HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE♥ I hope you're having some relaxing down town before the new year! I had the urge to get out thrifting & look for some special pieces for hosting for the holidays! Come along with me to all my favorite thrift stores!!
I love thrifting but I haven't gone for a while. Love your finds! Happy Holidays and Happy New Year. Thanks for another great video. Oh and I love the mirror I say that's a "Yes!"
You always find the best deals..In Portugal even the 2nd hand stores are sooo expensive.. Thank you so much for sharing these finds with us.. I wish you a 2023 full of good health, more thrift finds and lots of success for this amazing channel!! Sending much love to you and all your subscribers all the way from Lisbon, Portugal!!! 🇵🇹 🥰🥰
Thank you sooo much for your inspiration!! I'm going thrifting today!! What a great idea. I love that your using those glasses for wine. Very sheik. 😀 As far as the mirror..I love the squares in it...pottery barn has a similar look for I think about $300. But I'm not crazy about the top design. Maybe remove that? Also skip the glass bowl...keep going with your white serving pieces. I love watching you..your so cute 😍
What a great video! This channel has been a lifesaver for me. I’m a recently divorced guy who got married right out of college. Soooo, I’m having to get my own place ready for the first time in my life. I’ve learned so much of the basics of decorating from your videos.
Love this, from star to finish!! I love thrifting here in NYC!! Your tips and ideas are always fresh & exciting. Thanks for it all!! Happy thrifting & Happy & Healthy New Year⚘️
That blue and white canister set is what I had in 1983 when I first got married! I had the set of four with flour, sugar, coffee, and tea written on them.
Kirsten, your glasses look like trifle/dessert glasses-ask your mum, she will probably remember them from her childhood. They are very on trend this year in Australia. I just bought a dozen for my Christmas table.
If looking for an armoire style piece, Facebook Marketplace is the way to go. In my area, they are almost always being given away for free. Most were TV cabinets. I took one of mine, added more shelves, and turned it into a small pantry since the kitchen in our downsized home did not have one.
Yes the clear cut glass is for elegant dishes like “Ambrosia” & “Waldorf Salad” which are pretty much the same & also for “Shrimp Cocktail” you can tell by the size
Hey there! Love to watch your videos and get thrifted decor ideas. Word of warning, be very careful with pottery/crystal and dishes at the thrift because of possible lead exposure! A lot of the vintage pieces contain lead and would not be food safe. Just always best to look it up or get a lead testing kit, so you know!
Hi Kristen. New subscriber. Your thrift store was a true treasure trove! You really got some very nice things for $9.00. The Habitat Restore was phenomenal too! The closest one to me is not nearly that nice. Great video!
I love the mirror!! I wouldn’t care about the squares bcuz it would be up for decor. It’s beautiful, it’s vintage … yes please. Kristen you scored on the glasses. I loved the whole tour. Thanks for taking us along. Have a blessed week darling ❤🙏🏽
That Imperla pasta maker goes for $105 and up, so you made a great score on that! The handmade vase reminds me of items my grandmother in Texas had back in the 1970's.
At Habitat for Humanity Restore, we recently got a beautiful white wood headboard and a Crate and Barrel dresser for our guest room. They will provide you with the name of a delivery service and it all worked out perfectly. Got a small TV for $25 and an iron for $10 at Goodwill. Check out these types of stores and you will find all kinds of things. Tools too. Loved this type of video. Thank you!
The wicker nightstands are beautiful! I’ve always wanted an entire wicker bedroom set for my guest room. The vase looks like a Hull piece to me. Really great find!
I think if you turn a bowl upside down in the middle of the Punchbowl it would be beautiful with some fresh fruit. If you don't use an internal goal you just need lots and lots of fruit! I love the idea of a clear fruit bowl. I started doing all my kitchen canisters and such in clear glass. Seem to look sleeker and goes with any decor
What a fantastic resource for those who want to elevate their home decor without overspending. Thrifting adventure and haul showcase how you can find stylish and affordable pieces that breathe new life into your living space. With practical tips and an eye for design, this video highlights the art of achieving a chic home on a budget through thrift store treasures.
I super enjoyed this episode!! I love the unique items you can use to decorate your home. The quality of antique furniture often cannot be equaled. One of my recent favorite finds was a horse carved out of a horn! It would be hard to find something like that mass produced. I hope you do more thrift videos!
I love this channel and your decor style. You’re suggestions are spot on. I have thrifted about 90% of the decor/furniture for my home, Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel etc. it’s amazing what you can find. Thanks for the great content❤
I was thinking the same thing! Make it as shallow as you want. Although it seems like quite a bit of work…. But if you found one you loved, it might be worth it!
Such a joy to thrift with you. Love your vids-such a pleasure to both watch and listen to-easy on the eyes and ears-and of course, the stunners you find. More thrifting, please! x
Happy New Year 2023 Kristen. Great finds on the glassware's, vase, pasta maker and large white bowl for pasta or salad. Lots of pretty wooden Furnitures. I bought a 4 chair with Dining room table, and it also has a leaf to make it longer for $100.00 at Habitat for Humanity Restore in PA. I look online and new it was $2,000.00. It looks gorgeous in our Dining Room. I enjoyed your video. Blessings.🥰🌺
I bought a piece that was way too deep but, I loved it. I simply took a skill saw and sawed it to the depth I wanted and put the back back on. It’s still where I put it 20yrs ago.
Great tip on the books , grab the mirror, definitely looking for a habitat for humanity shop. I found a 1950's coffee table value $1,500.00 and a Romeo Tamanti coffee table value $40,000.00 for $75.00 each at Salvation army.
Loved watching your thrifting adventure & I have to thank you for your giving me the idea of how to use my vintage sewing box. I have one very similar to what you had seen at the Restore & wasn’t sure where I would put it, but it’s definitely going into my mini mudroom to hold hats & gloves, etc. Thanks!!
I have an older version of those small thick glasses that I got from a packhouse flea market over 35 years ago! I use them all of the time for desserts (think banana pudding, jello with fruit & Cool Whip, and of course mini ice cream sundaes!
Hi Kristen, all items are lovely just to mention I have the same pasta maker that you found and it's a great one originally from Italy which I got from Morocco. Cheers from the UK 🇬🇧
@@sbffsbrarbrr I agree to an extent, re imagining things is fine. However I think id be pretty embarrassed if I had invited people to a lovely dinner, to later find I served them wine from a bowl. The weight of the sherbet glass is different. That said to each their own, right? Happy New Year!
I have loved thrifting for years… especially for glassware and crystal! My kids pointed out that the “new thing” in glassware seems to be glasses with different patterns on them so that guests don’t get mixed-up with which glass is theirs. My kids pointed out that I’ve always had beautiful crystal glasses that have never matched, because I bought them at the thrift store, but isn’t that the same concept? I loved this video because you have a passion for thrifting that I have…. “Any fool can pay full retail!” :) Please keep this content up!
Great finds Kristen. Especially the glassware❤ I love browsing the antique shops we have in the UK. You can find great vintage items there. wishing you a happy new year 😊
I’m searching for a curio cabinet…either the antique rounded oval wooden frame on wheels or something mid-century modern. You had me drooling over all the treasures in there! 😮
I really enjoyed the Restore adventure, oh my the beautiful furniture and great prices! Our town just recently got a Restore but it is small and has hardly any furniture but more building supplies, light fixtures etc, I would love to visit one that big. That was a beautiful vase you bought as well. Have a Happy New Year!
Wow such great thrift stores and finds!! I’ve lived in different cities throughout California and unfortunately most of the stores here are really picked through and they are really expensive too! 🙁
Every time i go to uk i buy odd, quality, old plates. My tables look great with everyone having a different coloured plate as well as the napkins. Who said that dinner plates all have to be a set. How boring. But then I'm Italian and i just adore flair and creativity.😂
Hi. I just saw your vlog and loved it. What state are you located in? It appears your Habitat For Humanity is much larger than the ones near me in the Northeast and the furniture selection in the one you visited is awesome. I would not wait on the gold mirror. In my area a mirror like that would go for much more and have been gone by now. If you like it get it. Just saying! I own only period piece antique furniture and I love the unique designs. Each piece is insured separately. I hope I receive more of your vlogs on UA-cam. I did subscribe. Happy New Year!
Absolutely love these videos. So inspirational. I love thrifting due to the prices but mostly the quality & often uniqueness of items. As much as I love thrifting, I can find myself lacking imagination on how to use it and I find your channel is so darn inspirational for ideas! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and have a Happy New Year!

Thanks for it all!!
Happy thrifting & Happy & Healthy New Year⚘️
The glassware you bought appears to be sherbet dishes you could use for pudding or ice-cream. Very pretty.
I agree. Not a drinking glass.
I had one I drank wine out of for a year before my grandma told me what was really going on. My fancy wine glass was a fancy ice cream dish. :D
In England we'd call them trifle dishes but yes they are dessert cups, not for wine
I grew up with the same dishes, my mom used for desserts
Yes they're for desserts, my grandmother had these.
It is SO GOOD to see a (pretty) young person without (heavy) black eye makeup!
That blue and white canister set is what I had in 1983 when I first got married! I had the set of four with flour, sugar, coffee, and tea written on them.

Thrifting content is a lot of fun to watch! More of these please!! I've noticed Goodwill is getting really pricey.
Follow Simply Sherri channel...she's all about thrifting and "curating" a home with unique pieces.
Yes! I sometimes feel that Goodwill has gotten way too big for their britches. 😂 Some of their stuff is priced way too high.

I furnished a large colonial home with used refinished furniture. They absolutely made things better to last years ago. Love your video.
I like the mirror minus the squares.
Yay! More thrifting videos like this please!

OMG THAT MIRROW IS BEAUTIFULL YOU SHOULD GET IT,ONCE YOU BRING IT HOME YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE IT MORE....
That Imperla pasta maker goes for $105 and up, so you made a great score on that! The handmade vase reminds me of items my grandmother in Texas had back in the 1970's.

Yes to the mirror with the squares!
I like the mirror, I think the squares make it a little more special...
The wicker nightstands are beautiful! I’ve always wanted an entire wicker bedroom set for my guest room. The vase looks like a Hull piece to me. Really great find!
The glasses you picked up would be great to serve a dessert in. I also loved the unique punch bowl you purchased.
That’s what they’re actually made for. I once got two of them as a gift and we use it for more festive dinners.
The wardrobe was my favorite, it is so unique and vintage. The best thing about thrift store is you will always find good things where all can afford.
The glasses at 3:08 would make great dessert or fruit cups.
We got a large t.v. stand at Habitat for twenty dollars. The glasses that you got are actually more for dessert and not wine
Very beautiful punch bowl. A punch bowl is a very useful item.

You could get one of those wardrobes and cut the back off to make it more shallow? Would be a great diy video! Love some of those pieces you found!
I was thinking the same thing! Make it as shallow as you want. Although it seems like quite a bit of work…. But if you found one you loved, it might be worth it!
I love how you decorate and your make up so simple, you pretty face ,without make up
In the first store you visited and bought the set of glasses, are exactly like the ones I grew up with in the sixties. My mom used them for desserts.😊
Such a joy to thrift with you. Love your vids-such a pleasure to both watch and listen to-easy on the eyes and ears-and of course, the stunners you find. More thrifting, please! x
glass fluted bowl with yellow edge is the perfect bowl for 7 layer salad
You may want to consider looking for a chimney cabinet for your hallway. They are great for small spaces.
Happy New Year 2023 Kristen. Great finds on the glassware's, vase, pasta maker and large white bowl for pasta or salad. Lots of pretty wooden Furnitures. Hi Kristen, go back and get that mirror! So nice!
Totally agree!
These are my fave types of videos to watch! Also, totally would've grabbed the bowl and used it for fresh fruit on the counter.
Also, can you tell me how many pillows you would use and how you would style them on a sectional? Thank you!!
I have an older version of those small thick glasses that I got from a packhouse flea market over 35 years ago! I use them all of the time for desserts (think banana pudding, jello with fruit & Cool Whip, and of course mini ice cream sundaes!
Love this video. Please take us thrifting again.
Hi Kristen, all items are lovely just to mention I have the same pasta maker that you found and it's a great one originally from Italy which I got from Morocco. Cheers from the UK 🇬🇧
Awesome finds! I wish my thrift stores were this good! Loved those glasses you picked up.
Exactly! ZERO of the stores in my area ever have anything this nice!
Lots of elderly folks pass away in Florida with treasures going to thrift stores 🌴
This was so fun to watch
Omg that sitting table and mirror is gorgeous
Those glasses that you bought for $2.00 a piece I believe are dessert bowls.
I love thrifty shopping it's fun to find things youve been wanting at a great reduced price! Thanks for sharing and thanks for new ideas 👍🏼👍🏼
I think the 8 cut crystal glasses you bought are lovely but they are a sherbet/ ice cream glass.
When you thrift, it's more fun to reimagine pieces and to think out of the box. I bet she knows they are not wine glasses 😊
I love that vase & the bowl did have a yellow color to it.
Real beauty is to be true to oneself. That's what makes me feel good.
“Imperia” is the best Italian pasta maker brand! Nice finding 😊
The punch bowl is also great for a giant salad for a buffet dinner, or giant chip bowl for a party.
ALL I LOVE IS THRIFTING A LOT ITS LIKE MY HOBBY
I Want those glasses great
for special cocktails!
“My name is Kristen and I’m heading out thriftin’!” 🤣❤️

Love the mirror it’s gorgeous I don’t really mind the grid in the mirror itself makes it kinda unique💜
Those MCM pieces are my absolute favorites!
I really like the squares in that mirror. I think you should go for it. It’s beautiful!
Love the mirror
If you never get around to actually making pasta, those machines make very nice shredded paper for gift bags or Easter baskets. I love your style.
Great finds Kristen. Especially the glassware❤ I love browsing the antique shops we have in the UK. You can find great vintage items there. wishing you a happy new year 😊
That sounds like a dream!
I could spend hours shopping in stores like this !
I really enjoyed this video! Can you share the best way to clean the wooden (or other) furniture pieces that you thrift?
I just found a vase today at the thrift store that looks very similar to yours and it was handmade with a signature on the bottom. And it's my colors.
Wow such great thrift stores and finds!! I’ve lived in different cities throughout California and unfortunately most of the stores here are really picked through and they are really expensive too! 🙁
I love the squares in the mirror!

The punch bowl you purchased was super cute
Those stemmed glasses also make nice dessert glasses.
I hope you do more of these trifting videos, you are so good at it as always !!
I love thrifting! I find great stuff.
Love the mirror, definitely for the fire place
Yesss, that mirror is really nice
The short glasses you purchased can be used for a dessert cup or also along with the bunch bowl you purchased!
Thanks for including us
Love watching your videos. You make any store sound fabulous ❤
The mirror is beautiful….hope you bought it 😊
I'm so jealous, my scandi and minimalism obsessed country has barely anything like this. All these beautiful classic pieces make me cry 😭
So many uses for the punch bowl! glass ornaments, floating candles, salad etc
Amo acompanhar seus vídeos Kristen você tem muito bom gosto ...amo as decorações de home na verdade de todos os ambientes...
Love the mirror too
Amazing finds! I need to start thrifting! 😍
That large white flattish bowl could be used as a birdbath out in the garden. I always look for bowls like that.

I LOVE the Restore!
I love that mirror, you should get it :) That bowl coordinates with the punch bowl :)
Thank you Kristen. You have planted an idea in my mind.😊 Will definitely be checking out local second-hand stores.
i love your reuse of the sherbet cups- just brilliant!
