I had the extreme surprise and pleasure to see Stanley open for Bill Cosby in Bethlehem PA Late ‘80s As a guitarist I’ve heard of him but had no idea he would be performing that night It’s ridiculous how the guitar community turned their backs on such amazing talent Many claiming “he’s just playing piano on a guitar” Crazy mentality This man was and is shear genius And many of his techniques are in use today with no credit going to the man himself
Thank you! I remember that show. That period has some very special memories for me. We used to fly to the gigs in his private plane, and one night Bill had a particularly good show and in the plane he was still on a roll. It was hilarious but I remember thinking it's too bad it's just me here. He needs someone who can actually keep up with him! 😂
Regarding my public profile-it was really high for a while there, but then I spent way more time and energy on research and development than on marketing. That's what truly brought me joy and gave me a sense of purpose. At any rate, after many years of that, I feel like today I have much more to offer. In many ways I feel like I'm still just getting started. I guess we'll see what the future holds...
