Incredible. Just amazing. Farmers are the lifeblood and backbone of rural UK. Thank You. This clearly illustrates how farmers really do care about the land and indeed wildlife. And understand what is required to maintain wildlife and native species. What you are doing is unequalled. Working in all weathers, 24/07...365 days of the year. All seasons and indeed all weathers. So when there is debate about the price of British food, it beggars belief! Farmers, like these two amazing people should be both respected and rewarded in equal measure. From the bottom of my heart ...Thank You. This is real life. Long may it continue. You are incredible.
That's why it is of the utmost importance that the Government enact their proposal to subsidise farmers for doing conservation work. Farmland covers over 72% of the UK get it right and British Wildlife will flourish.
In 1970s, I picked up a book titled: All Things Great and Small by James Herriot!! Ever since, I have been in love with Yorkshire Dales!! I must visit this place if it's the last thing I do!!
This is such a beautiful documentary. I really enjoyed looking into farming life and it gave me a deep respect for the farmers, their dogs, their animals and their beautiful way of life. Thank you.
Wow, you farmers are amazing. Love your dogs, what clever animals . The dales are so beautiful . It’s weird that I watch the seasons there and we are so different down here in the Southern hemisphere. I’m dreading our summer as we have been warned there will be bush fires and extreme heat waves. Up in the 40+ region. Yuck.
As a one who knows exactly this life style born n bred hill farmer long ago ....not now ... all i can say you dont know what you have till havnt...way of life isnt a truer saying... dave
i wonder what British weather would be like without the chemtrails. im sitting here in the south of Portugal on my farm. chemtrails, heat, and no rain this winter yet and its almost january. where can we go to farm in peace o this beautiful planet?
I’m from this area, some of my family are actually on this programme, with ancient pathways running through farms it’d be massively inconvenient to do as you suggest. Not to mention that we just raise our children not to bother cattle…

Having read the book is the same reason I am here watching this!

Thanks from USA.
Fab film, thanks for sharing the hard work farmers do. Hopefully it will help people to begin valuing and backing British farmers more
Great film, thanks. Really good to see the conservation projects

The connection with nature is so inspiring.
Brilliant - a way of life not a job - farming.
Hard life on the hills. 👏

Excuse me, we've gone on holiday by mistake, are you the farmer?
Nice to see the park is insisting on use of traditional crafts.
Cows should be kept apart from from walkers and tourists like they do in France
This is not France thank goodness!
More a question of keeping tourists and walkers away from cows IMHO
