I would like to say thank you for this video. It was very detailed and also, thank you for sharing the recipe. Soaps nowadays have so many horrible chemicals so, I decided I wanted to just make my own but I wasn't sure how to lol... this was great. New sub
Sodium Hydroxide (Lye) is very toxic.! So wearing protective clothing is necessary to protect you from the fumes and burns. But once the soap has cured it is safe to use as there is no longer any Sodium Hydroxide (Lye) left in the soap as it has gone through the saponification with is a chemical reaction of the fats and oils (triglycerides) that reacts with Sodium Hydroxide (Lye) to form soap

The ratio of water to lye is not at least double water to lye. Is there a reason for this?
Are the oils in ml or grams? Your recipe writes ml but you seem to be weighing them in gms
Hi thanks for noting that, I updated the description to avoid confusion :)
Why 6 weeks use for soap?
Why so much gear and protection for something that’s eventually going to be spread all over the body 🤔

@@danlewis3452 lye is caustic that is why you need all the protective gear.
