Boy names are so limited. it’s so hard to find boy names that someone you know don’t have. 😩😂

All of the names we recommended they had a friend or family member with that name.
The struggle is so real when it comes to names reminding you of people. When we were naming our son we realized how many names we couldn't use because we associate the name with people. 😂 Super cute name suggestions though. 💙

Pretty sure my favorite quote for this video was, "I must wait him to wear fine leather goods " I relate to the struggle of finding names you both like that you don't have associations with. My mom wasn't named for 3 days. They waited until she was fully cleared to go home because they needed to pick before they could take her home

Aww, my 7 month old’s name is Everett. 🥰 And if you think name associations are bad for you, try being a teacher. So many names you can’t use because it reminds you of past students and spoiler alert: it’s never the good ones. 😆 My husband was so frustrated at times! We had the HARDEST time agreeing on names, but Everett was always our highest contender and it stuck. Can’t wait to hear what you guys landed on!
I don’t get this association mentality, it’s so infuriating when my husband dismisses names because he associates them with a famous person/ brand/ someone from his childhood. I’ve been a schoolteacher for 16 years and the naughtiest kid I ever had is still one of my top names. Unless you have a name that you completely make up, which is kinda stupid, then someone will have had it before. Just be open minded.
we like unique names/names that no one has. my sons name is Laden (pronounced like lay-den)!

We had that when we were picking our children as we had both been married before. We didn’t name our children the same as anyone else.
I really love short one syllable boys’ names, so my husband and I are trying to decide between either Jack or Dean if we’re having a boy. Short and sweet!
PS also love Christian’s middle name, Theodore nn Theo was a top contender for us as well!
Dean is wonderful and not as used as Jack. I cant get it passed the family but it's a good, strong name that is a romantic/sexy name for a grown up son. Go for it!!

I love the names Sawyer, Elliott, Ezekiel, Israel, Silas, and Spencer for boys.
For girls I love Sawyer, Pepper, Clea, Loralie, Isla and Drew. I have twins One of each Gender: Jose Emanuel after his father (but flipped) and Thea Aurora after my mom’s name through meaning.
Im due with a baby boy next month and we've had his name picked from very early on and his first and middle name were in this video!
My boyfriend (sitting next to me) is Patrick Jr. So that really made me laugh. Before it got uber popular everyone thought it was weird but my Grandads name (born in 1912) was Axel Elliott . All these names are so popular now for babies I don't have any friends with these names.

I love the names Freddie and Harris/Harrison but my teacher was called Fredrick Harris and I don’t think I’d be able to use both without constantly thinking about him. He was my favourite teacher though so it wouldn’t be that weird.

Totally! That’s how we were with the name Christian - like obviously other people have used that name before but we love it so we still went with it. 😂🤷🏼♀️ I’m just trying not to use the same names as some of my friends since our kids are all around the same ages - just a personal preference!!
