishnah. I'm sure someone has collected them.

Seneca aka gemaliel
All the simons are the same simon thus s. magnus is s. of galilee (for example)

I believe in that same writing, Gamaliel says that he does indeed think this Jesus of Nazareth is THE Messiah. This was before Jesus crucifixion.
