It was so hard finding a resource that explains this so clearly and well. I was wondering why my instrumentals would sound so low when bouncing midi in place to make sure the session doesn’t system over load. Very big help for workflow and performance! Thanks!
So clear. Thank you. Wanted to bounce in place an entire song; so, I selected the whole song and followed your instructions. Perfect and fast! The control-click tip is the way to go!
Jono I LOVE your videos - they take a single topic and dive deep into it which is sooooo useful since I hear my self saying "Wow, I did not know you could do that...". Thank you.
Absolutely awesome. Completely found out my problem as to why my original midi's were muted after bouncing them to audio. All I had to do was look before I leaped and pressed ok. lol Thanks again man, love your videos.
great. Thank you so much. On the way we learned how it is possible to use the fader - even after automation. Just click "include automation" at the bottom of the window that popps up for bounce in place.... and the automation is included and you can use the fader again if the track is two hot in total and you want a volume change for the whole track. So thank you
@@MusicTechOfficial It would be awesome for Jono to take us through real time automation in logic - i.e. CC1 and CC11 - drawing it in in real time... I don't see you that guys have done that yet -- if so, please point me in the right direction! Cheers!
the split on video was GREAT idea. I ask how to bounce from midi when i recorded from an external midi instrument? The track only allows playback, and when the epiano is on, nothing else. I tried a intern audio capture but does not work cause the epiano is the source of sound, and the track just gives information for the epiano play it, but doesnt play nothing alone.
Question...I have a mono vocal audio track and when I bounce in place in converts it into a stereo file...how can I bounce a mono track into a new mono track?...Great as always thanks...Joe from Staten Island

Did that last bounce add a track with the reverb plugin, or did it produce a file post-effect(on a track with no plugin)? I want to bounce a region with a delay effect, but i don't want a new track with the plugin.
If I want to share a logic project to a collaborator but he doesn’t have the plug ins I used and I want him to hear my tracks with the plug ins I used is bouncing in place how I would go about that?
thank you for this video! I'm a singer/songwriter trying to learn production and export, so this really helps! In case i use my midi keyboard and add another vocal track, (just one), do i need to bounce the midi into audio before making my final export for youtube/instagram? or can i just leave it as midi since it all turns into mp3 anyway
Hi Jono,Might you suggest a way to bounce an audio track(guitar overdub) or several in mono? can't find a way to do that as I'm sending just my guitar parts to a client. Thanks!
I’ve used bounce in place on a few audio tracks but it’s flatlined my entire project (I can’t hear anything at all now even the ones I didn’t bounce in place)? Is this reversible ?
whenever i bounce something, it clips at the start and end of the track no matter how much compression i use, do you know how to fix this its very annoying
is there really no way to strecht a midi section? This would be so important when composing via score. Unless the audio to midi covertion gets better and more accurate
As long as there is sound coming through the channel, it should still work. You may just have to create an empty region on the track and then bounce that. Let us know how you get on!
@@MusicTechOfficial I worked it out. The solution for me involved setting up the IAC Driver to a Bus and the duplicating the midi track set up via Utility>External Instrument. Also, there needs to be actual midi data on the first track, even a single held note.
Tis tutorials are so professional- clear and concise- THANKS

Brilliant Jono, yet again I now have the know how to try out some very interesting features, thank you so much

Thank you Jono - inspirational and informative as always!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hey Jono, any chance with some tuition recording live vocals and how effects and compression can be used to better them?
Awesome video! Any idea why my pitch correction plug in specifically won't print on to my bounce in place? Other plug ins, like reverb do....
Great stuff! Just what I needed, thanks!
Thank you, you are an amazing teacher!

Got the same issue. Any idea anyone?
What an excellent channel and teacher; respect.

What volume level should the instrument plugin be, before we bounce? Or is it safe to use a VU meter towards (-18) before bouncing in place?
Super explanation.

If you don't have the command visible anywhere, go to Preferences > Advanced Tools > Show Advanced Tools.
Super helpful, thanks!!
great info, thanks!

How do you unmute the track?
Simple and instruktive. Thanks a lot.
Glad it was helpful!
This is CLEAN.
Thanks. Great video. Is there a way to un-mute the original track once I've done it this way? I can't seem to find a way.
It should just be a case of selecting the region and hitting the mute region key command (M or Cmd+M by default)
@@MusicTechOfficial Thanks for your help and the great tutorial.
your content is so good that i tolarate the music examples ;)

That's strange. The level clips? Are you leaving any silence at the start and finish?
me too...
think I just found a solution, bounce an at least 8bars midi region
is there really no way to strecht a midi section? This would be so important when composing via score. Unless the audio to midi covertion gets better and more accurate
thx
thank you!
This is really profi youtubing, not click bait
How does this work with midi plugin effects like Stochas or Blue Arp where the is no actual midi notes?

How do you bounce an audio region with space at the beginning. Like If I wanted 1 bar of blank audio prior. Thanks
