Wow! Where do I begin? This is my favorite year of all the 1930's Fords. Those narrow teardrop headlights and the continuation of styling features through the fender design are what do it for me. What you've done with this car is beyond amazing. Just about all of the aesthetics including the riding stance have been kept in tact (no chopping on this work of art). On top of all that you've put in a modern 302 mill to help move this battleship with ease and keep up with the big boys on the highway. The icing on the cake is of course that gorgeous leather interior and those nice little white inserts on the interior doors. It would've been nice if this original piece of equipment lit up but that's a minor point considering everything else this magnificent car has going for it.
Well done by people that obviously know what they were doing. The craftmanship is incredible. I love everything about it, especially the color. Thank you for sharing

Not a huge fan of Customs , but this is beautifully done and the car retains most of its' original attractive appearance while being able to keep up with modern traffic .
Beautiful car. Looks brand new. Surprised at the engine and the electric windows, would have never suspected they weren't stock without actually seeing them.

"I'm not a four door guy"......I have heard this before, & you know, many classic 4 dr. sedan's have hit the scrap heap because of that, it's a 4 dr. I used to own a 1959 Fairlane 500 in gold & white, that was a 4 dr car & it looked pretty good, same with my '58 Buick 4dr pillarless sedan. Real cool looking car.
Lou Costabile 2 I own a 1956 fordor Ford Customline that my father bought new as a demonstrator. All original, always in our family, always garaged. To us it’s a family treasure. You should come film it Lou. I also have a 1948 Ford F1 retromod pickup and an incredible original 1927 Model T coupe you would enjoy.
That is so beautiful Lou, it is so wonderful to see a lovely job done and the upholstery is fabulous even tho it may not have been original. The paint job is fantastic. I feel the PT cruiser didnt quite cut the mustard in my opinion. Kind regards from New Zealand

Me gusta mucho el auto tengo uno en cuba quiero un motor como ese donde lo puedo comprar wow que compañía y cual es el modelo del motor ya tengo los retrovisores originales iguales los faroles traseros también
Had this same model stored at my aunties place and only thing missing on it was the left hand teardrop headlight. The engine and box to it was in a dodge truck stored in the front shed. When it was time to go get them, someone had stolen the car out of the backyard without my auntie knowing. Was such a straight and complete car. 😢😢😢😢😢

The guys I drive for demand a four door for "bank work." Just too slow trying to pile into the back of a coupe. In the old days Jim and Terry would stand on the running boards and spray lead with the Tommy guns.

this has got to be one of the best specials/customs ever built.
High praise :-)
That's the slickest , slantiest , coolest , 4 door, resto-mod , that I've ever seen !! I'd love to have an 80 yr old car when I turn 80 !!
High praise for this car :-) Seems like that would be a nice idea for an 80th birthday gift to get an 80 year old car.

You're right, it's the best of both worlds, Lou
The man knows what he likes! 1937 was a good year. Glad to see him enjoying his retirement and the fruits of his labor.

Very nice customization. You still feel like you're in a '37 even though it's been updated with all the modern conveniences.
Best of the old, combined with the new :-)
What a beautiful 37 Slant back!! The PT Cruiser doesn't compare in any way. Glad you made an exception to cover a 4 door Lou..

I agree some 4 doors look good, however they usually do not look as good as the same version in the 2 door, Lou
I think the 30's cars are an exception to the rule. I love the 30's 4-door look and style!

at 4:45 note the V8 is upside down?
That’s the pointer on the original radio. It swings from 55 to 150. It does mimic the V8 symbol but it could not rotate straight down.
:-0

Que modelo de motor es 305
Chevrolet
How valu this car ??
No idea.
The owner thinks Chrysler copied this for the pt Cruiser, but perhaps Ford copied the Chrysler Airflow in its design for this?
Hmmm, interesting....
