Seeing he was "alone" and with out a date or company, he was jealous of them being a close family enjoying themselves. In his shoes I would've paid for their bill and said nothing if I had his pockets.

@Nitin Kataria well unless you are the owner of what ever establishment you are in, then it is not your right to act any way other than courteous to other patrons regardless of what you think. If you don't agree with the establishment's right to serve whomever they wish then it's you that need to leave. You are no better than anyone else on this planet.

My sons and I where eating out when they seen a man who was homeless. They asked can we buy him a meal, I approached him and asked what he would like. He said a breadstick, that he bought a cup of coffee and had a quarter left and was told that wasn't enough. I tried to order a meal, the manager, you can't buy him anything, every homeless person will start coming here, I was nice enough to let him warm up in here. I was pissed, told the manager I am buying him a meal and try me, I'll yell about you being an asshole. I delivered the meal and told him to choose what he wanted to drink. His eyes lit right up, he thanked me. Unlimited breadsticks with meal, so I said every time they walk by get one.

I am an employee of Panera Bread in Colorado. I love my customers! I have always tried to smile at everyone. Several have said that I make their day. I had a couple college girls who have come in for a hug as they are far from their families. I remember one young lady about 13 who was quite heavy and looked very self conscious. I gave her special attention asking about school etc.. It's amazing how small talk can bring a smile. One young woman was excited about her new hair style. You just know after a while how a word can give happiness or tears. Every life is precious no matter the color of your skin. Once before the pandemic started my daughter came in and as she ws leaving I gave her a hug and the man behind her said "Can I be next"? Sure.. Who knows what has happened to someone that a hug or smile is so important.. As my brother said He hopes the pandemic will come to an end soon so he can see smiles again! Me too!! I miss you all.. Don, I am like you with being outspoken and I don't care if someone is penniless or a multi-millionaire. I too would have stood alongside that Waitress who did the right thing by asking him to leave and this I know for fact because I have called people out on being rude and obnoxious towards other guests in restaurants near where I live. I personally respond to the content of somebody's character in determining how to treat them.
Don Bryson, I would also like to Thank You for your Service to Our Country along with the videos that you have put up of the Choir which I enjoyed listening to Sunday morning January 3rd 2021. May God Bless and Protect You and all Your Family whether they are blood related or Your Military Brothers and Sisters. Also best wishes to the Waitress and the Family that She defended, May God Bless and Protect them also.
