Hey, I am running into an issue with my Betsy Johnson Backpack, I need to wash the entire outside. It is a white bag with neon the dye all over. It has white straps and gold hardware (zippers, strap adjusters) the bag DOES NOT HAVE A CARE INSTRUCTION LABEL AND IM LOST ON HOW TO PROCEED... I DONT WANT TO DAMAGE MY BAG PLEASE HELP. THE BODY IS 100% polyester and the trim is 100% pvc.
Put it in the washing machine on COLD and the most gentle cycle you can find. Then air dry it. DO NOT put it in the dryer or in too much heat or that might warp the pvc. Hope this helps. The zippers should be fine as long as they’re left to dry properly. My mom has put plenty of backpacks in the wash multiple times growing up for the school year and the zippers held up perfectly okay as long as they weren’t extremely cheap.
