@@harvdog5669 I get logs that are sawn on two sides from the sawmill. I don’t do anything with kits because I enjoy doing the handcrafted work. Each log is chosen because of size. I put logs that are close to the same size in each round starting with the biggest and gradually working to the smaller ones. Blessings to you

Howdy Wayne- yeah, the hoist is a big life saver for sure. I have two different hoists- one that has a 16’ boom that I use until I get to the second floor joists. The other has a boom that is around 9’ long. The base 7’ one all three sides. I have a video of how I built and put together the shorter hoist. You can go back in our videos and watch it.
