Better than most Europeans. Don't worry only geography "nerds" (I consider myself as one) know the flags of every single state, like the micro-states (Liechtenstein, San Marino, Andorra...). You know reasonably enough.

As a European I would say you did alright.
The ones I usually struggle with are Poland/Monaco, Slovakia/Slovenia and Moldova/Andorra. They are very similar to me.
Eagles are always coming from the east (for solving the problem about Moldova and Serbia).
Poland they shed their blood in WW2 and went down to the bottom of their flag. Remember these two stories and confusion will be gone forever.
As Giovannia says, the important thing is to have mnemonics.
I have some in common, the land of Poland is still soaked in the blood of WWII, while in Monaco it is the Mediterranean sky which ignites red at eveningfall.
On the flag of Slovenia, the mountains are pointed, like the N of SloveNia, while in Slovakia they are round, this one is easiest in French, we write Slova'q'uie, but if you think "SlovaQueen" that works, I have one like that based on a mouse for Missouri, but it only works in French...
In Moldova, the cow is serene, she is protected by an eagle, "she grazes on her little flower", in Andorra, with all the wars that there were in the Middle Ages between France and Spain, there are two , it's safer 😂
It works for everything we want to learn, the brain is like that, if it finds something pretty or funny it remembers it, we just need to find something that fits us into what we want to learn and bam it's inlaid.
Hope you react to some Eastern European countries too, they’re always overlooked by Western countries…I live in Romania, hopefully you’ll watch something from here, Romania is a gem unlike anywhere else in Europe!

If anything good has come from the Ukraine war at all, it's that "Eastern Europe", meaning the former socialist republics have gotten a big boost in terms of notoriety. I certainly have paid a lot more attention to all the countries there, and would like to visit many of the countries myself, including Romania. Romania intrigues me more than most, because of it's language and connection to ancient Rome.

You're doing great! You know most of western and northern Europe, keep going!! You know more than most of our fellow Americans, and I'm proud of you! Some of these countries aren't in Europe (like Azerbaijan for example) but still we should learn them all.
Oh, you are so hard on yourself. You did pretty well. And it is hard, especially when naming all those countries that only existed for the past 30 to 40 years. BTW: Didn't they forget Lithuania? They had Estonia and Lativia, but LIthuania? Or did I just miss it?
12:25 - Not only Poland is the other way around but it's also rectangular, while Monaco is square. It's the best way to differentiate them. 😄

I have alot of friends from other countrys who moved to another country. One is American who moved to Holland, Italian who lives in Germany etc. My American friends who lives in the US, they have more knowledge about the world.

When it comes to Montenegro, you guessed, but it was an educated guess, it was no luck. You said Montenegro because you know it exists, and you know enough european flags that there weren't many choices left. This is no luck, and just barely a guess. You are really making progress. How many americans even know about Bosnia in the first place? You are no worse than the average european out there. That's impressive. What is more, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaidjan, Armenia or Turkey are not even in Europe. Some will claim they are. But this is a very new notion that came up for whatever reason. I personnally messed up Kazakhstan (said Ouzbekistan), but it is no surprise. I got 44/51. As a french. Managing around 40 points as an american is an achievement. You certainly didn't embarrass yourself.

The more I watch videos from this channel, by the way, that's it, I'm subscribed! The more I have the impression that the geography of the Americans is the English of the French. A source of curiosity but also of complexes and blockages. They spend their time apologizing or downright self-sabotage, as we see in other videos where random people are questioned in geography, like many French people prefer to give up on an interesting conversation, or at best spend their time apologizing, for fear of making a fool of yourself. It's a big milestone to pass, and in France if we are not forced to do so, by work or the thirst for travel, we prefer to avoid.

I'm so embarrassed that I still don't know all the flags, and perhaps even map locations of all of those countries which once were socialist and behind the iron curtain. I have no excuse, just ignorance 😔 I've tried to learn everything now (in a way that sticks to my memory permanently) as the Ukraine situation has been highlighting the area.
