Similar to the flood not as bad but still terrifying
This one was haunting. Not because it's something realistic or it's close to reality. But because her reaction was distinctly human, in the same situation i can't say i think i'd fare any better than her in terms of her mental decline. She reacted the way 99 percent of us would react and the creators of the story did an amazing job humanizing her and making her feel relatable and then on top of that the animators brought the whole thing to life with the visuals and narration. Well done to all involved, this one was the only one of a horror nature that actually got to me. Here were dragons is the only other one to create an actual emotional response in me.

I know its late, but I just saw this, and it really fucked with me. This story hits diffrent. I am really into anomalies which is why I love SCPs, but holy hell! I loved this story. I am more left with questions that I have the urge to find the answers to. What caused the event? Why is the moon under the same effect? Are these creatures really "alive"? And that man, was his brain reactivated? Like, did he wake up after thinking he was free? And imagine constant pain from the creature and the bullet. And what of cockroaches and the sea creatures that would normally avoid the light? I am just so invested into this. I hear some people mention UnLondon, but what about the Infinite Ikea? It said people will travel between and into other universes. What if they came here? And can these creatures end up in the Ikea? Would they be attacked? I will stop now. ^^
The only one I can answer is the moon one, the reason the moon shines is because it’s the reflection of the sun, it also says all “natural light” I know I’m a month late but I just re-got into scps

Then, there was the Hateful.
He was another of her kind. Older. His domain was blessed in having not just one, but two satellites primed to generate the bounty of life. Unlike Sol, however, the Hateful was arrogant and impulsive. None of the lifeforms of his oceanic Rythlos developed eyes or vision to gaze upon him, so he lashed out - boiling the fledgling ecosystem for this perceived slight. The extremophiles of the frigid Tmtes, though capable of complex feats of intelligence and adoption of learned behavior, never progressed to a sufficiently high degree of intellect or reasoning to genuinely appreciate their sun's gift. As such, they too were consumed by his malice.
The Hateful envied Sol.
Despised her.
He looked upon the world she painstakingly cultivated with absolute scorn. Furious and indignant that she should be graced with the complexity and variability of its inhabitants. He raged as its dominant species' venerations of her presence echoed throughout the cosmos, forever reverberating her praises to their brethren. The Hateful then directed his anger towards Earth. He began moving with single-minded determination, emanating contempt and spewing vitriol.
Sol became aware of the Hateful's intentions as he began his bitter campaign, and grew concerned. Though she had known life to be resilient, shrugging off one extinction event after the other, the arrival of the Hateful would be an insurmountable catastrophe. The beings she cared for would be obliterated en masse in a nuclear conflagration and die hopelessly screaming.
Not even the brightest minds of her world's highest body of research, with knowledge both mystic and mundane, had a solution to the challenge imposed by the Hateful. The more prevailing proposals incorporated occult rituals perfected across the millennia of humanity's existence, but for all their influence, they did not possess the power or resources to spark the large-scale reactions necessary for planet-wide protection.
Sol knew what had to be done. Brimming with unbridled love, she began to change.
Her radiating warmth would act as a bulwark against the destruction threatened by her sibling. Her rays, an outpouring of her adoration of life, would grant those basking in its glory an immunity as unbreakable as the bond she shared with them. As the Hateful one ravaged and tore his way through the neighboring galaxies, Sol became bemused by his impotent rampage, reveling in the thought of his arrival. Because once he descends upon Earth, he will discover its population can not only endure his onslaught, but prosper in spite of it.
After all, love conquers hate.

No 682 is.
when all is done and everything Is gone, all that's left is him, left to patrol the land forever.
As he lives the world dies, the world and atmosphere disappearing, he tried to stay in the places with land but eventually all that was left was magma and small patches of land.
After the magma died down he could walk freely, but the sun, the light of earth was dying and eventually all that was left was darkness.
As he lay there regretting his decisions of wanting to be alone counting the surviving stars as he could not see anything but them.
He carved drawing with his claws into the charred ground.
After decades and decades of laying there he saw a light glisten into the sky getting ever so closer, he followed the light to where it would crash... but it didn't crash, it landed as he had done once before he thought he should kill them for untruding but he let them have their ceremonys, when they came out their ships they looked familiar... humanoid like, and when they started talking they didn't speak any language he knew so he lay there watching them.
Every few decades they would come back and do another ceremony, but this time halfway through another one of them stepped out, but no not in silver like the others but a rose gold, he stared at the new stranger, and as they spoke he grew to understand there language... well so he thought anyway.
But one time... one noticed him and told the others they thought he may be dangerous... so this time they observed him and came to the conclusion he wasn't dangerous and they should let him do what he wants.
So one time he layed closer to them in the light and watched as they watched him and they came to try communicate with him.
In their language they asked "do you understand us,if so who are you" he replied "I do not know what I am but I know one thing, I am the last survivor of earth"

This channel is great but I wouldn’t call it undefeated as the channels only been around for a month and it’s already amassed over 200k
I think the scariest part about the file was reading the end, where theyre dragging you to the surface and you see sunlight at the end of the tunnel.
This is literally, basically the definition of nightmare fuel.
This is one of my favourite 001 proposals. It's a pretty cool and terrifying concept overall, but Dr Cimmerian's additional story about how UnLondon responds to the event is definitely the best part. If you don't know about that part of this 001, SCP Illustrated did a video about it, and I cannot recommend it enough.

Late but I think I thr documents one of the main goals is to reach deus ex machina. For whatever reason it's not working or is unreachable. My guess is because the 001 takes our knowledge it knows exactly what deus ex machina is and actively preventing it from being reached
