Granite Mountain and Brown's Ranch Trailheads

The Brown's Ranch Trailhead and the connection to the North Area's Granite Mountain Trailhead is at 136th Street and Lone Mountain Parkway. Climb up to the summit of Brown's Mountain and see for yourself the remnants of Brown's Ranch. Cowboys rode herds of cattle in the area between 1917 and the 1960s. Hikers and mountain bikers will find this area a challenge. The trailhead features parking for 200 vehicles, and an additional 24 spots for horse trailers. Drinking water, restrooms, an educational area and amphitheater are located at the trailhead.
