The exhaust note alone is damn near worth the price of admission. A guy who works in the same building as me has a G63. When he pulls into the garage, I can't even explain how beastly that thing sounds. It is insane.
Despite it's many faults there are absolutely no analogues to this vehicle. It packs decades of history and knowledge from the master craftsmen of Mercedes Benz. It has a strong energy surrounding it. The driver is empowered by it, while others are horrified by it. Not every simple mortal can handle this type of beast, and nor everyone should - the G Class is made for the few chosen. So lets just take every moment possible, to admire this great piece of automobile glory.
Please forgive me for putting things out of context - I wasn't really aware of the situation concerning the drivers of the G-Class in the States. Talking from (East) Europes perspective, however, it is to note that mostly successful people are to drive this machine. This things cost a ton over here, and when money is a specifically a hard thing to get around, I have nothing else to do, than to admire the successful people that let themselves own this car. Oh, and then there's, of course, the mafia, which only reaffirm the horrific stance of this vehicle. Good day!

I just recently bought a white G63 Designo Edition and it is great i love driving it and the sound it makes is crazy, love this car one of my top favorites

Agreed! The Designo Palladium Matte Gray is equally stunning. The two tone Designo Light Sand Brown Nappa leather is pretty darn awesome too. Fully loaded at 153K (incl. matte paint, Designo diamond embroidered leather and carbon fiber dash) it's not a bad expense spread over 10yrs and will still be a visually stunning vehicle, even then.

i live in the US and the w204 never came as a diesel. :( I currently have c230 kompressor w203 with the rare (for the US) 6MT. my other car is a 9-3 wagon, but am hunting for a viggen.
I'm hunting for a 9-3 viggen, not a plane haha. I had an 88 325ix and it was quite fun. I took it to the mountains to ski but then it became more trouble than it was worth so i upgraded to the 9-3 wagon with awd. I want to swap the wagon for the viggen because i don't really have a need for wagon anymore and since I live in a city, the added length limits the number of parking spots I can fit in.

I have never owned a honda but i am pretty sure they do albeit not too much. every car requires torque to me and it is the torque that move the car by putting pressure on the crank shaft and the transmission which is connected to the cahssis.

11:30 5.5L V8? Are you sure that's right? Usually the "63" in the model name denotes a 6.2L under the hood on MB's other models (C63, S63, E63, etc.) I supposed it could have a 5.5L and they call it the G63 since it is turbo'd. Kinda confusing.

I was in Coburg, Bayern with my aunty's family and my aunty had to catch a flight from Frankfurt to go to US. I had a G65 on test that time. I was supposed to drop her off and she recommended me to take her Audi A8 TDI as it would be much faster than "that fancy Mercedes Jeep" on the autobahn as she was running late. I insisted her that it wouldn't make any difference and took the G65 anyway. She was a bit uncomfortable because of the way this thing looks from outside (not fast at all) so to establish her faith in the vehicle I chose, I floored it the moment I saw a sign board ending the 120 km/hr speed limit. That freaked out "Oooohhhh" from her at that moment was so satisfying to hear!
Plz do a cayenne turbo or turbo s, if u can.... I dnt think u hv done 1 of them, so far... Also in some cars u hav done a little test drive(like u did in mclaren once , if I m right and few others) , can u do it more often if possible... Thnks...nice review

Unlike other cars that accelerate and push you back, this car sinks you into the ground, it feels like it eats the tarmac. This vehicle is something only the toughest of people should try out driving. I'm not kidding. If you arever even slightly intimidated by this car, do NOT drive it. You just won't understand the trueness of the engineering and solid build with your fear. This car is 140k of pure masculinity. One of a few unique car models in the world.
One of the best SUV/Trucks money can buy. This is the complete package: Fast, Strong, Luxurious, and Off-road worthy. No SUV can beat this besides its bigger brother the G65 and the 6x6.

#AJ 15 almost all Honda are transverse front wheel drive so there is almost no body movement however there is torque steer

The 6.2 was replaced in favour of the more fuel efficient 5.5L biturbo its been about 2-3 years now.
