  • Sorry for the long break in this series.... But work has restarted on the fire damaged Genie Telehandler!
    The cab has been exposed to the environment for years, and is overdue for a deep cleaning! I removal all the panels in the cab and clean. I also pull apart the fuse and switch panel for a deep cleaning too. Follow along as I scrub smoke, soot, and desert dust out of all the nooks and crannies.

    Most manufacturers use 99% isopropyl alcohol (which is also known as Technical Grade IPA) to do the final clean and rinse of electronic parts. It won't rust the parts and won't leave a corrosive residue. Also, they use distilled water, not tap water, so the parts aren't contaminated with dissolved minerals (which is what causes water spots even if you blow dry the parts).

      @@bruceadler-9410 I also remembered that this was right at the beginning of the pandemic and everyone was on lockdown. I think they turned out pretty great considering what I had to work with.
