The first time I heard this band's music was on this channel. Thank you Lee for turning me on to this band. The more I listen the more I appreciate their music. It definitely gets me motivated. It's one of my go-to bands when I'm working on a project in my little wood shop. These girls are BAD ASS musicians🌋. Just picture someone in their 60s with these tunes while working around at home. Thanks again Lee for opening up my mind and ears to this band
Dude they really are. I am so glad I actually listened to them. All it took was one song 🤣 and I was hooked. And that song turned out to be their "first" hit Thrill. And I'm never looking back 😊🤷♂️🤣
This album is worthy of being among the best of the greatest bands in rock history. I don't remember who said that Band-Maid was a Prog-metal band but it's difficult to put this band in a box because they can do everything, including incorporating Blues, Jazz or Funk.
“World Domination,” in my humble opinion, is Band Maid’s “Back in Black.” A reinvention, course change, watershed album. The sheer number of quality tracks, absolutely incredible songs. “FATE” and “Clang” have live performances worth checking out. Yes, Miku gets one lead vocal track on each album. “Rock in me” has become quite the fun, popular song for Okyu-ji. And Kanami’s solo on “FATE” is one of my all time favorites. Rarely gets the attention it deserves
Mike that is such a cool comparison. Even the cover is just a black BAND-MAID logo that seems stylized. I can't wait to finish it! This has been amazing so far.
'i can't live without you' is a straight, balls to the walls, relentless energy kind of song that punches through and doesn't ask for validation. my first intentional listening was with 'domination', but this is mad and frantic ballad has never left my personal playlist. among fans that frequent in reddit, there had been discussions in the past as to what is the quintessential band-maid song. some say ''thrill', dice' while others 'moratorium', 'domination', 'blooming', 'choose me' and even 'daydreaming'. for me it's this first track of world domination. hands down, this carries the sound and vision of the 810-year-old pigeon.
Each flower shall wither Each human being shall wither Nothing is eternal Don’t fall into that trap The clock of life is ticking But until then, don’t stop fighter (Saiki in "Play")
Gotta keep on pushing no matter what... time is built against us. We must love and enjoy the people and moments we cherish while we can because it can go so quick...
@@L33Reacts The philosophical mind behind it all is Miku, the Kobato, the Little Pigeon, Po-san. I sincerely consider her to be one of the deepest philosophers of our time. Saiki started writing some lyrics only recently. I think her first attempt at writing was Corallium. The second song she wrote lyrics for was HATE? The rumour goes that she wrote that song after hearing the story of a boyfriend cheating on LiSA, her close friend and a very famous Japanese singer. HATE? is really like a flame-thrower, I would not wish to be the man at whom her rage is directed. I think if he ever heard that song, he should have been incinerated on the spot.
Miku is the philosophical mind behind all of the lyrics?? Shit my bad I had no idea... yall probably told me but I forgot my apologies. Her works are quite profound... I must read more of her lyrics now. Thank you vlad
Continuing to enjoy your fantastic combination of current favorite Band-Maid and the older prog stuff I will always love. Like the Lamb - awaiting side C with interest. When you're ready for a new classic prog album, I'm going to recommend Galactic Zoo Dossier by Arthur Brown's Kingdom Come. It's another one that needs to be played all together - at least an album side's worth.
Straight forward rock & roll in your face from the beginning to the end. Every LP is one step beyond for the ladies. This one was more aggressive than Just Bring It. Conqueror shows their mellow side and Unseen World and Unleash... well, some rockets burn less energy.
Dude your not kidding this is balls to the wall all killer no filler. I love it. This is a lesser known side of maid to me and I'm totally enjoying soaking this up. They rock so hard.
You: I don’t think I’ve done this one… Me: he’ll remember once we get to “Hello, hello, hello” Band maid hits chorus You: of course I’ve done this one. Band Maid, unforgettable choruses for daaaaays. ;)
Terrific album. For an odd reason I always think of Led Zeppelin 4 as a comparative album. Overall this is still my favorite Band Maid album overall. Of course I own a hard copy of this.
@@L33Reacts l was thinking specifically of the really hard rock songs. I wish they could do something reminiscent of Zep III which is actually my favorite Zeppelin album. Whatever they do I know I'm going to like it.
They play Play differently live. Esp. vocal part. Saiki comes in semi-tone lower? in the intro. I initially thought that she was just singing out of tune, but she's been doing it the same way over a couple of years and sounds cool the way it is.
There are 2-3 versions of Play live. 2 are pretty easy to find. Live at Line Cube Tokyo is on their official page. Live at Zepp Tokyo usually all over UA-cam, just not officially.
On another subject. Did I just spot the CD Spotlight Kid by the Captain, behind you. Try the album Clear Spot- the track Big Eyed Beans From Venus- just a crazy genius. Great that you are not afraid to play long reactions. This is their most important album- The transition from the early material to now. Love your UK prog reactions too. Miku usually gets one solo song on each album.
Hey graham! Good to see you bro! You sure do. I'm actually planning to do a song from him this week! And nope! There's not one cut in this whole video 🤣 if my computer allowed me I'd do the full album in one sitting. I need to buy a hard drive so I can empty my laptop and then I could totally do full albums. Lol UK rocks!
Do you know “Unlucky Morpheus”? Similar style, but mixed cast. "Black Pentagram", "Knight of Sword", "Assailant", or "The Tower of Blood" would be a few suggestions. It doesn't matter whether it's live or an official video... everything is breathtaking.

Absolutely ❤️ vlad is an absolute stand up human being. I aspire to be more like him.
You're diggin into the Band maid world..👌👌👌

Rock In Me has been played on repeat in my car a few times. One of the first songs I've heard from them.
🤘🤘🤘

@@VladimirChupin Hi Wladimir. I believe Saiki is associated with Miku for the lyrics of Yuragu and Alone. Can you confirm this? Thanks.
Thanks, Lee!
You rock bro thank you so much! 🙏 😢
This is one of those songs where you can tell that her Mesa amp was cranked as far as it possibly could go. That punchy tone....
Saiki also killed with singing ❤
Yes she did. She can sing as fast as kanami playing the guitar it seems like lol I love it!
Love World Domination. Complete opposite of Thick as a Brick but both are classics. Peace. 7.1
Fun fact about “Play” is it was initially an instrumental. But Saiki liked it so much she asked for lyrics to be added.
Dude that would have been a sick ass instrumental... but as usual saiki killed it lol
@@L33Reacts I guess Kanami was surprised by Saiki wanting lyrics. But yes….yes she did!

Houses of the holy reminds me of one or two songs so far on this album...so that's funny to me that you just mentioned LZ IV.

I've done a live version of domination and dice... but that's it. Ill have to check out the rest too . Thank you!
