Unpopular opinions: what we decided at our wedding 👀

Reasons why our wedding isn’t traditional- it escalated quickly 🤣
1. Getting married in a garden
Both Lucien and I are just into celebrating being together but nothing about religious meanings etc.. No church for usss (even though it is super beautiful so do so) 🤌🏼 we are the least religious so wouldn’t make sense I mean we wouldn’t even have the choice 🤣
1b. NOT INVITING PLUS ONES
We consider our wedding to be pretty small and didn’t want people we didn’t know there, obviously made a few exceptions but we are glad to be around close close family and friends 😬
2. NOT HAVING A CATERER
Yes going to do food ourselves, we are lucky to be getting married at Luciens family home (which is also saving us SO much money for a venue) but we also have a kitchen, and everything we need to prepare at home 😎
3. NO ALCOHOL AT THE WEDDING 🤯
Yeahhh that option didn’t last long as everyone in the family drinks, so obviously we are having alcohol. But it makes us mad to think of everyone gives importance to something that we find isn’t “fun” and can actually ruin moments (and so much more) but the fact we both don’t drink we wanted to show people a wedding can be fun without it. But oh well 🤣 CHEERS 🙃🍻
4. NO VOWS
Another thing we don’t want to do, in public at least🤣 it’s cringey, and just no🤣
