  • Arbitrary waveform generators can generate almost any waveshape. In this video, see how the MP750290 from Multicomp Pro performs. Its key specs are 160 MHz, 14-bit 1.25 Gigasample per second digital-to-analog converter, 1 million point memory, and over 150 built-in waveforms. Can you generate anything more than 10 Vpp?

First time I've seen the wrong video for the correct title from you lol.

I very much enjoyed watching both of them and I guess most people felt the same. Stuff happens :P

While everyone shoes you how to make a waveform on said generators and show them on oscilloscope, nobody tells you for what you actually use it as an application?

It's only for people that wanna make waves. Raise your hand.

say you wanted to build an oscilloscope, you need to test it.
same idea if you have a circuit that you want to test with some input you can use the arb to generate that input instead of needing a "real" source for it.
those modulations he was talking about are ways you can basically use this to make a radio.

Scope videos are really similar. Many which show how to "use" the scope, but not in a practical real-world sense.

Ummm.... Measuring a 160 MHz signal with a 100 MHz scope... Ummm?
