1936 Ford 5 to 3 window conversion and chop: Part 1: Backyardbuilds

- Welcome back to backyard builds, Zach has brought his dream car, a 1936 ford coupe. He has brought a 5 window, so in this build he will convert the car to a 3 window coupe while adding a 3 inch chop. The car was an ex tin top speedway car the car was rolled on to its roof cause the damage, making this the perfect car for this project. Massive thanks to Lucky's speed shop for their help and guidance in this project.

this is art, and actually get to drive it, can't wait to see how it turns out. was going to say so much cooler than the stuff in the national gallery but some of the stuff there is actually cool too haha.

Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window ? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..."
Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!"
Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky."
Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction."
Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
Would be great if you explained things as you go along..what doors are those that you are putting on?…how much are you moving the back roof section forward?..stuff like that..music is a little lame too…great build…
Thanks heaps for the feed back, the doors are 36 3 window coupe doors with the tops cut off them, we are looking to get back into this very shortly!!

Everyone loves pre 35 stuff, but I've only got eyes for 36 and 37s .. The later cars drive better on the open road too, I wouldnt really want to take a 32 on a long roadtrip. More iron for me I guess!

I most certainly did hit the deck.
Why dont you sandblast the steel first?
We didn’t sandblast it at this stage as the car will be acid dipped prior to panel and paint.
Less worthless music and more explanation of processes.
Cheers for the feedback, the shop the car is at has music all the time, makes it extremely hard with copywrite infringements from UA-cam.
Have you tried not showering, not fixing anything properly and some more heavy breathing?
Woops, think another channel is already doing that....

Wh@ a shameful thing to scrap a fine automobile. This is someone else's dream car. U should of waited for a change to get what u wanted. I have missed out on plenty of opportunities.
I am extremely unsure on how you think this car has been scrapped ?? How many 3 windows have to seen for sale in the states, let alone Australia? You will be super happy to know the car hasn't been worked on recently.
You seem to only buy awesome cars to refurb Zac, its like an illness. Hopefully tom catches it because he seems to always buy junk that he wont or cant fix 🤣🤣

That doesn't look like a backyard...and the music sucks...and that car is a rusty wreck. But continue on, I'm sure it will look great eventually.

Eventually. Finish current more complete projects took priority.
