This doesn't work any more. You get as far as All apps and then you can't open Android Set Up. In fact you can't open anything on the apps list. You need to update this video and say it no longer works. Thanks
it doesn't work completely. the colored icons on the left do not appear in settings. There are only black and white ones on the right. I only see the internet section, no options on the left
I found a solution: just type “open apps settings” directly into the assistant. After you disable everything according to the guide, go back to the assistant and type “open accessibility settings” and then follow the guide. I also encountered a problem when closing the assistant - so I used the accessibility menu to open it, thus overriding the previous one, and this new one managed to close alright.

@@b-masaa I don't think it is possible any more. So no I never fixed it. Apparently geek squad at Best Buy can fix it, but I've no idea of the cost

@valofey I can get to the apps this way but when I click on the apps to disable the screen is just blank
