Love to see it for sure, but would love it even more if he kept them and didn't sell them!💙 We watch all your videos Chris, you do these vehicles the RIGHT way dude!🤙 Love the Ford, Chevy and Benz love you bring to the channel! Watching from Texas, and feeling you about the humidity hot weather!🥵 Stay cool dude! 😎🤘
I love that too. There's a few cars around me like that like a Grand National, Typhoon, Scylone, and even a Caprice PPV V8 that I would do if I had the ability. Would make good investments imo even just for personal satisfaction
Next weeks episode thanks to lmr for upper lower control arms , new springs and shocks , new brakes . While I’m that far might as well get rid of the surface rust and clean everything up lol. Hands down one of the best channels and perfectionist.
I love that you work on all the cars that I have owned or would like to own. My favorite content on UA-cam. I search for your channel before anything else. Great job Mr. Sullivan.
I always enjoy the content you post on whichever car/truck you end up working on during the time. I find it relaxing to listen to someone with common sense as their base instrument to use during all of the builds. Well done on the Lightning so far. Now about that exhaust.....
Two of my dream vehicles since I was in middle school are sitting in your driveway. I personally prefer the wheels that were already on the Lightning but it still looks great, man. New sub here. :)
Greetings Chris, I'm glad to see you start the Lighting Project. As soon as I saw, what it looked like when you was taking off the front components. I know how you are, have to make things look good/better. No way you're going to put rusty old parts back on you cars/trucks...And I like that..I have been here from the beginning, and seen you work on awesome projects. Pls. Continue..On Your way to 100 thousand Subscribers..👍 👍
Good call on the ball joints and you’re correct the lower one you pull that c clip and then knock it out top to bottom. New one, you’ll need a ball joint press (you can rent them from auto parts store). Presses in bottom to top. You can use the press to remove the old one too, it’s less violent. Or go aftermarket which is probably where you’re headed. Love the vids.
Totally freaking awesome, yeah the ole upper and lower ball joints on these style of trucks, my 97 F150 had 2 rounds replaced on her 280K. Doesn't matter if it's the Lightning, the Cobra, or the trailer the content as always good.
Was waiting for this one. Best friend had this same truck, bought new in 2001 Black just like this one. He traded me his H&K USP .45 for me buying him a Johnny Lightning cold air kit and installing it. He never drove the truck, was a total freak with it and was afraid it would get scratched. A year later is OCD got so bad dude offered him more than what he paid so he sold it. He now has a 2020 Dodge Challenger Redeye Widebody.
I would highly suggest shaving down the lock stops on the lower control arms. after drop spindles my lightnings turning radius was bad and this helped some. duralast gold control arms have grease fittings, which I also added poly bushings and the driver's side anti cluck fix washer . you'll hear it when you reverse the truck usually
Love the channel Chris. Great stuff. Huge fan of the SVT restoration content. I miss the "cheap" Cobra videos. I saw her in the background, I hope we get an update on her soon. Also, going back and watching the 69 Camaro video's to see how that car came to be. Cool stuff adding the QA1 suspension. Lastly, love the behind the scenes stuff, don't mine it at all. I think you have probably inspired a lot of people to do some DIY stuff to their own rides, me included. Keep up the great work. PS: It's summer time man. Grab a cold snack, chill in the AC and get back to work. Summer is so short, enjoy it.
Maybe a second channel where we can watch you do some trailer maintenance or just some little side projects like stuff with that dirt bike or maybe even doing stuff to your house or just anything that wouldnt exactly be related to the main channel? Just a suggestion and I’d definitely watch! Mini splits are a good option as well, I do HVAC for a living.
You asked about behind-the-scenes work yes that would be great to see what’s happening behind your production. But what I think would really be cool is if you could spend one video detsiling a day in the life of Chris snd/or a week the life of Chris and just explain your schedule from the time you get up to the time you go to bed I don’t know how you get everything done and go on work trips, home/family projects. etc. it be interesting to hear from somebody so inspirational And physically fit as well!
It aint chill here in Florida, and my HOme AC has been out since Friday... Parts are ordered... What a gimmick business with chinesium garbage built products nowadays...
I’m sure you’ve already done the job. I’m looking forward to see how you tackle those front leaf spring hangers. Also, for that oem plus + look, you can install the svt caps on the she wheels.
"While you're in there" The snowball effect is real when it comes to working on cars, have to learn when to stop yourself or you'll go mad, lad But yeah when you buy old vehicles you might as well plan to rebuild the whole front end, Idk what it is with Ford but ball joints and tie rods simply do not last on them, especially on Mustangs you'll be replacing them like every 20,000 miles it seems like
Man, I was about 75% of the way through this and thought.... Wait a moment, he's gonna install that part with how all that looks, where's my "while I'm in there". Sure enough, you came through! Let's go rockauto!!
Time for some Stifflers control arms, that way you can dial in your alignment alittle better and if you wanted to go coilover later on, you could with their lower control arms
Hey Chris, couldn't help but notice you have some zip ties on what look like heater hoses on this rig. I would like to suggest using velcro straps from McMaster- you will still hold the hoses in place but with lower pressure and less point contact on the hoses. The velcro straps will also last longer than the tie wraps, which will dry up and break off over time. I also think they look a little better. Enjoying the channel!
Fords are notorious for the AC compressor grounding out. Check your AC ground wire on your compressor, and make sure the positive and the negative aren't in contact with one another.
Thanks again Chris for coming to us for your Lightning needs! We can't wait to see the results! 🔥 - Jude & Landan
Giving that Lighting a new lease on life is awesome. This guy rescues abused legendary cars! Love to see it.
🤙🤙

I love watching you do these side jobs, like working on your trailer. It helps educate people like myself and many others who watch your channel.
Glad you enjoyed!
Bro really goes by the “you sleep when you’re dead” quote.

No.
This channel is the plug for American OEM+ ❤

Did a little A/C maintenance myself this week, learned a heck of a lot I didn't know before. It's HOT everywhere!!
+1 for your maintenance behind the scenes.
Also the soundtracks you use especially the recurring ones make your videos awesome and nostalgia!
Glad you like them!
You got the nice wheels on the lightning the best looking lightning wheel lightning looking way better
Absolutely love this truck. Exactly what I’m wanting. Clean black or blue on some factory replica 20s on some thick nittos.
Absolutely timeless rigs
I love that you work on all the cars that I have owned or would like to own. My favorite content on UA-cam. I search for your channel before anything else. Great job Mr. Sullivan.
Appreciate you watching! Thanks for the kind words
Awesome video! My favorite car the 03-04 Cobras ! Gotta love the lightning as well. It’s a dream combo!
10th gen lightening is one of my dream builds. Such a good body style. It’s crazy how it has almost the exact same suspension as my 03 lariat lol.
I have a feeling this truck is going to be bad ass! Can’t wait to see what you have in store!
🤙🤙
Good smokin’ deal on the tires! Nice truck by the way 🤘🏼
Thanks 👍

Haven’t watched your channel in a while and damn dude you’ve grown a lot. Looks like all you do is eat and lift keep it up big dawg
Haha I wish! Thanks man appreciate you watching
The only thing I hate about these Chris Sullivan videos is that they ARE NOT long enough!!!
NJ is nasty this week. We get it lol. I won’t even have a beer because I sweat way worse. 😢
It's insane. Need more AC lol
@@ChrisSullivan69 need all the AC lol
Good vid as usual! The 20's are nice but I love the block style wheel just more aggressive looking in my doesn't really matter opinion. 😁
Another great video Chris.

Nice add Chris. I just put these wheels on my wife’s 97 Expedition. Should look bad a$$ dropped with the wheels.
Right on!
I need a lighting in my life

Love the content man, and as soon as I saw the mess behind the brakes I told myself "there's no way he's gonna put it back together like that" lol...
You know the deal lol
Good stuff. Enjoy your content!❤️😈
You gotta get a set brake caliper hanger hooks. They are a life saver when you need 'em!
Gotta look into that
Ohhh nice. We get a car and a gun show.
Love the lightning content
Nice work
Ball joints deep 😂
most of us have 24 hour day clocks..but Chris, works on a 30 hour day..job, wife, extened family and of course, YT content...

You can go with a 295/40R20 for the front and 305/40R20 in the rear
