@@ThePacificWarChannel With the effort you put in, the depth of knowledge and research, and the fact that it is such a niche and often overlooked historical region during the 1700s to 1900s period, it is an absolute travesty that you don't get more recognition!

Between Russo-Japanese War and 1937 there will be a few episodes once its 1937 I believe the channel will be more week by week or month by month (1937-1945). I want to cover the entirety of the pacific war, will be quite difficult haha!

@@ThePacificWarChannel yeah that will be quite tedious haha, most of the videos on these topics they just gloss over these and the animations get dull really fast, much prefer ones with real footage even if its still images and art from that time.

It’s IJA (imperial Japanese army) and not “IGA”

I think much like the Nanjing atrocities, the port Arthur crimes were definitely real and horrible, but exaggerated and portrayed in a 1 sided manor. Soldiers pretending to be civilians as well as torture and mutilation of IJA prisoners was a crime, and paranoid soldiers who can’t tell who the enemy is who have just seen their friends mutilated will inevitably take revenge and let their bestial nature out, and sadly many many innocent get caught up in it. I do think the numbers are usually exaggerated, it seems rather crazy that 300,000 people were murdered in Nanjing when the population there was 150,000 before the occupation…

Two movies, the first one is "The Sino-Japanese War at Sea 1894" and the second is "
Emperor Meiji and the Great Russo-Japanese War (1957)"
