  • This is the 2nd replacement I have done in one year. I speak most of the information in the video about the first one and why I'm doing it again.
After I completed this video, the second charge time from 58% -100% was again 10 hours. I've noticed that the battery will still drain while plugged into the charger, and I tried two chargers, that work well on my other tablet and phones including the new charger I just got on the new Tab A I bought.
So, It seems that it is a crap-shoot to get a fresh enough battery to react like the original, in that it only takes 1 hr to charge it from 50% to 100% and it lasts 8 hrs unplugged as I use it in my normal manner. I need to look for additional battery options. Since this is a 7 yr old tablet, the battery style may not be used in newer designs, pity, and there may only be old-new stock available at this point. So sad to bad for me and others if this is true. I don't want to let this tab go unless it is physically/ electrically broken.

Hey great video. Just wondering where you ended up actually getting the battery from? Thanks!

I got it on eBay here

these guys are in Ottawa Ontario. Since I live here, it was better for me to buy it in Canadian dollars and have free shipping.
