Mind Loop is an intriguing title, but not as intriguing as the composition is! Terrific and fully satisfying musical treat, my friend! Bravo! Brilliant!
My new favorite Gattobus song! ❤! Hell, I gave it a thumbs up just for the awesome drone alone! :-) "It's likes potatoes chips. I can't stops listenings to it." -Skwisgaar Skwigelf
This is a beautiful piece but I'm also really impressed that it was done in a single take on the Syntrx. It would be really interesting to have a breakdown of the technical details of what's going on here in terms of patching and control to generate the simultaneous drone, percussive bass, and melodic line.
Thank you for these. I'm trying to buy a synth. Something that will incorporate well into some vibey music I want to make (with guitar and vocals). I've been very interested in this synth. The history of the Synthi is well known. I looked forever to find a video that showed someone just playing it with a keyboard. Just making a song. There's so many demos of people making experimental noise, and more power to them, but I just wanted to hear something musical. I've been subscribed to you for a long time now. I should have thought to look here. Big thumbs up!
yo! Gattobus never fails to impress but more importantly I find myself so drawn into the beauty of the multi-layered sound I'm not actually even thinking in a judgemental way. That is not a Roland Fantom or JDxA (I feel like the JDxA could get quite close. With a stereo analog chorus),
The clickussion sounds exactly like the "drums" I get with trigger bleed from an atypical and hot trigger input into my Sherman Filterbank. Free drums in sync with my other gear!
It's amazing. In simplicity, in its sound. I get shivers down the spine, as you achieved perfection here. May I ask, what was your trick to have the SYNTRX play duophonic via MIDI? I was under the impression that the SYNTRX was monophonic.
Such a beautiful song and the performance ❤
I really like those ticking percussion sounds.
First time I've ever heard anyone make anything melodic with Syntrx.
well I got a couple of other songs I made with it on my channel ;)
That Korg Oscilloscope is dope

Very very nice ... the syntrx sounds so lush.. great work
Good composition 👍

Most beautiful soundscape with Syntrx on YT!
Finally someone shows that different level "pins" can be used in the matrix. You can hear it immediately on the slightly finer sound.
Beautiful, really enjoyed that. As others pointed out, the click/pulse percussion is really great too.
Thank you Alex! It means a lot to me! 🙏
Very beautiful...
This is the first video I have seen of proper and beautiful music played on SYNTRX. Wonderful!
yes, but you can do this sound with a virtually any cheap synth
Lovely and moody!
Thanks! Very moving track and killer Casio!
Awesome and pleasant to here ❤
Una composición impresionante, es entendible el sentimiento que emite el tema por el año en que se compuso.
Goosebumps.
Can't stop listening to this. Out of this world. It makes me want to make music again.
I love your music Gattobus. I hope someday I'll be as well versed in synthesis as you are!
Fantastic :)
welcome back! great song!
Good one!
Meravigliosa
Fantastic piece of music!
Nice one!
Beautiful!
I love it so much! so simple, yet hauntingly beautiful and deep
amazing
You are a genius, Sir.
LOL too kind!
@@gattobus The truth 🙂
Whoa, that melody is haunting and so fucking lovely
great sounds G! I feel some Telefon Tel Aviv vibes...(also bit of Boards of Canada)
Just lovely. Where can I get the song?

@@gattobus just bought!!
Wonderful music dude,Im from HWJ,i think you may have been a member many moons ago, been lovin your music for a while now
Inspiring man! Sounds great 🔥
Interested as to the feelings this give you. For me, there is a slight sadness, it takes me back to a different time.
well, there is restlessness, melancholy, failed expectations but also determination, self-awareness and strength...

Yep I have a syntrx and would really love to get some education from Gattobus, everything he does with it is fantastic.

That is nice. You think you could do another Medusa Polyend vid? Thought id ask.
Wow, great stuff. I have all the same gear and none of the talent
Nice progression from clean waves to more buzzy harmonics.

Beautiful ! may I know how you make the paraphonic control on keystep?
Keystep is connected to Kilpatrik Carbon which is splitting the CV signal to Syntrx input 1 and 2.

I used Kilpatrick Carbon to split midi messages coming from the keystep and send them separately to the syntrx cv inputs.
@@gattobus The CV inputs! Thanks for your swift answer. Now following your channel!
Lovely stuff. Where did you get the alternative knobs?
Massive talent! But how? Syntrx is monophonic yes? Did I miss anything? I only use it for meditation drone 😅
using the 2 CV inputs you can control the oscillators independently.
@@gattobus did you use a midi to cv converter with a lowest note priority? 🤔
@@rossbeaton exactly, I'm using Kilpatrick Carbon as midi cv converter
I've been going frame by frame trying to get even in the ballpark of this patch... any chance of an explanation/tutorial?
