- Loops are great, but to make them fit your track, you may need to cut them up and re-order their constituent parts. In this video, MusicTech expert Jono Buchanan shows you how to use fade tools in Logic Pro X to avoid clicks and match ambiences when cutting up loops. Also, learn how to combine two samples to create sounds that morph over time.

Thank you, excellent, creative and inspiring way to learn to use fades on Logic.
watched a few of these MusicTech shorts now and realised I recognised Jono from the logic pro x masterclass he delivered at Goldsmiths uni. Honestly think you're one of the best teachers on youtube. Absolutely brilliant mate

Great video Jono - thanks! -- One question. Once you set the type of crossfade in the panel on the left - will that be the type of fade that is used if you use the fade tool?
Subscribed mate! I notice you have a second monitor in the back. Do you typically use that for the mixer window or something else? I am interested in getting a second monitor and wanted to know what my display options were. Have a great weekend!
Hey jono! Thanks for all the great advice. I have this weird issue where when I use the fade tool and drag on an audio file, nothing happens. It kind of just looks like I dragged the marque tool over it then nothing gets changed. If anyone has any help I’d appreciate it!
nice job

U R amazing
Can ya touch on batch fades?
Anyone know I don't have any fade options on the left hand side under region. All it has is delay!!
I've been using LP9 and LPX for 12 years and suddenly my fade tool does nothing! I draw a fade at the end of an audio clip/region and it graphically displays on the clip (in the arrange window) as being there (it even shows up in the inspector) bu the audio clip doesn't fade in or out. I guess my crossfades aren't working either, what's the deal?
