Theres actually a valid reason why this did so much damage (it wouldve done insane damage regardless but not enough to TOD.) I know you dont like damage scaling Charapuff but alas its still a feature. We all know that damage scaling decreases your damage output and stops you from TODing. But, what a lot of people dont know, is that risk, the stat over your health bar that increases when you block, actually goes hand and hand with damage scaling. You see, risk is called risk because it increases the amount of damage you take and do by decreasing the rate that your damage scale bar fills up. The higher your risk, the more damage you do and the more damage you take. Since the higher your risk is, the slower your damage scale bar fills up, what most likely happened is that you or him blocked a lot of attacks, increasing risk and leading to you being able to do an insane amount of damage to him, leading to a TOD combo. For the same reason, the combo wouldnt insta kill if you had hit it right off the bat since he wouldn't have been able to block enough that his risk fills up and nullifies damage scaling.
Risk increases the damage you DO? nowhere have I seen this. as far as I know. the only thing that risk does is make it so the block-er's damage scaling generation when they are hit is instead absorbed by the risk percentage. preventing damage scaling from taking effect until the risk percentage goes away. I had no idea risk also is a benefit if you manage to catch the enemy out.
i find it very odd the scaling bar didnt move at all, when you used 5 on him that looks like a glitch on the bar, because he had no risk so its impossible the bar to not move at all while doing a huge amount of dmg (edit note: It was a bug it got fixed in the new patch w the customs mode so no more tod for frisk haha)
TOD means Touch of Death and refers to a combo that is inescapable and does enough damage to kill the target. Meaning, if you get hit at all, they can combo you to death.
Ok it didn't actually tod but still, it would have done over 120 damage with legendary hero.

This is very true! This mechanic can help certain passive players if they not only "play for rage" but most definitely "play for risk".

but the opponents risk was so low so either risk is complety busted or damage scaling hates bodshiro
