Great overview Ethan! For anyone that is curious we will have the 600mah 3S G2 lipos in stock in a few months. BUT we do have a non-smart version coming very soon to fill the gap.
Is the heli meant to keep altitude when in safe?.. mine wants to land and I have to keep nudging the throttle upwards to keep it back up in the air. If I bring the throttle down, the heli wants to land faster instead of gradually floating down almost as if there is a downward thrust. Why is this happening? This is happening on both the 180 infusion and 150s that I have right out of the box.
Good morning. it flies very well except for one rather annoying thing, when it turns to the left, it drifts backwards at the same time and therefore loses the habit, this happens every time I steer to the left. If I steer to the right, no problem, the helicopter remains parallel to the ground, perfect for me. I did a calibration but it didn't change anything, maybe it could come with the advanced program but I don't know where to adjust yes a channel is incorrectly adjusted? I have activated stabilized mode. My radio and the Spectrum DX6e. Thanks in advance.
I have an OMP M2 with direct drive and it is great, this one should be as well. May have to add one of these to the fleet as I do like Blade's SAFE mode and controller setup.
your OMP M2 its 6G that is safe mode?… I like the helicopter but they're a little pricey. And then you got the blade infusion which you purely paying for the brand-name. Be happy with what you have will be a better helicopter than the blade
Cool video dude! Nice capable 180 size helicopter. Good option and I notice that the servos are not exposed so they won’t take a hit. The servos able to rotate may be another great servo feature. Now Blade really has all the options the market offers at the moment.
I like how the motors look ,,and I know they came along way on them ,,I haven't had a motor or nano lite servo failure that wasn't my own fault, they last forever.,,what's going to sell me on this one is the flight times..I have some three cells already,,as soon as I see it at my local hh, I will pick it up..and enjoy!
I tried every setting possible with the tail rotor in foreword programing. I'm very frustrated. It kicks out on mode 1 and 2. The best I could do was get it down to just barely shaking but thats not good enuff. I'm now thinking the tail motor is to weak. It screeches sometimes also. Thinking I should have bought the proven OMP 2 Anyone have any good PID'S I can try. 15 Battery packs through it and still not tuned :(
Same.... sorry to here but glad I'm not alone.. WTF bro! I'm pretty sure no PIDS will help.. it's vibration! I am going to try some different mounting tape. So disappointed 300 mother effing doll hairs
Has Blade beefed up the canopy mounting pegs for this design? I got a 120 SR for my dad and first flight broke one of the canopy pegs off the frame (landed in snow). Gorilla glue is our new peg 🤨. Edit: I see now, in the video close up, looks like the only canopy pegs (just 2, correct?) are the thicker variety. Good.
Ethan, I just got mine yesterday and i am getting some shaking looks in my main head it does it every now and then in stunt mode 1 but i cant even go above 80% throttle curves for stunt 2 without it doing it so bad the tail is even moving all over the place.. Can you give me any advice on what to adjust on the PID settings? also how loose are the main blades on this one? out of the box they felt way to loose so i tightened them but then felt the shakes so i loosening them back up but maybe needs to be even looser? feels pretty loose now. Thanks for any advice. it fly pretty nice in stunt 1 at like 80%
@@N8904V Mine is pretty smooth at those times. Just when flying flying switch to stunt 2. It goes crazy shacking and tail goes crazy I am guessing cause of the rest of the heli being so wobbly.
@@epoweredrc Mine is doing the same thing. Several other people also. Would be nice if Ethan would put a video up on the proper PID Settings for the tail rotor. I asked him but no response. I should have waited to see the reviews before I bought it :( Great heli if it flew correctly

My first heli was the Blade CP. New comers are lucky to have this 180.
Love your camera angles showing the part numbers of the motors and electronics. Not many youtubers do the camera angles as well as this.
great vid. i think i may have to pick one of these up. i like the second camera on the transmitter.
Awesome flying Ethan!
So why is it twice the price of other 180s with the same setup but with all metal; head, grips and swash?

Awesome video! I'm looking for a first heli for my Son. After watching your video, I'm thinking my old CX-2 isn't going to cut it.
Is the belt driven tail better than one without ?
So for my first Heli you would recommend this one? I want something I can learn with and progress as I get better. Thanks for the help.
Does the Blade 180CFX come with a gyro and if it comes with one will it still hook up to a new transmitter and receiver thanks
Stuff is always out of stock in the UK, fusion 360 has been unavailable for about a year, they only seem to get them briefly in the summer.
Nice Heli and thank for review
