great idea. I thought planting directly into the ground is better for plants but now I do believe potting is better. thanks Margaret for sharing that root pruning feature. 🥰
I'm trying something similar with old washing machine drums the numerous holes allow air root pruning & they're cheap & plentiful can't afford those gorgeous decorative pots like Margaret. Her idea with the root pruning is genius. I wonder how often does she root prune the lemon tree. This garden should be a legacy for generations to come .
Absolutely beautiful and stunning garden, they all look soo healthy and the flowers are blooming well in pots!!! You gave us an inspiration to plant fruits, flowers and vegetables in pots!!
Wow!! I would have never thought some things could be grown in pots! She is a genius at gardening and I have a whole new appreciation for potting! Thanks so much for sharing ❤❤❤
I have some of my pot plants part buried in the ground where I want them and then bring the mulch up so you can only see a small part of the pot rim. This means I don’t have to water these pots so often as they don’t dry out so fast. Eventually you don’t see the pots and I can swap them around or take one out if it is not looking healthy. I am in the subtropics. All the pots are ceramic so blend in well. I started doing this as I didn’t want to disturb tree roots in the area.
Wow why is the way she can has such a variety of plants in her garden and every one of them are amazing and full of Color. All they are in perfect conditions!!
Amazing collection of potted plants. Very inspiring Either the winters there are very mild or she has one heck of a job storing these for the cold season
What a Beautiful garden,I'm from the UK and I was a charge hand at our local Ebbw vale garden festival, there I watched everyday a designers potters garden being created My favourite garden, yours is such a inspiration Very Well done it's beautiful
I'm assuming the main thing that helps the plants grow so beautifully is the irrigation and fertilizer. I want to start a potting garden on my patio. I have flowers/shrubs in the landscaping but I want that lushness of live plants on the patio. It's actually a cement porch, not level with the ground but it's going to be one of our projects soon to start on some of the fall plantings. I'm so excited!! ❤😊 I imagine green shrubbery, a small tree or two, spring bulbs, and lots of perennials and a water fountain. I'm disabled so it will allow me to enjoy nature up close 😊
Yes! I’ve been SEARCHING for a video containing *real* vintage & antique outdoor pots that’s NOT diy. Okay that lemon tree is ridiculous. Unbelievable skillz
Your plants & pots are amazing & gorgeous! Where do you purchase your beautiful pots? I can’t find any real unique ones. I live in the US just outside of Nashville,Tennessee You really have a green thumb & a wonderful PASSION!
Lovely abundance. I hope she has a local university to donate these to when she retires. I would hate to see all this go to waste. She's brilliant. Should be teaching.
Not one brown leaf in sight. Her plants are gorgeous, and the time and care she puts into them is evident. I am inspired!
