Dominique Pelicot, the 71-year-old man accused of drugging his wife to sleep and recruiting dozens of men to abuse her for over 10 years, has admitted to all the charges against him in his first testimony since the trial opened on 2 September.
Referring to the 50 co-defendants who are accused of raping his now ex-wife Gisèle Pelicot, Pelicot said: "I am a rapist like the others in this room."
Although no cameras are allowed in court, the trial is open to the public at the request of Gisèle, who waived her right to anonymity at the beginning of the proceedings.
Her legal team said opening up the trial would shift the "shame" back on to the accused.

I didn’t watch the whole video, but I wish I knew if she had been aware of these multiple interactions that she had with other men over the years. If she was aware that this has happened multiple times, then there is no reason for the men to be charged. because she would’ve had every opportunity to leave her husband and stop this from happening. But, did he secretly drug her many times and she never knew about any of it? That’s a different story.

Yes, he secretly drugged her by crushing pills into her food and drinks. As a side effect of the drugging she and her family believed she was developing Alzheimer's. She also went to the gynecologist because of the physical effects to her body.

I’ve read a fair number of stories where a husband and wife get off on this kind of thing and she will take some kind of sedative or drugs to calm herself, but if she is unwittingly being drugged, then most definitely it is not only rape, but it is assault by her husband as well.

Her husband was taken in by police for taking ‘up the skirt’ pictures if strangers in pubic. They seized his laptop or phone. They found loads of footage of these men raping the man’s wife had been recorded. She didn’t know. She had been to the doctors for a host of problems apparently infections etc. but she didn’t know what was being done to her until the police told her.
