- Aerial drone flying over Rockhampton in Queensland, Australia overlooking the Fitzroy River really brought out the beautiful mountains on the other side. Beautiful city full of exotic birds :)

I love to drive throughout the world whether on the right or left with either left-hand steering or right-hand steering and of course I have become accustomed to using a stick-shift with both hands :) I truly enjoy the great food and discussions with locals where I have been blessed to travel. Included on this channel are some driving and snorkeling videos and even a couple bike rides I recorded.
You can also see my beginning drone videos looking at 2016 dates when I filmed in safe nature areas. I practiced how to crash safely, how to fly with three propellers and how to ground the drone and drive to it. I practiced in snow, rain and extreme cold to make sure I understood the drones limitations before I went to the big cities. I handle a drone like I do a gun and I truly hope others do the same.

What a mighty river the Fitzroy is!
You are the first to mention this great river, home to exotic birds, crocodiles, sharks and more people in boats than I have every seen. Truly a paradise area that helped to build this great city thanks to the Coral Sea. Truly another part of God's Country so many will never enjoy without the internet. You should also see the Rupert River when you have time.
Almost as good as the Murray, Darling, Tamar and Derwent.

Nice video, but you made this at a good time bcos usually the Fitzroy River isn't that nice blue colour.

What is the story about the crocodiles? Can you use the beach or are you taking your life into your hands?
I will let someone local answer this. I never found one even on my dirt road drives in the north where they are larger numbers.
Wouldn’t swim in the river although it is used for skiing and boating on the fresh side.
Beach swimming around Yeppoon is perfectly fine as far as crocs go.

Unfortunately operating a drone in controlled airspace is a now a no no. The shots here are within 5 km of the Rockhampton airport and is now a no fly zone for drones as it is controlled airspace. Maybe toy drones under a certain weight may be allowed but as soon as an aircraft is sighted the drone must be landed on the ground and wait for the aircraft to clear the area.
Truly sad. In the states our FAA opened up in these restricted areas to a safe night. Today I was allowed to fly in a city up to 200’ that two years ago I was afraid to fly with the warnings. As you see in my videos I rarely go over 150’ unless buildings are taller and I stay lower than their antennas etc. Hopefully this catches on in other countries. It is a no brained when the runway does not go perpendicular to wear we want to film. Goo luck😎 Happy you found my travel channel with over 1,000 videos from around the world.
