Dude let me try to find this forever. When I saw it for the first time. It was great to see Miyoko jacked up like that. the 🎹 is her first love but the passion for guitar is the same. She picked up the guitar around 17 years old. That means she's still a baby in guitar years. How sick is that.

@@polski21twelve70 Mao is a keyboardist/composer who has worked with Miho, Midori, and Asami, supporting their composing efforts and has provided some keyboard support on studio recordings. He is the only 'non-band-member' that has been so involved. Due to his not being 'in the band' I believe he gets 'writing credit' whenever he contributes, as opposed to Midori, for example, who writes her own solos, but is not credited for those contributions, If Mao made such a contribution, he would receive credit. He has provided the basic music for several songs, Holy War, Edge of the World & We The United, for example, but as a keyboardist, it is (in my opinion) the 'arrangements' by LOVEBITES members that make it all METAL, with the hyper-speed, tremolo-picked, palm-muted guitars and Haruna's drumming (!!!) in sync with Miho's bass work. Wonderful contributions by all. Mao writes no lyrics, as is also the case with Miyako, except Holy War which lyrics are credited to "LOVEBITES" so she is included. There are also videos of her in previoius bands A Drop of Joker and 21g, going all the way back to 2014. Enjoy the trip into the past :0)
Some time between Clockwork Immortality and Electric Pentagram they decided to go for a more regal presentation and playing their songs perfectly live. If you find a video from their Daughters of the Dawn DVD/BD they are way more animated but there are noticeable flaws. I have no idea how they'll change their presentation with the new bassist but I doubt they'll drop the achieving perfection part of it.
They just had to keep it down because of Covid restrictions I think. If they can't be animated and play good then that's a problem for them if they want to be a "metal" band.
Yes, they were a lot wilder at the beginning, like Wacken Open Air live and live Battle in the East. Recent Lovebites is more planed performing but I love both the wild natural Lovebites and Lovebites as well planed show like Swan Song, A Frozen Serenade, or Winds of Transylvania.....but Miho might not have liked it. Miho seemed enjoying free and loose workshop or jam session style performance.
@@gatograto Miho was the boss of the band, if she didn't like it she wouldn't have done it. This perfromance in particular is a restricted one they did in covid times, they can't be too much anymated, if you noticed even Asami never really did her crowd thing (raising her hand and fist or whatever). All performances are planned if you didn't know, they pratice and rehearse everything, Lovebites always played to a click track so nothing was improvised, they are still the same way they always been, they are just being more theatrical with it in this last performance
You have to ask yourself if you were offered a chance to attend this concert with all the Covid restrictions including no shouting and cheering, would you go? To see Miyako move around and rock out, look at the earlier shows. Wacken gig and Bloodstock, both from 2018. The audio is poor for Bloodstock but you can still enjoy it and watch Miyako before the bizarre decision to make her the ice princess. As for the delay with the wireless, I reckon if there is any, it is all sorted in post production. Remember most of the videos you watch are 'lifted' from DVD's/Bluray's so have been post produced for balance, stereo mixing, reverb on the voice etc.
Why would there be any delay with wireless transmission? Radio waves move at the speed of light so why would that be any slower than a signal running through a cable? There is no delay. I used radio microphones for performing for many years and never detected so much as a hint of a delay and the same is true of wireless guitar systems. I think most big bands use wireless systems these days. They just make more sense. They're a god send for avoiding all those blasted wires you used to have littering the stage with trip hazards and allow much freedom of movement around the stage. The only thing limiting Midori and Miyako's freedom are their pedal boards which they have to return to for various transitions such as effects and solos etc.

Great review as always!! It's not "Above The Red Sky", It's either "Above The Black Sea" or "Under the Red Sky". Miyako composed these songs as love letters to Rachmaninov, that she said in an interview. Rachmaninov is her favorite composer.
